11:56 So Paul, in one of Techno's previous Skyblock videos, he was attempting to trade some boots for a pair of leggings (I believe? Something along those lines), and Foogle trolled Techno by pretending to trade him the thing he wanted but then backing out at the last second. So that's what Foogle's past crime was 16:23 Funnily enough, Techno just told other UA-camrs/Twitch streamers that wanted to collab with him that he couldn't, as he was too busy farming potatoes. To the point where one streamer was convinced that Techno didn't like him and the potato thing was just an excuse
@@imvictorhugs it was dream, he had stated that after they had won mcc together. That techno declined a collaboration because he couldn’t stop farming. 3:43 well at the time of techno saying that, the video didn't have all those views. It only got really famous when the entire trilogy was completed because the craziness of the 3rd one made people go back and watch the others. Plus, a lot of reactors (like you lol) only started reacting to it after the trilogy finished, which gave it more exposure as well.
3:40 Remember, the Potato War 1 video was posted 2 years ago, maybe plus a couple months because I didn't check the actual date. When you create a sequel and especially a trilogy (hope to see Potato War 3 soon), people who already watched it before will rewatch, and a new audience reeled in by the sequels will head back to watch the original. There's also the fact that Technoblade was primarily a battler Minecraft player with Bedwars and Minecraft Monday's, so Skyblock content wasn't as popular on his channel and thus drew in far less people during the time it was uploaded. This might sound crazy, but I know a music creator who drew in hundreds of thousands of views for his Deltarune and Undertale fan lyric songs despite having deleted them years prior, and yet his current original content is lucky to break into the tens of thousands. This is a similar problem many Fortnite UA-camrs and especially streamers fall into: if they aren't playing Fortnite, most of their audience isn't going to care and thus not bother watching. So yeah, the Potato War video has a massive amount of views currently due to existing for 2 years, and Technoblade becoming extremely popular to a point where any of his content is consider worth watching regardless of what that content is.
And I shall add that the first video might have been good, but the appearance of the second one definitely boosted trafic, because in the second video, it actually becomes a "war" as in both participants are aware that they're "in a war" against each other.
To be fair, technoblade is a infamous big brain minecraft player, so his audience are also drawn to tactical brilliancy, like those utilized in this war. Also, Skyblock was the thing at that time period, and techno has multiple videos on skyblock already.
24:16 Fun Fact : This is actually how Techno became a Minecraft UA-camr. He started off as an English Major who ventured into Hypixel Skyblock. Then he realized and calculated that it would've been financially better for him to become a UA-camr than an English Professor. So he started trashing some noobs on Hypixel Sky/Bedwars, Beat Minecraft with a Steering Wheel, Massacred Entire Legions of MC Tubers in Keemstar's Minecraft Mondays and also in MC Ultimate where he became a plane with his 2 buds and made what's left of the entire server do a truce just to have a chance to beat the three of them, Beat Minecraft's 1# Most Popular Speedrunner in a Mrbeast Sponsored Arena Match, and finally became The 1# Potato King in Hypixel Skyblock.
It's kinda funny how, despite his list of achievements, he only got 10 million recently (just at the end of 2021). At the time of posting, so in 2019 he had like 1, 300,000-ish subs. I'm glad he finally got to 10 mil - all his hours doing crazy stuff paid off and more.
For your question around 23:10, Hypixel is the server name, and they average around 20,000 online users, usually peaking far higher. They’re big enough that they’re making their own video game
Personally I do think creating content is the most stable way of monetizing Minecraft, though I know servers generate a lot of income if they become popular. Though Mojang limits the means of monetization through their EULA so servers don’t become pay-to-win.
Recently they made PvE games have more monetization freedom which includes hypixel skyblock. PvP servers can still offer cosmetics, but buyable ranks that offer any advantages get shady real quick. The less non-cosmetics, the easier you get by without backlash, mojang still rarely bans servers for being p2w
Yeah, I feel like it’s reasonable to mention that Techno is actually a pretty chill, and really nice person, despite his exaggerated and competitive persona.
