- A 16-page emergency motion filed by Julie Anne Stone Miller's attorneys attempted to block Gov. Jim Justice's administration from releasing information during a news conference Thursday on the death of her 14-year-old daughter.
Miller's attorneys allege Child Protective Services sent an investigator to South Central Regional Jail on Tuesday to interview Miller in preparation for the news conference. Miller was allegedly told by a correctional officer that the investigator was an attorney, her lawyers said.
The allegations brought a stern warning from the judge.
