If there is no sound from your Cloud Alpha please make sure the cable is pushed in all the way so that the gray ring is no longer visible. The connection to the headphones is sturdier to prevent accidental unplugging, so it must be pushed in firmly when connecting.

yea im pushing 70 hoping to get these gaming headphones for all my gaming needs.
Mike I was wondering the same because of the plug that come with this headset I mean everything I plugged to my PS4 controller sounds very low and that looks like a big headset so I’m not sure how Loud the hyper x alpha can be to be honest I only use the Sony Bluetooth and love the sound it’s super clear but the only problem it’s the head band it brakes too easy that’s why I was looking for a new headset
A lot of the headsets will have this low volume problem when you use it on the ps4, the console and the controller can not power enough the headset, the audio controller of the ps4 just sucks. If you encounter a low volume problem on your ps4, I would rather exchange for a headset that doesn't have this problem with the ps4 or you can buy a portable sound card and plug it to the usb of your ps4.

I don't own the HyperX Alpha, but I own the Cloud Revolver which made weird cracking noises (mechanical cracking noises) and withing 4 days, I got a complete new replacement. HyperX support rocks! And their hardware too of course! :)

i think the missing thing from the alphas is being able to click a button so that it is perfect for music, if they added that then i wouldnt be debating between this and m40x + vmoda mic ( +brainvavs which i already have XD)

Correct! Any headset with a 3.5mm audio jack can be used with the USB sound card.

Should I upgrade my ps4 gold headset to the hyperx cloud alpha? I play mainly on ps4, and I have heard that the hyperx cloud alpha isn't loud enough on ps4.
You might want to look into the Coud II headset. The latest firmware update allows you to plug it in using the USB dongle on the PS4. Loudness wont be an issue for you!

I want to get the alphas cuz they seem to be awesome, but im not sure if they are gonna be useful with iPhone 7 or PS4, because of the 65 Ohms of the headset, you know.

Depending on the device and environment you are using there is a possibility that the maximum volume is different on both devices. In general both devices are great with the Alpha. Ensure to have an 3.5 mm adapter when using it with the iPhone 7.
HyperX great, thanks for the fast response. I finally got them and they sound awesome. It’s true that I can reach top volume on the iPhone but it’s quite loud so I would never need any more volume. And it’s also great because, even in loud volumes they don’t get any distortion. Thanks a lot #HyperX!

I just bought Cloud Alpha yesterday and it has really fantastic quality sound cause i tested Cloud II too in a tech market. But I have little cons about Alpha, it has a clamp force on just bottom of my ear and jaws. It is of pressure a lil bit and that makes me feel uncomfortable. I cant be sure it goes off ? Cloud II had more comfort. Is it temporary ?
If you don't like the clamp force and the headset feels uncomfortable, we would recommend to contact your point of purchase and claim a replacement or a refund.

We cannot guarantee that the clamp force will decrease but it is very likely that the headset will become more comfortable.

It will work with most android phones, check that your phone has a 4 pole 3.5mm jack port. You can connect our Cloud Alpha headset using the aux cable.

It is very similar to the Cloud II if you connect it via 3.5mm jack.

Does the 7.1 USB adapter with cloud 2 work on ps4 now? I know it didn't, but noticed you said on a comment it does now after a firmware update, is this correct?

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that it will work and that the sound quality will be as good as with the Cloud II.
The Cloud II USB Sound Card is not optimized for the Cloud Alpha.

My Headset broked last Week so im looking for new Headsets. I Really want a Hyper Cloud Headset BUT last year I bought a Hyperx cloud II for my little Brother. But He can't use the Controle system. Also the headset was to quite.
Btw we are playing on PS4 only.

If you download the new firmware of the Cloud II headset, you can use it now with the PS4 (with all the control functions through the USB sound card). You also can check out the specs of other headsets like Cloud Revolver S, Cloud Flight which work via USB for PS4. Almost all of our headsets are also compatible via the 3.5 mm jack through the PS4 controller.

Please unplug the main cable again and push it with a little force back in so that no grey part of the jack connection can be seen. This should solve the issue, let us know if it does't!
I do not recommend. Microphone does not work, several people on the internet have already complained about the same thing, considering the price of the product should not have this type of problem.

Too bad when I bought this headset, the microphone wasn't working. Tried everything to fix it on PC, didn't work. Tested it with my phone, also didn't work. Wrote to HyperX, they told me some things to try, which I had already tried. Then they asked me to send it to their UK location for inspection, couldn't be asked to wait that long without a headset. Ended up returning it for a full refund :)
Torpedo Hippo I’m having the same problem, I was super excited too get it and now I don’t know what headset to get -_-
10k i just went back to the Cloud 2 :-) no problems with it. Another thing I find funny is that the Alpha is priced higher than the C2, yet the C2 comes in a MUCH nicer packaging, comes with a jack splitter and cloth ear muffs (at least im pretty sure the Alpha didn't have the cloth ones)... So all in all the C2 is cheaper, comes in a better oackage and with more accesories and most important of all, it works..
I think it cost more because of the refined design, detachable cables and dual chambers. Also it felt smaller because the C2 is 53.mm and the CA is 50.mm, honestly from your comments I think most of your issue with the CA isn't the price or the packaging but it has more to do with you buying it and the mic being faulty, which isn't that surprising since it just came out. The revolvers had problems too.
SHAMROCK458 the C2 has more accessories than the alpha, but alpha has dual chamber and detachable cables (which is useless btw), yet it's pricier and comes in a worse packaging and there shouldn't be any problems at launch either
+Torpedo Hippo nope actually the detachable cables are FAR from useless, because if your cable breaks you could easily replace with a new one from HyperX or maybe a different one. You don't have to buy a brand new set of cans just because the wire went bad. And I bring up the defects because you sound like a dissatisfied customer who's mad that the product he brought didn't work out of package even though defects like that happen all the time and the headset comes with a 2 year warranty.

Kotak Topi after around 20 mins I got pain but most people think they are comfy, I think my problem was because I wear glasses, I recommend trying them on in a shop before you buy.
I have glasses and they are still super comfortable for me. I’ve heard lots of issues about this but it might just depend on your ear size or something because I can wear these for hours without getting any pain.
