JRRC Willy's Jeep capstan bumper modification with 3D files for you!
1941 Willy's jeep would have a capstan, not drum winch. So, I created this bumper to convert the OEM drum to capstan. Is it unusable? Mostly. Is it practical? No. Does it look better to the period? Yes.
To download the files for your personal (no commercial allowed) go to my Printables page and find them here www.printables.com/model/1143183-jrcc-1941-willys-jeep-capstan-winch-bumper-mod-mod

Shelby F150 saving a big moving truck

Early November, we received about 24" of snow. Our neighbor was moving out and surprisingly the moving trucks showed up! They weren't prepared for the amount of snow and got stuck. Using some value friendly kinetic ropes and the techniques I learned watching Matt's Offroad Recovery UA-cam channel, we were able to get the truck unstuck with my Shelby F150. HBO feature presentation model opening shot from the early 1980's in 4k 60FPS

As a kid, I remember this video was almost more exciting than the movie itself in the early 1980's. It was a scale built model that took over 4 months to build and was pretty amazing for the time. I got a copy of the original and did my best to clean it up and upscale it to 4k and 60 FPS to relive that magic a little. Enjoy!

    This was completely straightforward and simple. Cut at the cut mark, slot the cut end into the connector, cut at the cut mark on the extension piece, and feed that into the connector. Bingo.

    • @EDGeProjects
      @EDGeProjects 5 днів тому

      Haha welcome to the party. My channel isn't over 1000 subs so I dont think it's popped a lot of searches. My experience with swapping PSU's on Dells with non-OEM is really old, but back in the day you had to use a Dell PSU. Third party connector pin outs didnt fit. I'd be surprised if Dell stuck to that model of proprietary PSU's. At work, if a Dell PSU fails, I'll get an OEM under warranty or put that machine in the parts pile if its out of warranty. Let me know if this works on your Optiplex though. I know on the latitudes and the Optiplex micros which use external DC PSU's, they are fine with third party, so that's why I'd guess that Dell fell in line with standard configs. As for recommending the PSU, yeah it seemed to work just fine. Optiplex's dont draw a lot of power and this seems to be pretty solid. I use it nowadays for an external supply on my test bench to experiment with.

      Walt visited main street of Fort Collins CO and used some of the design elements to provide the character of Main Street as well. To think of the parallel and a street from 1969 kind of feels a bit disturbing to me!

      right? 😂 I was born in 71, but tbh I’m all for an amusement park area which beckons back to flower power, Woodstock, and miniskirts. So much of Walt’s work was an homage to the nostalgia of his youth. WDW’s The Carousel Of Progress is still my favorite attraction for that reason. As Walt envisioned the opening scene begins in 1901, the same year he was born. It’s the way the world was as he would have remembered in his youth, replete with the decor and technology of the day.

    I'll never buy this junk setup again. I have never in my life Had such a problem with strip lighting. I get the kit and an extension kit. They are good for putting in one straight line and that's about it. They don't make connectors readily available. Then you order them, they don't fit right. There are several different versions of the hue. For such an expensive system, they REALLY dropped the ball. They should have this light strip system with all the corners and connectors right there for sale with the setup. I genuinely don't know how anyone can customize this system unless you plan on doing some handy Andy crap

    • @EDGeProjects
      @EDGeProjects 3 місяці тому

      The corners really disappoint me too. Plus, why do the connecters have to be so long? It leaves big gaps unlit.

    • @joshmartin7558
      @joshmartin7558 3 місяці тому

      @EDGeProjects I didn't mean to rant on your video. My apologies. I talked our family member/customer into using the Hue light strip instead of her old plug in lights thinking it would add a nice touch in the end. We ordered the kit, and I ordered a 6 ft extension cable that I hid in the wall to jump the gap where the sink is, as well as what I though were the couplings/links. I open the box and start laying everything out and nothing is working out. The link pieces are solder on. You can't even get the couplers that slide inside the strip for a week or two. Couldn't find corners. It was and still is a complete and total nightmare. Then I started thinking, what a total missed opportunity for them. They could have a really quality product that is very user friendly, along with all the little accessories, and charge top dollar because of how good the quality and ease of use is. There is probably a huge chunk of people that are very unhappy with this product. Not everyone wants just a straight strip of lights!

    I’m having an issue with K1 max, that my machine is showing filament is broken when it is actually loaded okay and printing fine. So it gives me errors when trying to start a new print, saying it has detected filament is broken, when it is not. i have checked the continuity of cable, and voltage output from motherboard pins, all ok. Thinking the sensor must be faulty. Can’t seem to find much on this fault. Weirdly though my Filament detector sensor has never had a blue light showing, at any point since delivery.

      Hi! I found it on Printables at www.printables.com/model/23072-aliens-head . It comes already split into multiple pieces. To be honest, it's pretty flimsy, but it has great detail. Early in my 3D journey I tried to merge the stl's into a single one and make it manifold, but lacked the experience to do it in Blender. Now, I'm still a novice but less so and I lack the patience to do it. However, it is possible to print the stl's, glue them and then fill the gaps, break out the sand paper and primer to have a good looking xeno head.
