ICH DIEN is the Prince of Wales slogan "I Serve.". My guess is that your Prince of Wales pin is a tie tack because of the centered back post. The detail in the crown is uncommonly nice and may be rare to a collector. It seems there are some people who collect Prince of Wales pins, so I would take it to someone who deals in antique jewelry and collectables. Well done... AGAIN!
Brilliant videos as always! Amazing finds, well done! 25yrs of your best finds would be a great video to see😊 My 10 yr old son came with me detecting yesterday, he was my pin pointer😂 he doesnt really enjoy detecting but has always seen me watching your videos, we found a half penny and he said "we need to give it the bendy thumb treatment" 😅😅😅 I couldnt stop laughing😂
Congrats on 25 years, this coming Spring I'll celebrate 50 years of detecting. So glad I found your channel some day is want to come hunt your side of the pond
25 years! Congratulations, John! and what a fitting way to celebrate:) So grateful to be able to accompany you on your adventures. We'll raise a glass to you tonight!
Great video as always, I’m in Hagerstown Maryland, just tried out the Jethro program and pulled a Buffalo nickel, 1850 Large cent, 1840 half cent. Thank you for the program
I love watching your channel mate. I used to work in Blairgowrie - top floor of the Library. Beautiful part of the country. I commuted from Fife every day and saw all the seasons - and I traveled during work as well so was all over Perthshire. Brings back memories. Congrats on 25years John.
Congratulations on the silver treasure and the coins. For those of us who go through life zigzagging we are almost always discovering the treasures of life. Thank you John for sharing your 25th anniversary of metal detecting with us.
What a perfect way to celebrate 25yrs John with amazing finds and the George coin is lovely 😍 I recon it was a love token as its curved on both sides? Good for you to have company on your celebration dig too and Dura is so big now - gorgeous buddy!
Fab finds again! That field just keeps on giving!! Love the Prince of Wales item - maybe from a cuff link? I believe it says Ich Dein or something similar. My first (and only 😞) detector was a bright red thing that my grandad bought me when I was about 9 or 10 lol - 35 yrs ago! - He used to take me to the beach to detect, I only ever found ring pulls 😀
Congratulations John on your 25th anniversary of detecting and some great finds you had today. Always love your videos. You make them so informative and interesting.
All because you wanted to clean your boots, wishing you the Happiest Silver Anniversary❤️❤️❤️❤️, hope the your wife received a large bunch of flowers for being not a golf widow but a dectector widow😅.
Congratulations on 25 years of detecting! 🎉🎉🎉 I love your channel & your AWESOME content, John! I am not a dectorist but I enjoy watching videos of you and others. I am educated and entertained by each video. Also, I find your videos very relaxing and fun. Thank you for helping to keep me sane in these very interesting times. God bless you! 🙏❤️
John we are so happy you decided to start detecting 25 yrs ago . And even more thrilled you decided to start your UA-cam channel 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤ Just love hearing and watching. From Canada 🇨🇦 ❤❤🎉
The "thing" Marty found definitely had a long pin-back. The shape and chain at the end make me think of a blanket pin. As for the design? That's so unusual, and I haven't a clue. 😊 Congratulations to you both for the lovely silvers, bobbies, and that Prince of Wales lapel pin. Very nice day of treasures!
Thanks for another one, John! Congratulations on 25 years in the bank. We’re looking forward to seeing your collection this winter. Best wishes from RI.
Happy 25th anniversary! It's been a pleasure watching you and I'll be watching you for many more years to come. Thank you for the great content and a fantastic channel. Keep up the great work (ak well) lol
Congratulations on 25 years, John! I hope to be watching you detect for many, many more years to come. I love your videos and the history lessons! ❤ 🇨🇦
In Canada, we observe Remembrance Day on 11 November with ceremonies centred on "the 11th hour of the 11th day" to mark the end of hostilities. It used to be called Armistice Day but has expanded to remember all who have fallen in war. In the USofA, November 11th is Veterans Day and is also a federal holiday there.
Lexi and I love watching your videos John infact it was probably you who inspired Lexi to start detecting and now i have to learn to do videos because she decided she wanted her own channel so thanks i think!! keep up the good work and we hope to meet at some point in the future cheers
My first metal detector was a C Scope Mk 2 in the 1970s. It was constructed out of PVC piping with the electronics in the tubing! I found all sorts of things with that detector including a gold ring which I lost on the same day I found it. 😢
Congratulations on 25 years of metal detecting John and having a wife who's put up with your hobby for 25 years as well.

Yeah, weather permitting 😂sometimes the ground in winter will get so frosted up and hard it would take a pneumatic drill to get into it😆
The badge reads "ICH DIEN" meaning I SERVE. Nice find my friend.
Fine job on everything you find. Congratulations!

That's so unusual, and I haven't a clue. 😊 Congratulations to you both for the lovely silvers, bobbies, and that Prince of Wales lapel pin. Very nice day of treasures!
PS, the chain may have had another small pin, so the chain would drape between the pins.

Hi John, it looks like the Royal welsh regiment badge 🏴👍
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!
Congratulations on your 25th anniversary on metal detecting John.
Prince of Wales's feathers. The motto is "Ich Dien" (I serve). I found a brass one in France years ago.
