This movie is not underrated, it's a respected classic. Fair, it's a extraordinary experience in every single way, and my fave horror movie of all time.
Gore Verbinski (Director) did this so well, he likes absolutely every shot, every scene, every scream, everything, but absolutely everything. This is the best movie I have ever watched. I’m thrilled with the acting, Naomi Watts brilliantly played by Rachel Keller. Martin brilliantly played Noah Clay. Hans Zimmer beautifully composed music, violins, piano, creepy wind and every sound effect. The makeup is great, especially on Samara (Daveigh Chase) of course, I like the story written by Koji Suzuki. the editor did his job just right: coming out of the TV, green screen, red wood, all sorts of effects. Also, I watched the movie "Ringu" the Japanese version, but I still think that this, the American version is better shot and blended! I think there is a lot more to talk about this film.
The Ring has a lot of meaning and such interesting facts about the "unnatural force" and Samara's backstory itself. I love both The Ring and Ringu, they're different films with different cultures, and they're great in their own ways, i have a special love for Samara and Sadako ❤ The Ring is iconic because of Samara's horror, but Naomi Watts' and Daveigh Chase's acting, Hans Zimmer's score and the meaning of Samara's existence, her evil and her good together, is totally underrated. One of the best horror movie i've ever watch, and one of the best remakes of the genre (horror/thriller).
@@mieshocked1450 i love when you reply to my comment because we have the same opinion. I really like the movie "Circle" and I would like them to make more parts. Also, Naomi Watts, Martin Henderson and Brian Cox are my favorite actors, Gore Verbisnki is my favorite director and Hans Zimmer is my favorite composer. This horror / thriller changed my life.❤️
Yes, me too. Ringu is great, but The Ring is better in many aspects. They also explored the villain (Samara) in a much better way Ringu did with Sadako's character
While I think Ringu is the better movie overall (it’s much scarier and has more creepy atmosphere), I do love the remake a lot in terms of character development for Rachel and Samara, the perfect score by Hans Zimmer, and the different approach they took in exploring Samara’s backstory as opposed to Sadako’s.
One of the best and underrated Horror films ever Samara is a iconic horror villain! This movie will always have a special place in my heart

The cinematography and the soundtrack are pretty much the reason why I prefer the american remake.

The Da Vinci Code at 3:37.
I feel the Dead Man's Chest here.

This part plays subtly on the Ring videotape when the horses are dying on the beach. Makes it twice as creepy for me.

I think some aspects of Ringu are better, but others are better in The Ring.