Technoblade dropped out of college to play Minecraft videos professionally prior to the potato war. He didn't do this on impulse, however and doesn't suggest others to follow his example. Techno was already making significant money from his channel and objectively determined that his UA-cam career was a safer, more lucrative option than completing an English degree. Furthermore, he found that he was suffering from constant deadline anxiety and hated the classes in his major, so UA-cam was better for his emotional well-being. A traditional path would be less enjoyable and less lucrative.
20:08 techno needs those goons on resource gathering. He's probably calculated that the benefits gained by sacrificing one goon to sabotage would be negligible at best, detrimental at worst
@@rngsmiles3979 well he could give it to them I think. I mean other pets have been given to others. Squid recieve his level 100 rabbit from someone else
@@Error_o7 I mean you may be right but the only item I know of that you can't sell in hipixel Skyblock is the farming crystal. And that's just selling. Idk can you give it to someone? I know of nothing not droppable
After watching the trilogy you should watch Squid Kid's "The Potato War is finally over", it really puts some of the stuff Technoblade says into perspective
watches a video about 2 young adults spend their time farming in a videogame to gather digital potatoes.. goes on a rant on Jeff bezos. never change Paul.. never change.
“And so, I took over my friends house in Minecraft since he killed my dog.” Paul: so what he just did is establish a casus belli, and this entire situation is roughly analogous to the annexation of Crimea. You see, what happened was… I love this channel
8:15 The thunderbolt is the electricity itself. Lightning is the light emitted by the thunderbolt. The thunder is the sound emitted by the thunderbolt. Out of the three, thunderbolt is 'the fastest' since it came first, so thunderbolt works here 👍
7:15 every single way i can think of -Selling skins, probably with a lot of details -Selling maps, buildings, or in general anything that has to do with mapmaking -Hosting a server and selling ranks, boosters, items (note that items can only be sold for Player vs Environment, modes with no PvP, otherwise the server would be breaking minecraft's EULA) -Access to maps(? 15:00 no, in hypixel skyblock there's a market, you can even look in hyauctions or some other website for information about prices, its price during the year, people manipulating the market, predictions in prices and even people making documents with event-related items, inflation, and if it's a good idea to invest or not 23:00 100k players at peak, 40k usually between over 50 modes (skyblock, survival, skywars, skyblock, zombies, etc...) Skyblock is the most popular at hypixel with a peak of 80k players at the same time
And if you step out just a little, the "facilitated through Minecraft" economy is huge: not only are there several MMO-style servers like Skyblock, but people making money building and selling modpacks, minigame maps, and plugins and tools like Litematica, and hosting competitions...but you've got content creators like Techno and Squidkid out there making money from monetized videos/streams but also via Patreon/access to private servers/merch/ads...and the scope of content in Minecraft is vast--the artists that showcase crazy beautiful builds, the building tutorials, the speedrunners, the LetsPlay-ers, the Minecraft,But-ers, the storytelling/roleplay groups like DreamSMP, the technical Minecraft wizards like Scicraft who design redstone farms and whatnot...and then there's the people that the largest of those creators employ: video editors, animators, musicians, stream mods, merch creation and distribution...and THEN you back out ANOTHER layer and there's a whole "fan-creator" community of content creators that make money from making and sharing animatics, fanart, fan music, react videos, lore speculation, compilation/clip channels, and their own Patreons/streams/etc... It's definitely not our grandparents' economy. It's nuts. But pretty cool.
18:00 speaking as a kid in college right now going for animation stuff, people would go nuts, I knew a dude who got a girl friend solely on the fact he has an anime podcast with 2000 youtube subs, having even minimal internet fame gets you popularity points for zoomers
31:00, I do want to say that Techno is generally like this, his persona is super competitive and aggressive, but he’s actually a really chill person and a good sport, there’s a big comedy aspect to the way he acts as well. It can be kind of hard to get a feel for those things unless you watch a lot of content from that person!
