I am a 100% believer in the squidtrex line. I am completely out of them as they quickly get bitten and stolen by angry fish and sharks. But boy do they catch fish. I have hooked as many fish with the squidtrex hanging off a rod in a rod holder. Nothing was needed but the movement from waves and the boat rolling. Huge fan. Ordering these big boys for deep dropping and trolling right now!!!
My favourite lure by far! Had one (smallest one) sitting in my boat for about 2 months. I decided to throw it on yesterday for a jig, it cleaned up. Small nannigai, heaps of grinner, a school mackerel and believe it or not I even caught a squid on it. Ended up moving spots and dropped it down on top of a wreck. My mate got smoked and I had stopped jigging and was talking to him for a seck when something big hit it and smoked me on the wreck too! I went straight to the tackle shop after work today and picked up another 2 of them so next time I have a spare on board. Will definitely be buying plenty more of them
Just ordered a Squidtrex 190 to try up here in Alaska. Very excited to see how it does! We’re heading out of Valdez for almost two weeks and I’ll be targeting lingcod, halibut, and yellow eye with it!
Wow, Squidtrex is a game changer for me. Just the other day, three of us fished in the Gulf of Mexico, off Sarasota Florida 50 miles out for Red Snapper, in short of the six keepers we were allowed, four were caught on Squidtrex-130. Also lost three, where the hook pulled. All in less than 45 minutes time. !!!
Absolutely intrigued by this lure and your channel! Do you have any reports on how the Squidtrex works in Norway (or other cold places) with Cod, Pollack, Coalfish and Halibut? 🎣🐟 Tight lines!
What size treble hook do you suggest and/or what size did you use in this video? Are you also running a leader or straight from the top shot to the lure?
the BKK hooks they come with are more than adequate to catch fish. We have added a utility eyelet on the belly for additional hooks for those who want to add another hook to suit their style of fishing or target species.
@@NomadTackle I had them in my tackle box in my truck during the summer months. Not too sure how hot. I didn’t not know that. I’ll look into getting an adequate tackle box and try these out again. One more try

Thanks for the support - They are super fishy!
@NomadTackle do you rig it with a wire leader maybe a multi strand?
Would love to see full length videos of you guys using your entire suite of lures. That video of the Squidtrex was beautiful,
Coming soon! Big things in the pipleline on that - stay tuned.

Thanks for the feedback Stephen, glad you love our lures as much as we do!

Exciting sizes right there. Can’t wait to drop one off the shelf.
Big dogs for the deep - let us know how you go. We had a trip recently with Bass grouper being caught in 200-250m on the 190
Yessssss from the OBX and this is gonna be killer for goldens and trying for swords thank y’all!
I've hooked two swordfish on your 320 streakers! Can't wait to send these down! I don't know anyone else who has jigged a swordfish.
Wow, that's amazing, where are you fishing?
I'm extremely lucky enough to fish in the northeast canyons of the United States. Hudson canyon to the Atlantis canyon, out of shinnecock NY!
How do you think these would do for Northeast Bottom Fishing - sandy areas such as the Nantucket shoals , essentially drifting along
Absolutely, anything that eats a squid bait will eat a Squidtrex!

Squidtrex are killing it on those species in USA/Canada, so would imagine would do well in Norway also
Nomad must be reading my mind
we try:)
@@NomadTackle I respect what Nomad is doing in this fishing industry. Thanks for your contribution.
Definitely getting the entire xl series for panfish in my area
Damn! What size fish are you trying to catch?
What size treble hook do you suggest and/or what size did you use in this video? Are you also running a leader or straight from the top shot to the lure?
4/0 treble. Yes we like to run a leader off our mainline for a bit of shock absorption and abrasion resistance
Simply the best
Thanks for the support - they are super fishy!
Would they work around 12-14knots trolling? Targeting for mostly kings
Probably a little bit fast for them. 8kn they would be fine.
A must try for halibut in Alaska. Please someone keep me updated if you used any of these lures on Halibut or pacific cod.
Check out this video from SoCal ua-cam.com/video/TGU_QndHRNQ/v-deo.htmlsi=mozb8-rcX6PiEdR1
Amazing lure! You should create an accessory to make it go deeper when slow trolling in 60 to 100ft of water, like a large rapala style lip or foil.
Cool idea!
Just pull a weight in front of
Definitely I will try this , do you know where I can by this in here? I live in Canary Island Spain
Spanish retailers are Distrimar S. L, Iberopesca.Es, Salitre Fishing Canarias
what size treble hook is that added?
4/0
Will this able to stand up for fish such barracuda when utilizing for trolling?
Its tough, made from stretchy TPE material but it is still plastic. If you're targeting Barracuda then a hardbody will stand up better.
Would love like a 6oz version for Muskies
You've got us there - everything but www.nomadtackle.com/collections/squidtrex-squid-vibe
Come you seal the cut with super glue?
Not recommended, it could react with the TPE material
what the difference between the 150 and 190 they both are the same size assuming weight difference and that is
You are correct - Length and weight
150 6"/4-3/4oz
190 7.5"/14oz
Check all the spces here

How about if you want to add a deep drop weight to go deeper?
The 220s can drop down to 1200ft. You could add more weight, but you may loose some of the lures swimming action
Love it
I made squids that swam really well and even undulated when snapped. These are close but I give mine the edge.
Thanks for the message - they sound great.
Do you sell them?
You can slow pitch this right?
Yes you can
They any good on the Spaniards?
When can we start ordering? 😅😅😅
Avaiulable for pre order at US Nomad stockists this week
@@NomadTackle how bout the int site? I'm from Singapore
Hey buddy, when will you start selling on the website?
Available on USA website for pre-sale now. Australia next couple of weeks.
@@NomadTackle Australia and International will next week ?
If possible could we get an indepth mini squidtrex revies
Retrieves? Thanks for the comment.
@@NomadTackle review my bad. I'd like to see how deep and just how it does catching fish
Why aren't you supplying it with the treble hook instead of the purchaser having to go get extra stuff to do that?

what size treble?
@@NomadTackle
Can you use “mend it” on the TPE material?
As far as we know Mend-It does not work on TPE materials. But would be best to ask those guys directly
Availability?
In stock this week in the US
That TPA doesn’t hold well with the heat. That plastic melts.
Plus I’ve purchased a few of these and none of them smell like squid!
How much heat? Note the TPE material can't be mixed with other plastics and shoul;d be stored in a TPE safe (Wormproof) tackle box.
@@NomadTackle I had them in my tackle box in my truck during the summer months. Not too sure how hot.
I didn’t not know that. I’ll look into getting an adequate tackle box and try these out again. One more try
Heat will destroy any plastic
Holy crap! Lmao!
BKK hooks rust too fast
Thanks for the feedback
When or where can we purchase this?
Will be instores this week in the US
