Beat me, I completely blanked fishing for chub yesterday, same tactics, small river. Nice fish!
Not fished a river/stream in about 3yrs. Back out for chub tomorrow though , can't wait.
That's an old John Wilson Avon quiver with a sliding reel seat....I've still got one but not used it for years....Good versatile rods....Excellent sessions and the dog seemed alright.....
I've still got a JW Avon Quiver, about 20yrs old, 1st quiver i ever bought. Same as you, i haven't used it in years but just got it out for tomorrow.