Minecraft servers can be run like most mobile games having an in game shop that you can spend real money to get things. Most servers have ranks that you cab buy with money and get all kinds of perks that free to play members don't have. Usually servers that are plagued with these types of features are not played but places like hypixel are so well ballanced for all players they can make stacks of money without being hated by the community. Of course having a servers for thousands of players is really expensive compared to a server you can run on basic hardware for 6 to 10 players so they need to make money so they can offer their minigames and other modes for people.
27:32 This strangely reminded me of how national security avoids using electronic devices for storage of information. Like, sure, you can redact information about your GDP on the Internet, but we got a stopwatch and a spreadsheet of trucks coming in and out of your factories, good luck with your fancy security protocols
11:59 in ealier episodes of skyblock Techno was looking to trade his Dragon boots (armour) for Dragon helmet and Foogle made fun of him by canceling trade request in last second (that was his past crime)
Someone has probably explained this but as someone who was a high-ranking admin/moderator on many servers, good and bad, and then once ran a Minecraft server when I was younger myself, I feel I have some qualifications to talk about this. You could make money off of ranks which gives the players special perks, you can open up special pet features that they pay for, special abilities, maps/buildings, and much more. In fact, one server I helped with made its money renting the server to newer UA-camrs who needed a place to start roleplaying series because they didn't understand enough about coding and plugins to run their own server. Minecraft really is a robust industry to get into. When running my own server it was pretty much casual play so I mostly just had ranks with special perks because I just needed enough money to pay for the server every month. It basically paid for itself and I met many different types of people from all over the world due to it.
Don't worry about the "bullying". Squid Kid knew it was all in good fun, the Potato War got him a ton of new fans,, he already knew Techno's personality and how he's generally like (he's super fun and his dank humor is what draws a lot of people in, actually), and he and Technoblade are actually currently friends. Squid Kid even participates in Minecraft events that Technoblade is also part of. So there really were no bad feelings towards the whole thing. Squid Kid still talks about it to this day and laughs about how crazy and hilarious the whole thing was. During the war? Oh yes, very serious. This is WAR. But behind the scenes and afterwards? "Ah, remember those good ol' times when we were fighting it out over potatoes?"
20:00 With the amount of time it takes to get a skeleton horse, let alone 5 or 6 is alot. There's also a maximum pet level needed to spawn the horse pet, so each of his goons would have to put in hours to be able to do it, and it could have been fixed by the admins the next day, the potato minions can also fix the damage pretty quickly and if squid wanted to he could place blocks above the farm and it wouldnt work anymore
In reference to Foogle: When Technoblade was trying to get full superior dragon armor, he managed to obtain everything but the helmet after a rediculous amount of time. Foogle offered to trade him the helmet, but backed out right at the last second.
I think there's a misunderstanding of the "bullying" here. Being selectively challenged to a silly war in Minecraft by a legend is really a cool thing and 99% of players would have loved to have a chance to have their little obsessive hobbies brought into the spotlight for some fun. Techno was not being a jerk at all, and I think it's obvious that it was taken well since Squidkid immediately played along
One of the ways that talented people in Minecraft get real world money inside of Minecraft is actually selling their maps to people or even getting paid from big minecraft servers for them to build hubs, maps, etc.
The thing about the 17 million views, he didn’t have those when he published the video. It was around 50k if I remember right, and while that’s a lot, he’s right when he says it wasn’t enough for the effort.
If no one said about Foogle's crimes he basically traded technoblade when he was looking for young dragon armor or something and tones of people were trolling him by declining last second and he did the same (I think)
14:50 One thing to note is that NPCs will always buy items for a certain amount of coins, thus you can sell all your items to them if it gives more value than the actual player market, which as you can imagine does influence the prices on the actual player market
"How do you tell a date that you're a youtuber?" It's honestly very similar to a radio host. You provide content that people want to view, then you sell the advertisement space you get from those views. It's less prestigious than a radio host, who might be a town celebrity, but younger generations (people in their 20's nowadays) would have a similar reaction (if the date was in the same fandom as the youtuber's content, otherwise it's like dating a radio host from another city).
