What great tour! The workmanship on that stone was amazing! Thanks for closing that door! You and Grave are so respectful! Do you ever feel like archaeologists? They are discovering all the time. Love to you both💕
I love your show Sue. I feel we're showing respect to all these people that have passed. I'm sure they would all be happy to be remembered many years later.
Wow what wonderful old crypts. And how sad that some seem ransacked and bones strewn about and trash 😢 Thanks so much Sue and GV for taking us with you. Stay safe, God bless you🙏🥰
Thank you, this has been wonderful. I would of never seen Ireland. My great great grandparents are there somewhere, my grandmother would know but she is no longer living. I'm very proud of my Irish roots!!!!
I stopped the video to take a still picture of that one tombstone. I can't wait to show my sisters! It was magnificent to see. My parents had life-long friends in Limerick that I met in the states and then met in Limerick in 1981. It is a magical area of Ireland as are you two! ♥️♥️♥️
This cemetery brought such a wealth of emotions to the surface; from the amazing mausoleums and crypts, to the beautiful stones with incredible carvings like we've never seen before. Thank you so much for sharing Limerick with us, and let us know when you've arrived home safely!
what an amazing tour Sue , i really loved all the cemeteries in Limerick you and GV has done , fascinating vaults and loved the peek inside , thankyou so much for mentioning my video xx you and GV are always so kind , its true those tall tombstones would be heavy , i think twice when near them now . the carvings on some of these tombstones are just amazing ive never seen anything like them before , thankyou for finding these x
Wow such a cool old graveyard or cemetery! Loved this video. Kinda eerie seeing all those bones but that’s what happens to rotted caskets over all those years. Thanks for all your hard work OT.
At the risk of sounding like a mama bear, "where were your welly boots Sue?". LOLOLOL.....I'm awestruck with this adventure, the 1815 crypt with disintegrated coffins and almost 208 year old remains, that magnificently carved headstone is holding up so well, all the other crypts and I spotted a few of my favourites....Celtic Crosses! My heart swelled when GV put that door panel back in place. You and he are the best graveyard/cemetery explorers on the internet. Thank you. Deb of Oz
Thanks so so much Deb, yes we have tried everytime something that's opened to close it, not sure it makes a difference at this stage but I find myself feeling it needs to be closed, I wanted to go n and take that rubbish out but crazy laws here I think we'd get in trouble, they sounded like they lived good holesome lives and were loved, which is so Beautiful to read. Thank Deb, I feel honoured by your comment 🙏
We made out like a Bandit this week Sue, lot's of Bone footage☠🦴☠🦴☠🦴. It's good of the town's🏙community becoming proactive and clean and fix up these old Cemetery's. They need to be rehabbed and brought back to their former glory and not forgotten. It in of it'self is like a history book without paper. Maybe they can eventually raise those headstones🪦and reset them upright🔼 on a concrete base so they can't tip over again. 🍀🍀🍀☘☘☘ Amazing to see that tree growing out the side of that wall, just like what you'd see down in South America with those old forgotten Mayan Temples. Thank you Sue, that was a great location.
Just got around to seeing this video, @SerenitySue! Amazing mausoleums! My third great-grandfather was born on those ship coming from Ireland in the 1800's, I'm sure I have relatives over there but I wouldn't know where start. So, watching to see if I see a family name! Thank you for all you do, to make this possible! 💚💚 Hope you had a great and happy Saint Patrick's Day! Until next time,
Been watching your Chanel all time very good sad to see open caskets and just whaunted to say high hello to you both do grate job enjoying your video s
What an interesting cemetery! I hope they remove the trash from the crypts as they clean up the cemetery. As for the messy crypt, it looks like that may have been blue plastic that someone placed over the door and it later was blown inside. The Hanley stone is a true treasure! Beautiful work!
Great walking tour Sue and GV, thank you very much. This cemetery is very interesting. Thank you very much for closing that door on the mausoleum. Do you think, any of that garbage 🗑 was tossed in deliberately? I hope someone is trying to clean up the cemetery, gradually.
@Serenity Sue Thank you very much for getting back to me. One of the lessons in life I learned from my parents, is that what goes around, comes around. Perhaps one day, someone will dump trash 🗑 on their graves, or worse! Thank you again Sue, perhaps with your next video, you and GV can manage to keep a little bit drier.
Thanks for working on this project it's been full of wonderful information watching the ending of this one and waiting for the next one Thanks again for sharing fantastic videos please stay safe Godspeed.
What a beautiful graveyard ❤ When you were at the grave of the young girl who passed away of scarlet fever your phone had electrical interference meaning she was trying to communicate with you. I’m sensing the spirits are happy here and at peace Thank you both for these wonderful videos ❤
That's a nice little grave yard. Looks like it has some unusual levels though for a small grave yard. I think that building was at some time a small chapel or similar, the ground around the area of it looks like it's been raised 4 maybe 5 feet or more in places. But you can tell that the support pillar at the side is buried & a support pillar that big would have supported a higher wall . So possibly you could have walked into all the crypts & buildings at ground level at some time & the rest of that building is what has raised the ground levels up. Some really nice head stones there too . 👍👍
Your video makes me want to go back to the Emerald Isle. I was only passing thought last time. I would like to see my ancestral homeland again when the wife and I can take our time. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice Sue 👍 sorry I had to kick out early, I came back then my device kicked out 🤣 I just can’t win sometimes 😂 It was a excellent one by the way 👍🇮🇪
Really superb video. Have a chance to view old abandoned crypts mausoleums especially the carvings of head stone, it's look like an egyptian 2 dimentional pyramid carvings..more thrill to view skulls and bones are still there inside..thank you for your amazing video..
I believe that the circular items around the crucifixion represent the pieces of silver that Christ was betrayed for, and the uniformed figures on either side represent the Roman guards, particularly the one with the spear. With that ornately adorned a headstone, they must have been a person of some standing in the church or society! Beautiful marker though, thank you for your efforts to shed light on these long forgotten souls.
Thanks yes the coins are the silver, we've seen several early 1700s stones with the whole crucifixion story on them, always amazes me the details they put into the stone
The barrel shaped vault resembles a old WWII Army barracks made with corrugated metal. They were hot in summer, cold in winter, noisy in the rain and basically was like living inside a can.
Another amazing video from Sue aka the 'Gimbal lady'😄This vault might serve as a charnel house for collecting the skeletal remains?🤔I mean perhaps they were interred in a traditional manner in another crypt and once the remains were fully-decomposed, they were replaced inside this 'ossuary' vault? This is a common practice in continental Europe where the grave space is scarce
@@SerenitySueGraveyards No crypt on earth is safe from Sue's gimbal Shroud burials? I thought coffin burials became the norm by the late 17th century⚰🤔

Loads of remains to be seen in the crypt I think from where the coffins have rotted away and collapsed in on themselves which could cause the lead lining to split apart and cause the bones to fall out
Hi there guys hope you're well and in good form today those cattle you're referring to are called Highland cattle you'd see them in Scotland mostly very common in the wexford area 😉
