Our first game the ref told us that the helmet crossing the belt line isn't a rule and made the lineman move up. I couldn't find much on the internet but i know he was wrong. Is that rule in the NFHS rule book? I'm going to buy it and highlight it. We did win our game btw...the boys did great
@@jeremyzornes9342 it definitely is in there. It defines who’s in the line of scrimmage so they can’t remove it. The NFL just quoted the rule during the pats preseason game. It’s the same from the bottom to the top of football.
@coachb7373 yeah, I bought the rule book to highlight it because I need something concrete. But he told me the toes of the guard and tackle need to line up with the heel of the center. I tried to argue, but we had to adjust on the fly. I'll get it fixed for sure lol
@@jeremyzornes9342 I mean toes of the guard and tackle MAY get you legal but what really matters is when they go into a three point where is their Facemask. Cuz that’s specifically what the rule states. Nothing about toes or feet. Check facebook cuz I also posted the rule book excerpt there.
Bro. I found it. It said the SAME THING. FORMATIONs are a 2024 point of emphasis for refs. But that is a DIE HARD RULE. google the NFHS 2024 emphasis rules and it’s there. Ref don’t know wtf he’s doing. File a grievance
34 power, we’re doubling on a Nose and doubling the play side DT. Who picks up the blitzing backer coming through play side B gap? The pulling guard or the OT?
@@faulkedupmoto7588 it depends on where he is aligned. The pulling G I like to go to the MLB preferably. And the PS wing is blocking FBI so if he can get there he would. If he is blitzing immediately and doesn’t care about pass vs run the pulling guard would most likely get there first. Additionally if u can teach ur double teams to use a “post man/turn man” concept so that the person BEING doubled is driven back into the backers. It’s tough to blitz THRU traffic. @@coachb7373 thanks coach! We had our first game this past weekend and got the W running power, wedge, counter, and cutback. Blitzing backer gave us a few hiccups but ultimately we prevailed. Thanks for the awesome content!
@@faulkedupmoto7588 yessir. Don’t forget that Ray no play is a WEAPON against LBS trying to blitz and blowup ur play trying to time up ur motion. I get at least 3 defensive offside penalties per game cuz of my use of Ray No Play. It REALLY bothers defenders that think they can get a jump on the offense by timing up motion. Concentrate on getting ur offense to MOVE quickly. Short tosses to the sweet spot. No dilly dallying in the backfield. Ur toss play should hit quick. Our refs said the rbs have to be 1 yd behind the lineman or they can't go in motion. It doesn't look like your rbs are lined up 1 yd back. Do I need to check our rule book?
