Lmao I love how OP and Himi are releasing new content on the same day. Not related to GG's, but since YEOUN will be releasing the 4th gen BG ranking soon, my own thoughts about ONEUS, my ult 4th gen BG: 1) Seoho (Low-Mid (or even Low) Average/Standard/C) Estimated Supported Range: E3/F3 - F4/F#4 [Best: D3 - F#4] Seoho is the strongest vocalist of ONEUS no doubt about it with the only member having full-enough sense of support even if it's not really that great or "full" full per se (it's not shallow, but it doesn't really have the fullness either lol). His lower register is under-explored and even lacks consistency, thus underdeveloped; he can support down to D3 at best (his "Epiphany" cover and the ONEUS CNBlue cover), but then he flops a E3 the next or lacks consistency on his E3's ("Epiphany" cover and "Luna"); his lower register even lacks fullness (and can be too soft as well) as well due to his stylistic choices (his "fullest" was his "Epiphany" cover). Due to the lack of material in his lower range and how under explored it is, I'll give him E3/F3 for lower range for now; his mixed register is his most used register and not surprisingly, his most developed; he sings with a light mix which minimizes strain above his supported range and allows him to sing higher without any problem (which is why he is in charge of the higher range in their songs) but at the same time, he tends to sing too lightly and thus mixed range lacks chest presence/coordination and fullness (I mean he can have his "full" moments when he wants to, but still lacks chest presence/coordination); can support up to F4/F#4 in mixed voice but tightness can occur in mixed voice and gets worse as he gets above supported range; nasality is present throughout (but not as glaring as Keonhee's). 2) Keonhee (Low-Mid Weak-Average/Substandard-Standard/D+) Estimated Supported Range: E3/F3 - E4/F4 At first, I thought he could be fringe average/standard, but as I looked more in-depth in more material, he's more shallow and even more frequently pretty shallow than I initially thought (he's pretty shallow a good amount or even most of the time lmao)...yea, placing Keonhee was quite a journey from fringe A to mid-high W-A to now low-mid W-A (because even Miyeon sounds stronger than he does tbh lol); he sounds around Rose-ish level. His nasality is the most glaring issue and a primary reason why his support isn't "solid" or "full" yet and thus, shallow lol. However, he can have his fuller moments in his own covers (eg Weekly Idol episode with ATEEZ), but yea in ONEUS songs, he is pretty shallow lmao. Based on what I've heard from his covers, he can support down to E3/F3 with sufficiency in chest voice; below that he gets muffled. He can support up to E4/F4 in his mix though his mix is shallow in support ofc and tightness can be found there as well which like Seoho's, gets worse as he gets above supported range. Hm I think Moonbyul, with more materials, has a chance to edge him out even by a slight tbh. 3) Leedo (Underdeveloped/E) Estimated Supported Range: N/A Like all the "claimed" baritones (V, Jaehyun, Sungjae, Seungyoon, Seungmin, Felix, etc.) we all know in KPOP and the rest of his group, Leedo is a tenor (most likely a lower tenor). He does support occassionally though it's quite shallow and weak and very inconsistent (there are times when he does sound like a low D though, and I don't mind if he turns out to be a very low D instead since he and Keonhee don't sound way too far apart lmao), and he's just relaxed most of the time. He doesn't sound as nasal as Seoho or Keonhee even if he's way weaker lol. Like Seoho (but way weaker), he sings way too lightly with lack of true chest development. Airiness/breathiness is a very glaring issue for Leedo which is why he is quite shallow usually (lack of vocal closure/connection). He also has intonation/tuning issues due to his airiness/breathiness. Throat placement can also happen as well iirc. 4) Xion, Ravn, Hwanwoong (Non-vocalists/F) The bottom 3 are interchangeable more or less since none of them have the basics of true technical singing down. They all have various glaring issues, even in their mid-range, that prevents them from being in par with Leedo above them. In my personal ranking, I decided to place Xion above the two since he sounds more relaxed and open/less closed/tight compared to the two below and has shown attempts of chest engagement (it was tense, pushed, and undeveloped, but it can be heard, so A for effort ig lol) in a most recent cover even though he has glaring issues with pitch/intonation (his pitch is quite floppy lol) and lack of confidence (as admitted); Ravn also sounds more relaxed than Hwanwoong as well iirc (he seems to have the best pitch/intonation out of the three based on what I heard so far lol); Hwanwoong gets placed above these two quite frequently due to more singing material ig but I decided to put him below due to his glaring issues with nasality (placement), tightness, tension, and even occasional pitch/intonation issues...he doesn't sound as open and relaxed as either Xion or Ravn from what I heard so far lol. If there is anyone also familiar with ONEUS and disagrees with some part of my analysis, please let me know lol. I mean, I'm still learning after all so not like I'm a true expert or anything lol. ***EDIT: there was a comment some time ago during their "Bring It On" comeback who said that Seoho sounded fuller in their comeback, and while I agree that he doesn't sound as "light" as usual (and he can sound "full" when he wants to), the reason for this is not because of more chest engagement or better chest coordination, but rather because he defaults to a tight throat to produce a "fuller" and "powerful" sound since he doesn't have the chest engagement/coordination to produce this proper type of sound yet; in all of their live performances of "Bring It On" and any live performances when he has to sing in the higher range of their songs, he sounds tight throughout but the strain is not that noticeable because of his light mix. ***EDIT 2: so yes, Seoho’s biggest issue in terms of technique is his underdeveloped/weak chest (TA) engagement/coordination which is why his lower range is underdeveloped and even inconsistent overall and why he has to default to a tight throat for a powerful and fuller sound due to his light mix. Keonhee’s biggest issue is his nasality/projection through the nose (due to not lifting his soft palette), and Leedo’s biggest issue is his breathiness/airiness. ***EDIT 3: after listening to their covers again, I take back Keonhee having stronger chest (TA) engagement/coordination. Also, Seoho can have decent lows when he wants; otherwise, it's pretty inconsistent due to a mix of stylistic choices and underdeveloped chest (TA) engagement/coordination though the weak chest (TA) engagement applies more to his mix.

