Will never forget it actually talked to waltDisnay on first day ,didn't realize how special to go befor it was oprn to.the.public,will never forget it special time,to be invited with family friends,😊
I would have loved to have been there but I wasn't even born, I wasn't even a contemporary of Walt DISNEY because when I was born he was no longer alive. The man, the legend, THE MYTH. HOW GREAT THIS MAN NAMED WAS WALT DISNEY!!!
My Dad claims he was there. His sister was dating a photographer for the LA Times and he says he got in with them. Then again, my dad's an idiot so he might believe that happened but it never did 😂

Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts that have created America. With the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.
I see one thing that would likely get redacted, that Aunt Jemima jig. Where's the Silver Banjo Barbeque steakhouse that's owned by Don DeFore? I would like to try it out.
It certainly does sharpen up black and white. What was the original source? This was at least released on DVD as part of the 50th anniversary box set (or something in those tin boxes). I don’t recall if it ever got a BluRay release.
This is from the DVD box set that was in the silver box you are thinking of. I don't recall a BluRay either. I tried taking it to 4k but it looked way too artificial.
@@EDGeProjects Yes! Here is the only thing I can find personally, but it's not of opening day. The opening day of Disneyland is one Walt Disney introduced the mouseketeers. They didn't have their TV debut until October of that year. But they were seen in the park before then. By the time the show came out and obviously became so popular , they would do the whole week doing the show and their weekends at Disneyland. ua-cam.com/video/ge3QXyxwsGk/v-deo.htmlsi=JzWpd1tyLfoJAoK1

Was so lucky to get invited on opening day, because of family friend had invited me to go with them incredibly 📝 memory s

Such amazing words!
Looks like a bible verse
When Disney read the dedication of Tomorrowland: “with the hope of a peaceful unified world”. When you look at the world now, so much for that.
Very true

Silver banjo didn't open until 1957. Some day it opened in June while others suggest August. No matter though because it sounds like it was amazing!

@@EDGeProjects You mean Walt Disney Treasures: Disneyland USA.
Thanks for not AI colorizing it!
Oh my gosh! Yeah that thought never crossed my mind!!! I like to see really old film sometimes colorized but this, never!
58:30 Open the fantasyland castle! In the name of the children of the world.
The Prince's voice was done by an uncredited Thurl Ravenscroft!
I really wish this included the commercials. I KNOW it exists out there somewhere.
Gosh I haven't seen that in over 20 years but I know what you're talking about
It's a shame that it always cuts off before the mouseketeers come out of the theater....
I don't remember that. Was Annette Funicello amongst them?

1:02:25 Imagine having cast members "on" the ride platform today… heh.
Oh my! I've never noticed that in all the times I've watched this! That's crazy! Gotta love pre-OSHA America!

haha yeah...fences certainly help keep Darwinism in check.
Happy 69th birthday Disneyland
Big 7-oh next year!
Was AI used to upscale this? I can’t wait to see AI upscales of so many classics
I used a couple of apps to upscale. Topaz video and the other two apps which I will try to post when I can find the names of them