I'm sure that other people have addressed this but he dropped out. Technoblade is a legend in the Minecraft community, other well-known, skilled players get nervous going up against him. Also, he currently has 10.2M subscribers!! The third Potato War is where it comes to head if you feel like watching it by the way. ALSO, it would be interesting to get your take on Dream's Manhunts. There are a lot so maybe look up which ones are the best?
15:00 Yeah, you pretty much can sell them for one gold to an npc, npcs will raise prices and selling values relative to how much you sell, but they revert to the default after 40 minutes
Foogle's past crimes were sending a great trade deal to techno, and cancelling the trade last second. As such Techno partially forgave Foogle, since he actually went through with the deal.
12:23 Personally I think it tells me the characteristics of a person when they explain why they hate certain people. Personally I hate Jeff because he exploits his workers so mercilessly. I still use Amazon products because it's a good product and the only one I know. But I hate how his workers are literally forced to endure not just poor working environments, not just because they work well beyond their capacity for little pay, but also because of the humiliation they must endure to keep working there that borders on abuse imo
Yeah tbh I felt it was really weird that he goes to explain why he hates Jeff and I'm there thinking about all the legitimate reasons to hate this immortal man And he leads with "he has too much money"
@@lesvernorn3613 I agree. As for making money via minecraft, I've seen a few ways: 1. being a youtuber of course 2. Making a server, and selling things like VIP access on it 3. If you want to make a server unique, you'll need a lot of custom plugins and structures, which means you'll need to hire someone who knows how to code or just has artistic talent
21:38 I laughed at this part while eating with my family and I had to explain to my mother what was so funny, why I was using my phone while eating and what is a Kardashian.
Minecraft money making methods: selling accounts with rare usernames, hosting Minecraft servers with purchasesable ranks and perks, making UA-cam videos, and competing in tournaments.
When he said the views weren't enough justification for the energy put into the video it was because it didn't have 17 million views at the time, it only had less than 2 million.
It's actually against mojang's terms of service to really make a minecraft server pay to win, and if you make a server like that, you might get some hackers/bug abusers to come by and ruin your server.
Squidkid is fairly interesting, but I highly recommend sticking out Technoblade's storyline, it's really kind of fascinating. Check out EvanMCGaming's channel and watch 'The Legend Of' series, and you'll get a more indepth explanation of where Techno comes from and why he acts the way he does. (Short Version= He leans into being the Heel for views/subscribers. Sometimes he leans so hard into being a Heel that he wraps around and becomes a Face again. He's got a lot of charisma.)
if youre interested in Minecraft youtube, id highly suggest watching Minecraft championships! its a monthly championship that happens on one Saturday of every month that basically gathers all manner of Minecraft UA-camrs together to compete in constantly changing 4 person teams together to basically see whos the "best". for the longest time techno was just Permanently affixed to the top of the leaderboard, but after techno's cancer diagnosis hes taken a pretty long break from mcc and just general video making as well. its a really cool community-run event and it really helps introduce you outside of the general "bubble" you might develop while getting into minecraft youtube
You should see some of the wars on the dream smp, I recommend Evanmcgaming's recap series. The wars between countries escalate alot in it, so im curious what you're stance on it would be.
11:50 there was a previous video where technoblade was trying to get a specific piece of superior armor I believe, and he was trying to trade the piece he had (and didn't need) with a player named Foogle for the piece he did need. They entered the trade menu but Foogle cancelled the trade last second just to troll Techno then never actually made the trade. That was his past crimes
about the stock market...player provide them and players sell them. if not enough players sell them they can auction for less and still get alot of money, but when the trick to made money (technoblade shown in the 1st video) this trick made the output way more high for net possitive income. alot of peoples do it. it make number of stock got higher then the demand so if they keep the high price they will never sell it out anyway. so bidder just by default don't have to try to bid for this patch of potato and can bid for one with less high bidder.
