Luke was the first bloke i ever witnessed doing a backie on a bmx. Probably like 2003 i reckon. I was blown away. 2 yrs later i learnt them myself. He was an absolute weapon and incredible to watch back in the day!
LUKE is the king of drift and WAS bmx back in the day! I’ve been following this guy for over 20 years in drift, he kills it, in lead, in chase, ANY CAR any TRACK, BEAST behind the wheel! Great interview! You selected the perfect guest to kick off your podcast. I like how you structured your questions and got a more thorough time line of Luke's life and put it into context of what times were like in those years - usually people breeze through that but in this way you could imagine how and why your guest became who is now, how he got there, his achievements, his core values and goals for the future. The parting words you prompted Luke to say to the audience was a rad idea and I hope you make that a tradition for your future guests too.

I remember fink coming to to the Sunbury park to ride. It was always something special seeing him do his stuff when most of us were nowhere near as good as him.

i can add to this, it was back in the 2000's there was a small tv show called drifters unleased..on the last day of Oran park Sydney being open, luke actually drifted the entire link and return road which was un heard of not only dangerous but you needed a hell of alot of skill to do so. back then he was throwing 360s in the middle of the track hes holding back how much this guy really is on another level luke.

Just gotta remember Luke was smashing pushies to drifters way back before MySpace and online media. I remember vaguely him doing drift series in a green 2 door mid 2000s and possibly may have it on video haha dubbed off tv 😂
I know Luke's real mum Andrea fink she passed last year I think, I also grew up with Luke's little brothers Aron Cousins and Kane Cousins in WA Esperance and the bro Kane still lives in Esperance, Luke should reconnect with his lost brothers from his real mother Andrew Fink

If anyone got the chance to see him at baypark in NZ in the 32 you will know what I'm talking about IYKYK.