F+ (non-vocalist). By the way, tier system w/ letters like A,B,C,D... etc. are unnecessarily detailed for me. It's not like there are big gaps between the idols within the weak tier, they all are more or less interchangeable. Only higher weaks are closer to W-A, but that's all.

What i want to see in 4th gen singers is them doing grits, intentional rasp or growling. Idk if its just me being a obsessed fan of beyonce or lady gaga, but im just a suck3r for singers doing those kind of techniques in singing. And that is why Winter is one of my fave singers on 4th gen, I hope she hones it more and explore more of doing it those in her singing!

wait kyujin is in the Average tier now?? why so?? proud of her
2:25 seems like it’s much easier for Haewon to support her higher mixed notes when she’s going for a headier mix instead of a pushy beltier sound
hope she realizes this because a more belty sound ofc sounds more impressive but here she lightened her mix a bit and it’s much easier and healthy sounding

@@divaqueening1940 what do you mean by that?

Not related to GG's, but since YEOUN will be releasing the 4th gen BG ranking soon, my own thoughts about ONEUS, my ult 4th gen BG:
1) Seoho (Low-Mid (or even Low) Average/Standard/C)
Estimated Supported Range: E3/F3 - F4/F#4 [Best: D3 - F#4]
Seoho is the strongest vocalist of ONEUS no doubt about it with the only member having full-enough sense of support even if it's not really that great or "full" full per se (it's not shallow, but it doesn't really have the fullness either lol).
2) Keonhee (Low-Mid Weak-Average/Substandard-Standard/D+)
Estimated Supported Range: E3/F3 - E4/F4
At first, I thought he could be fringe average/standard, but as I looked more in-depth in more material, he's more shallow and even more frequently pretty shallow than I initially thought (he's pretty shallow a good amount or even most of the time lmao)...yea, placing Keonhee was quite a journey from fringe A to mid-high W-A to now low-mid W-A (because even Miyeon sounds stronger than he does tbh lol); he sounds around Rose-ish level.
3) Leedo (Underdeveloped/E)
Estimated Supported Range: N/A
Like all the "claimed" baritones (V, Jaehyun, Sungjae, Seungyoon, Seungmin, Felix, etc.) we all know in KPOP and the rest of his group, Leedo is a tenor (most likely a lower tenor).
4) Xion, Ravn, Hwanwoong (Non-vocalists/F)
The bottom 3 are interchangeable more or less since none of them have the basics of true technical singing down.
Would seoho be above jongho or below him? I'm not familiar with him at all but I'm trying to get into ONEUS

people are now obsessed with aespa sub vocals vs nmixx sub/lead(?) vocals lmfao.....i honestly don't think it's fair to compare karina's studio vocals to nmixx's live ones (giselle barely has anything so i won't be talking about her) those 3 nmixx girls didn't sing within their support range in the 2 song they have as far as i remember jinni didn't even sing at all so there's not much studio vocals to compare with karina's and in live singing karina and those 3 all can get messy, shallow and just overall very not averagelike BUT still so far i will give karina a upper hand over them unless i get more full supported moments from jinni preferably live ones, don't have much hopes from sullyoon even tho she's my fav w-a vocalist she still got a long way to go, kyujin would be a interesting one tho since she's still very young i think she'll have the best lows in the group at least
@@Brybeery yes i have mentioned that at the end about sullyoon has to go a long way she's still relatively quiet shallow compared to higher w-a's but about the studio singing aren't all of her lines in their 2 songs in the 5th octave? that's out of her support range so i don't think there's anything to compare to karina's studio vocals(within het support range)
idk but karina can get shallow if she fully supported in next CB she will be Average but idk about nmixx their too much hype them agree about lily and heawon their have pretty voice and wides range but the others member cmon their still weak vocalist idk but sullyoon can get nasal and shallow (same time massy) kyujin low its okey but her mix still hard control, jinny idk in mama cover she good buts lipsync (studio ver) + JYP cover too much auto tune hedeheh idk about jiwoo and bae but except Lily and heawon.
BTW Karina still better idk why she cannot consistent actually she have a great Vibrato, Riff and Runs good like average but sadly she can gets shallow
@@Brybeery ngl sullyoon is kind of overhyped maybe it's due to her not being that stuck and tight in the 5th octave compared to other w-a's that people think she's quite strong but she can get quite messy in her support range even around A4 and her lows aren't impressive like kyujin's, i still love her voice tone though, it sounds like a fairy singing
@@Seulgi_bff How so? Jinni has shown more messy coordination even below Bb4s than sullyoon, even Jiwoo has shown better support up there than jinni.
They're pretty alike development wise. They're all W-A with support up to A4/Bb4, so I don't think it's worthy to discuss.
What vocal tier is Kyujin? Does anybody know jiwoos?
kyujin is estimated to be a low average & jiwoo is a weak to average
Fo now kyujin still W-A
How was karina’s run here? Granted it’s studio version but we’ve never heard this from her before

not bad but overall i find karina’s voice straightforward heavy most of times for this kind of quirk, someway it reminds me of nayeon when she attempts running
What are your thoughts on chanty's part of your world cover did she show some support here ua-cam.com/video/WAa9itWaXyw/v-deo.html
yeah i’d say there’s some support carried upto A4 ~ Bb4ish @1:27
@ so chanty can support in lapillus right does she can support head voice
