I started searching just to find reasons the cleaner doesnt work well. I came across this video and bought the replacement parts right away. Took me 30 min to do all the steps but that's just because I was taking my time and stopping/rewinding video to make sure I was doing things correctly. Thanks for saving me well over $100 at the local pool store plus a week wait time. Two Thumbs up!
I have a Zodiac MX6 and need to replace the lower engine housing. At 7:05, you describe how to remove the top housing. I've followed all your instructions exactly, but try as I may, I can't get the unit to lift out. It seems solidly in place like it's attached with a screw. You made it look so simple in the video. What am I doing wrong?
My engine assembly gets fine dirt inside it and slows down. I take it apart in 5 minutes, rinse it out and it runs fine for a week or so. I live in a very windy area so we get alot of dust and small particles. How do I keep the dirt from getting inside the bearing that's inside the motor assembly? I can buy a new one but it's fine dirt and I don't think it will resolve this. Any advice please? I'm a pro at disassembly the M6. I also play music and you might want to put some foam sheets on your wall to lower the echoes when you're speaking. Excellent video!!!
Hello, unfortunately there isn't really anything that is going to prevent those particles from getting their way into those areas of the cleaner. You can always remove the parts and run them under fresh water from either your hose or sink to try and help loosen the debris but that would be the only advice we can provide. Appreciate the positive feedback. We hope this helps!
I need to replace just the top cover. How does that part come away from the piece inside? It comes separately, so I need to know how to separate it. That's the only thing you didn't show.
@@ePoolSupply I put more to the cleaner got some movement.Bought the BARRACUDA TRACKS and now it's racing around the pool.Dont go cheap folks. Thanks again!

There is a series of screws that need to be removed to break the cleaner down.

Hi there, please tune in at the 7:07 mark in the video for an explanation on how to remove the top cover.
I replaced everything . Still not working.I notice once I place it back the tubing moves around like it's getting resistance.Never moves at all.
Did you try starting at the pump and trouble shooting from there?
