That 13th cenutry segment sounded a lot like a medieval era SCP entry, my main man Duke Berka inventing the idea of D-class. Of course the difference is, it might actually be real instead of fictitious. Amazing historical bit, folks. Bless you.

This hair turning white thing happened to me when I was 29. Except it didn’t happen overnight while I slept, it happened during the daytime. I won’t get into the details of the stresses I incurred over the course of several hours, but I had started the day with my normal red hair, then later on in the day I flipped my visor down to look in the mirror and the entire front of my hair, about a baseball sized portion was pure white.
Twin peaks is all well and good, if you want something similar with a more pg rating look to gravity falls. Lots of good laughs to be had with it as well.
@@viewergreg I gained more appreciation for the final season when I rewatched the show. There's a UA-cam channel, Lost Explained, that breaks down how a lot of the unanswered questions were , in fact, answered.
Twin Peaks is very occultic and who can deny that the reference to "see you in X years" that proved all too true is undeniably strange and (again) occultic in its implications
The dismissal of Thomas Moore as being just a "criminal" wasn't fair. He was King Henry's Lord High Chancellor & was religiously persecuted by King Henry for refusing to acknowledge the King's wish to separate the church in England from Rome.
Hey guys recently I have gotten into your podcasts. They are very addicting and you guys do a great job with them. I am fellow believer myself and i appreciate the apologetics aim that you guys have. I have one question though, recently I have gotten interested in a lot of this “fringe” stuff and I can’t help but think about Paul’s warning in multiple places about avoiding speculative stuff such as “As I urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine, nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith.” 1 Timothy 1:3-4 It seems to me a lot of this content can’t help but be speculative in nature and shrouded in a lot of myth. How would you guys as fellow believers respond to that? How do you feel that you are not violating these texts of scripture? I am sincerely not trying to be contentious, this is mostly for myself and my walk so I can have a clean conscience before the Lord. Thanks for any response
I can't speak for the myth side of things, but from my understanding the main concern and context of the passage is the stewardship of said teachers. I grew up in a Mormon home and they teach a very twisted version of a ministerial priesthood. The idea of avoiding endless genealogies, the people receiving the Mormon priesthood have a certificate of who they received it from and who the prior person received it from etc. For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not being merely human? 1 Corinthians 3:4 ESV Where we understand as protestants the priesthood of all believers, we are all priests in God's kingdom ordained through the holy spirit that we receive not by man but by God. So in other words not promoting a handing down or a superstition or tradition of the stewardship we have as believers, but understanding it is from God alone.
"In this context, "myths" are traditions not found in the Scriptures, which add to or contradict biblical teaching. Not all traditions are bad, but those which conflict with God's Word certainly are. Discussing these myths is one thing, but far worse is to be devoted to them." Just got this from a commentary regarding the myths. I would say it's fine to speculate as long as it's not taught as doctrine or being "devoted" to it in practice. God bless you brother in your search for truth and in wanting a clean conscience!
I'm not here to give you a reply from Scripture, cause Paul Spicer did a good job of that, but here's my personal testimony. When I was younger, I was interested in paganism in an unhealthy way. I thought of it all as cool and sort of epic and though I knew it was forbidden to me as a Christian, I kind of wanted to live in a world where magic worked. Now, after many years of growing in Christ, repenting, being chastised, etc., I realize that He is really all in all. I am still interested in the topics found on this podcast, and in fact have done a lot of my own research about the elohim, the nephilim, and the ancient world. But now, the emotional tone is different. Paganism seems tedious and sad. The lie is always the same. The false gods, when they do manifest, cause horror and madness. I am so grateful to Christ for bringing about a world that is increasingly free from these terrors. Now, the more I learn about the pre -Christian world, the gladder I am not to live there. I guess I'm saying there's a right and a wrong way to be interested in these speculations. It depends who is getting the glory and who has your heart.
I feel like the 2005 movie, "The Cave," starring Cole Hauser, is loosely based on the Houska Castle lore. Idk though cuz I haven't seen anyone else who thinks that.

Interesting so many names of characters in video games, and movies and stuff have these names. I heard of these names, but not from this biblical standpoint.
EDIT: As for Saint Thomas More being dismissed in this podcast as a mere 'criminal', and considering your response, let's do this analogy then. If a Catholic podcast were to say of Martin Luther, John Calvin, Zwingli (or whichever Reformation figure you prefer), "He was a criminal guilty of the canonical crime of heresy." and then move on with no further context, would you consider that intellectually honest? Well, none of those men are Jesus, right? I think we all know the answer. With regards to the supposed 'crime' committed by Saint Thomas More, you guys might want to crack your Bibles and check out the story of King David, the prophet Nathan, and Bathsheba (from 2 Samuel) to see how God feels about kings committing adultery and arranging to have their servants and retainers killed. ;)
The early 1980's movie "The Keep", sounds based on this... it concerns NAZI troops being mysteriously killed by an unknown entity... that turns out to be a Demon caged in the Castle 🏰 / Monastery they are occupying... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Houska_Castle
There was a Balrog for SURE down there.

Totally what I was going to say.
Obviously no one thought to yell "You shall not pass!!" into the pit.
...I'm very curious what kind of evil chemistry it left behind! 🤔
Are you guys going to do something on Cern?
I was just thinking about this

Did it grow back normal?
Did it go back later? You can take some supplements and anti-inflammatories that might help. 🤔👍🏻