I haven't really played skyblock myself but in most games that I have played with currencies and have in-game purchases (microtransactions) you could buy in-game currencies using real money. It is specially a huge thing for free-to-play games as that's where they could earn from it. Not everyone has the time on their hand to grind so microtransactions are a great alternative. By having high tier equipment, skills, and the likes available to be bought using in-game currency, players who could not or do not want to grind will buy in-game currency using real money for that. Not to mention that, with events, you can have limited edition equipment and skins. There could also have different currencies where the first is you could get through grindiing and the other is through microtransactions or as a reward for quests and such (like a reward for reaching a certain level or killing a certain amount of monsters). That's just player-game market, but if it's mass multiplayer like a lot of players within one server, then player-player market also plays a role. The items that you cannot just buy from npcs and are needed to be grinded (drop items), you could buy them from other players. Not to mention that even if you might get disappointed from the item that you bought, you could simply resell it. As such, there's relatively less risk for the player to buy them considering that , in my experience, you could earn more in-game currency by selling to players instead of selling to npcs. Player-player market, in my experience, is also affected by supply and demand. So if you play it right, you could even buy items that were more expensive for less or re/sell items more expensively. Thus, it sometimes gives a bit of sense of urgency where a certain item has a low price but might get high again later, you don't have enough in-game currency and might be too late if grinded but affordable through microtransactions. Mass multiplayer games also have subscriptions , VIP system and such where you would have a rank put on your name and get certain privileges. As far as I know skyblock is one of that although you could also get a rank by other means (there's a youtube rank for having certain subs if I'm not wrong). Looking forward to your reaction to the part 3! Part 2 is more of the calm before the storm. I am pretty sure you would like it and would have interesting inputs as well.
Potato war 3 is gonna blow your mind if techno hasn’t already. Lol I love how you been learning about techno through these videos these are the peak of how competitive he can be
Hot potato books r in such high demand that all the potatoes techno is producing will barely make the supply anywhere near it. Edit you can also sell them to npc’s for a consistent price (unless the admins change the price)
I will say, with squid. He's in college doing his thing, and does a lot on minecraft. If playing minecraft is the dudes way of handling stress and anxiety from school. Then it's probably helping him a lot. Dunno much about him past these videos tbh. But an initial thought
Squid has his own channel and perspective on it, too. He ended up invited to some big events because of this. I think they got on well together, in the end.
For your question as to how big the server is, it's averaging at around 50-55k players daily. It's the largest server on minecraft and the 2nd largest is their chinese hypixel server, the 3rd largest isn't even close.
Technoblade has earned $140k dollars in total from winning minecraft competitions ands tournaments aswell as raising 36k in charity for orphans from winning a 200 player minecraft combat tournament, in a 200 player game, his team killed over 116.... the previous record was 19 btw
Some of the ways someone could make irl money out of Minecraft are like, taking commisions to make good looking skins, Take commisions to build something for a server or yourself, make a mod for Minecraft and post it in curseforge (since I believe they pay mod creators with add revenue), Take commisions to make a resource pack which is something You can use to change how Minecraft looks and maybe others i don't know/forgot about
Just a quick note, the video has 17 million views now(Well, it's even more now), but it actually didn't do incredibly well when it first was released and was only doing ok by the time he released part 2. The series only picked up steam later on.
The ways I know of getting money from Minecraft related stuff is: modding, youtube, bedrock marketplace content (like skins, maps and Addons) another way is if ur someone who makes like data packs for Java then u sometimes get money from it, that’s basically all the ways I know
I played with a team of about 50 people who played on servers that feature a gamemode called "factions" which also has a lot of similarities to warfare, but in order to incentivize competitive teams playing on the server, they offer real money as rewards for top ranking spots. Over 2 or 3 years of competing to win maps with this team, I made some decent money from these maps and I think the biggest prize we won was $2500 for a 2 week map.

Hey, Paul! Have you ever played World of Warcraft? It has seen a bit of resurgence since Classic came out, and as a result there is a lot of quality content. Try watching Barny64's series on Classic WoW, especially the last 4 videos where they try to obtain a really rare mount. At the time of posting, so in 2019 he had like 1, 300,000-ish subs. I'm glad he finally got to 10 mil - all his hours doing crazy stuff paid off and more.

By terrifiying you mean traumatising, right? He was absolutly descending into madness there. He even had squids sleep circle memorised.

