    Now make it bigger, and make it store beers.U will have a "beer button" at your desk, when u press it, the machine takes a beer, drops it on a train, and delivers one awesome beer to u ;D

    As someone who has programmed a real AS-RS system I have to say this is very impressive. Great work.

    Very nice program and flawless design - I love it!
    It's also worth noticing that you managed to build this creation using just one EV3 brick which IMHO can be considered impressive. Subscribed immidiately.

      Krzysztof Matuszek Thanks! I appreciate your opinion. First assumption was to create this model using two ev3 brick's, however RobotC programming environment doesn't allow to do so.

    An interesting proof of concept you have there. You might want to work on the gear ratios if you want to upscale it though, that way it runs faster while maintaining suitable levels of torque.

    • @TechBricks
      @TechBricks  7 років тому +4

      Using gears always leads to having worst accuracy. I tried not to use any single gear while transfering torque from servo to particular actuator.

    I had a Lego Mindstorms set, this is exactly the sort of stuff I would make. It's completely useless but I'm sure this would have been so much fun to build (especially in C++ rather than that drag-and-drop nightmare).

    I will build this with my lego mindstorms, except I am using an NXT kit, so I will have to remove the input conveyer and make it grab trays from the output area because I only have 3 motors (one for left-right movement, one for up-down, and one to grab and release trays). You also get a subscribe. Awesome build.

    does it use the resistance the motors get when their blocked or jammed to know when to stop and start the next sequence?

    • @TechBricks
      @TechBricks  7 років тому

      zenol leytan motors have encoders so to know what is position of output axis. So you can set motor in particular speed and check how position is changing. If there is no change in motors encoder that means it's jammed.
