I love your Glass Cockpit. The Champ I learned to fly in had 4 flight instruments, Airspeed, Altimeter, Compass & Turn and Bank. 3 engine instruments, Tach, Oil Pressure and Temp. Best of all, it had a fuel gauge. The first time I flew in a plane with a radio I was in high cotton.
That was somewhere north of 8000 hours and 60 years ago. I gave up single pilot flying 6 years ago, lost too many friends that grew slower than the plane.
Love your flying skills and attention to details.
I love your program and and when you talk to ATC they never have a problem understanding you.

Sorry I missed the live today. I was actually at the local airport at a Civil Air Patrol open house exploring possible pathways to a ppl. $$$ is a big limiting factor but might be able to join CAP as a flight crew member and get flight experience that way. Big thanks for the gifted membership - not sure how to see who my benefactor was but it’s appreciated.
If you can get into cap it is a great way to build free hours. I looked into it at one point. Let me know if you go that route!

Yes please share with us about your instruments. You mention you use to fly with flight simulator. I'm looking at that at the moment. So i can get a feel what its like to fly a plane. I figure i need to start somewhere and it is exciting and scary at the same time. A.Fan

❤💯🙏 Just an ole man's opinion, on who to fly with, you ask. With a long haul trip, like Bahamas etc, for now my opinion is 100% with Pops or another 100% Qualified IFR Pilot, until you are 100% without a doubt comfortable with all aspects in clouding Auto Pilot, and are an IFR Pro, and even then a Certified pilot in case of fatigue or malfunction. Some of those places, i know you know, the weather can change in MINITUES> 🙏From SE Texas a BIG Fan Bear :)

I like the camera visuals from outside of the plane when you're flying. We live in Washington State - very far away. It's fun to see the landscape from other states and cities. Very different, fun to look at. You should come up here and fly around Mt. Rainier!

Are you concerned about freezing rain?
My friend lost his right engine due to carburator ice at about 3000 feet and to make things worse, his windshield froze over and he couldn't see out. Only his expertise in flying saved the day. He informed the tower of a missed approach, got cleared to5000ft. ,turned the heaters on cleared the carburator ice , restarted the right engine , then made another approach, and landed.
