Thanks for this video, which inspired me to take a closer look at our jetted tub that stopped working several years ago. Turns out the plastic tube had disconnected from the push button assembly. So there is a variation on the theme.
Mark....I owe you BIG TIME on this! I was looking at replacing the pump. There was no hum, and the motor would not turn on at all. I looked at all sorts of suggestions from others regarding what might be the problem and then I ran across your video. You totally saved me money and frankly TONS OF TIME! I had a foot pump and did exactly as you showed and my tub fired right up! Couldn't believe I was so lucky. Frankly lucky that I saw YOUR VIDEO! Thanks so much for the posting:) Jeff Toy
This worked perfectly. We'd been away for several months and the system had lost the prime. It started immediately when connected to a bicycle pump with the nozzle attachment.
Worked perfectly. Still would not work with the switch, so I then knew the switch was broken and replaced it with one from Amazon that cost £4. I was going to call a plumber until I saw this, thanks very much.
This is all well and good if the air button is in the front/room side of the tub behind the access panel. My air button is on the wall side of the tub and has no access. The kitchen is behind the wall and cabinets are installed all along that wall.
I ended up cutting the tubing and primed it because the installer of the tub tiled over the access to the tube at the button. I had access to the tubing and cut it, primed it from there and reconnected. Thanks for this video!!! Totally helped!
What a useful tip! Had a problem shutting off the jacuzzi at our friend's apartement in Singapore (of all places!) Saved me $200 for the cost of a repair man. Thanks!!
Because the Bellow Switch had lost pressure it wouldn't push air enough by pressure. Mine stopped but worked after 5 tries! It could also be bust as it's rubber so look for a compatible Bellow Air Switch/Button.
after this technique is applied...the pump should stay primed for a week or so before it is needed again (if it is not being used regularly)...if it is used frequently, re priming the line shouldn't be required as often...
Thank you so my ch for saving me so much money. I bought my house and it came with a jacuzzi but I did not know why it was not working. I did a lot of research and even called a plumber and they told me to replace the pump. After I found you video guess what problem solve thank to you. God bless
@Hung Over It as been 2 months since you posted so the question is; did you get your tub running? Are the "Graphics Rings" even needed if one breaks during replacement? The graphics ring doesn't look like it is an air seal of any type but I'm wondering if the ring is needed to hold the switch in its place and keeping the switch from falling out of place? I was going to order new parts and repair my switch but I may buy the entire panel if the full unit isn't to expensive because it looks like I may break the face plate just by trying to pop it free from the tub
I just ordered a replacement air bellows for mine, if that does not work, I'll probably give this a try. Sadly, mine does not have an off and on switch on the wall, just the push button in the tub.
Thank you!!!! When you flipped that light switch thing at the beginning it made me think, "does mine have one of those?" And sure enough the reset switch was popped on the GFCI for the room and pushing that fixed it! Thank you so much it's been way too long since that has been working! 😃🎶
I tried this but we don't have an electrical switch! It didn't work but I swear mine is the switch still 😢 any advice from yall I would love. Mine literally worked just fine and then bam nothing 🤷♀️
Man, had my Jacuzzi installed with the house in 2003 and it hasn't worked in years....haven't called a repairman. Unfortunately, mine is tiled in the front but they did build an access panel on the outside/left of the house so I'm hoping I can get to it from inside there.
Will this work in reverse? Mine is stuck in the on position and the button does not work. Do I just need to get some air in the line and then I will be able to turn it off? Right now I have to turn it off at the breaker.
It shoukd turn on the same way…by air pump…or it should be on a timer i would imagine that will run out…if not i would kill the power and find a way to turn that off…

The air hose on mine fell off the push button. The button is on the backside of the tub, against the back wall. I've tried everything to snake the hose back around to the pump toward the front. Any ideas on how to reattach and run the air line from the back of the tub?
skkydreemer that button assembly is called a bellow/bellows...it is replaceable...that button can break down over time...i would replace it all the way friend!
@@MAKdailli I bought the replacement part and that is when I discovered the air line actually fell off the bellow. The issue is that it's against the back wall to the tub. I can't reroute the air line
@@skkydreemer Is your problem controlling the direction that the end of air line/hose goes once you reach as far back as you can before you hit the bottom of the tub or other obstacles? Can you run a coat hanger or a similar stiff wire that you can control down through the hole created by the removal of the old switch and tape the hose end to the end of the wire and pull the wire and hose end back up through the hole where you can connect the tubing to the hose barb on bottom of the switch?
@@philyamascunt7518 I managed to get this by buying a tool to reach under the tub and grab the hose. I spliced more hose. Now the air line goes from the bellow, under the tub to the front, along the front side and to the pump. There was no way I could run it behind the tub again.
David T you will have to take the plate apart...the part for the button is called “bellows” i believe...and its basically a rubber air pump...id replace the entire button assembly...

Our tub wasn’t working and thought for sure we had to call a plumber. I soooo thankful I found your video! Worked like magic! Thank you!!

Jeff Toy no problem friend! Glad this helped you out...
Mine has a humming sound but nothing is coming out I’ll hv to try this
THIS VIDEO was the one that helped me repair my malfunctioning tub button. Thank you!!!
This worked perfectly. We'd been away for several months and the system had lost the prime. It started immediately when connected to a bicycle pump with the nozzle attachment.
Thanks that worked for me, I felt like a pro when I did this and worked... but now I cant turn this off unless I shut the breaker off

You've made my useless tub a joy to have again. My muscles and I thank you!
Thanks! Helped me fix my air hose. It apparently got some water in the line, so I cleared it out. These tub models sure have problems. Thanks

Angela how did you reconnect after cutting? Did you tape the hose back together?

How did you turn it off? I did what Mak suggested and that started my jacuzzi but now I cant turn it off
Thanks for Sharing. Had no idea that these were Air Lines, no need to call an electrician..... easy fix....
Started right up! Thank you so much!
Thanks. I used a 10mL oral syringe and some aquarium airline tubeing to fix the button! Woo!

You are the man, i just blew into the line and the motor started up like a champ.
Lol that's what i was thinking. Why get a foot pump when you could just blow into it 😂
So, anytime you want a nice relaxing night you just give your whirlpool a good blowin?

It's not losing prime, there is an air leak in the black bellows part, under the white button.

Fixed my issue as well
My cover is solid wood with no access door, have you ever encountered this issue.
Looks like I'll be doing some demo
Homeowner here,Merry Christmas
I found the access panel to mine hidden inside an under-sink cabinet. I didn’t think to check there for weeks!
Thanks for the video. I bought a house and the exterior shell has many holes and cracks. Where can I find a new one? Have been searching everywhere!
Recommend, pushing air to the button if it doesn’t depress on its own. Then just flip the breaker and reset the gfci
I have been trying to get mine working for like two weeks now, I'm trying this right now hahaha
I drilled a hole for the hose in the wood access panel and use a desoldering squeeze bulb to turn the jets on and off.

OMG, when the plumbers installed the tub they tiled over where the tubing is and just left a trap door for the plug.
just pop the button out of the panel and pump air into the tube