Why are you here, also I agree
why wouldnt he be here
The EULA isn't enforced strictly though, so while technically illigal, it's unlikely that you would be punished
Wait, have I seen you before
Recently they made PvE games have more monetization freedom which includes hypixel skyblock. PvP servers can still offer cosmetics, but buyable ranks that offer any advantages get shady real quick. The less non-cosmetics, the easier you get by without backlash, mojang still rarely bans servers for being p2w
I actually just watched through these a month or so ago. I feel like you're really gonna enjoy the 3rd one.

Btw technoblade and squid are good friends, they’re both about the same age even though techno sounds 30, it’s all fun and games
E
20:08 techno needs those goons on resource gathering. He's probably calculated that the benefits gained by sacrificing one goon to sabotage would be negligible at best, detrimental at worst
There was also a chance that the goons did not grind for the skelly horse pet during Halloween as well.
@@rngsmiles3979 well he could give it to them I think. I mean other pets have been given to others. Squid recieve his level 100 rabbit from someone else
I just thought he couldnt give the skeletom horse pet to his goons seeing as it was so special at first but idk

The thunderbolt is the electricity itself.
Lightning is the light emitted by the thunderbolt.
The thunder is the sound emitted by the thunderbolt.
Out of the three, thunderbolt is 'the fastest' since it came first, so thunderbolt works here 👍
7:15 every single way i can think of
-Selling skins, probably with a lot of details
-Selling maps, buildings, or in general anything that has to do with mapmaking
-Hosting a server and selling ranks, boosters, items (note that items can only be sold for Player vs Environment, modes with no PvP, otherwise the server would be breaking minecraft's EULA)
-Access to maps(?
15:00 no, in hypixel skyblock there's a market, you can even look in hyauctions or some other website for information about prices, its price during the year, people manipulating the market, predictions in prices and even people making documents with event-related items, inflation, and if it's a good idea to invest or not
23:00 100k players at peak, 40k usually between over 50 modes (skyblock, survival, skywars, skyblock, zombies, etc...) Skyblock is the most popular at hypixel with a peak of 80k players at the same time
don't forget the "black market" for in game items in anarchy servers
Creating clients or mods
PVP clients, hacked clients, clients for... skyblock!
Maybe even create cosmetics for those clients
18:00 speaking as a kid in college right now going for animation stuff, people would go nuts, I knew a dude who got a girl friend solely on the fact he has an anime podcast with 2000 youtube subs, having even minimal internet fame gets you popularity points for zoomers
Honestly if having minimal internet fame makes you feel good about yourself go ahead and do it, just don’t get too caught up in yourself
When he said that the video wasn’t worth it you also need to remember the amount of time he invested into this war, weeks to months of time
Minecraft servers can be run like most mobile games having an in game shop that you can spend real money to get things.
The potato war is the greatest espionage conflict since the cold war.
The potatoes are used to make other items in the server and hence there is always a demand for potatoes
1:18 "he seems like a guy who's got commitment and focus". I mean I guess just wait until he sees part three I guess.
"How was 17M views not worth it?" Dude. Time has passed from when he uploaded this, and now.
29:58
skyblock isnt the only minecraft thing.
there is 100 day survival. manhunt. smp. and many more.
I always wanted to know this
Now it makes sense
Thanks man
I think there's a misunderstanding of the "bullying" here.
The worst part about getting what you want is that you can’t want it anymore
One of the ways that talented people in Minecraft get real world money inside of Minecraft is actually selling their maps to people or even getting paid from big minecraft servers for them to build hubs, maps, etc.
8:16 "Fall like a thunderbolt" sounds like attacking with so many people that the walking/running of the army sounds like the rumble of thunder.
The thing about the 17 million views, he didn’t have those when he published the video. It was around 50k if I remember right, and while that’s a lot, he’s right when he says it wasn’t enough for the effort.
I was going to say this. It has about 47 million views now. (as of June 2024)
If no one said about Foogle's crimes he basically traded technoblade when he was looking for young dragon armor or something and tones of people were trolling him by declining last second and he did the same (I think)
14:50
One thing to note is that NPCs will always buy items for a certain amount of coins, thus you can sell all your items to them if it gives more value than the actual player market, which as you can imagine does influence the prices on the actual player market
"How do you tell a date that you're a youtuber?" It's honestly very similar to a radio host. You provide content that people want to view, then you sell the advertisement space you get from those views. It's less prestigious than a radio host, who might be a town celebrity, but younger generations (people in their 20's nowadays) would have a similar reaction (if the date was in the same fandom as the youtuber's content, otherwise it's like dating a radio host from another city).
it doesnt really affect the market since potatoes have other uses so they dont just float around in the market.
"How do you hustle real world money out of Minecraft?"
... just keep watching Technoblade honestly, he's the master at it lmao
“Squid kid seams like a guy with commitment and focus” he farms an average of NINE hours of farming a day but technoblade averages 11
15:00 Yeah, you pretty much can sell them for one gold to an npc, npcs will raise prices and selling values relative to how much you sell, but they revert to the default after 40 minutes
Just throwing it out there as I’m sure many others have already, Techno’s actually a pretty great person and Squid and he became friends in the end.
Yeah tbh I felt it was really weird that he goes to explain why he hates Jeff and I'm there thinking about all the legitimate reasons to hate this immortal man
And he leads with "he has too much money"
@@lesvernorn3613 I agree. Unfortunately too many of a certain ideology group that expouses such a thought process have made my shit list for me to listen without a certain level of disdain for people who simply despise a person due to their wealth first and foremost. Communist, bread tubers, socialists, and those who claim to be for the worker while they complain about the workers for the choices we make in life and politics. But that's just me. Like I said, it is very telling of a person when they explain their hate honestly, for good or ill.
Also if you check the potato war videos squid should be pinned in the comments
In a video released by squid just recently techno told him to comment so he could divert traffic to squid’s channel
Also don’t expect anymore potato wars from techno as 2 years ago he unfortunately passed due to stage 3 (or so) cancer.
Techno has a super power. He can control his adhd towards his goals lol. He actually said that on a stream once lol
never in my life would i have thought i would watch an army combat, dude react to a war on potatoes in a block video game. But, if you do decide to watch and make a video on part 3 of the potato war, i think you'll enjoy it more than the last two as yes, Techno had been really toxic towards Squid but in the end, he has become more successful. Hope to see one more :D
As for making money via minecraft, I've seen a few ways:
1. being a youtuber of course
2. Making a server, and selling things like VIP access on it
3. If you want to make a server unique, you'll need a lot of custom plugins and structures, which means you'll need to hire someone who knows how to code or just has artistic talent
Rest in peace technoblade gone but not forgottern.

Fun fact: Somehow Technoblade managed to get squid kid's parents' phone numbers and also narrowed him down to 1 of 4 colleges
It's actually against mojang's terms of service to really make a minecraft server pay to win, and if you make a server like that, you might get some hackers/bug abusers to come by and ruin your server.
I'd love to see how you would react to Techno's other war-related content on Minecraft.
“Sounds a lot like bullying” CYBERBULLYING IS BASICALLY HIS JOB 😂
if youre interested in Minecraft youtube, id highly suggest watching Minecraft championships! its a monthly championship that happens on one Saturday of every month that basically gathers all manner of Minecraft UA-camrs together to compete in constantly changing 4 person teams together to basically see whos the "best". for the longest time techno was just Permanently affixed to the top of the leaderboard, but after techno's cancer diagnosis hes taken a pretty long break from mcc and just general video making as well. its a really cool community-run event and it really helps introduce you outside of the general "bubble" you might develop while getting into minecraft youtube

Oh you NEED to watch the 3rd one, this is where the most brilliant side of Techo comes out.
There is no bullying here, only potatoes.

No matter how you prepare a potato it is good. Baked. Good. Fried (hashed, frenched, or chipped). Good. Boiled. Good. Souped. Good. And many many more. Every form of potato is good af.
I’m not sure if this counts as hustling, but people can make mods or texture packs for Minecraft which can then be sold to players.
