This video is about the 5 major categories of dementia that I am always thinking about when someone comes to me with a concern about memory loss in themselves or a loved one.
I’m Dr. Marc, a board certified internist and geriatrician in Louisville, Kentucky. I’m asked so many questions about memory, dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease all the time by friends, co-workers, family and sometimes strangers when they find out what I do for a living. How dementia is diagnosed, treated, how it can be avoided or delayed, how to care for a loved one who has memory issues, what new technologies can help, and many more. Thanks for watching, for subscribing, and for caring about dementia and those who endure it every day.

I’m a certified dementia care practitioner, do you have any PowerPoints you’d like to share? A lot of clinicians in my area want more information on this syndrome. Ty!

How do you spell Louie Body?! Do physicians normally do a B12 blood test in a blood panel for older people?

Is there a type of dementia that causes a person to lose control of their emotional control making them constantly angry or upset for no reason?

What about the type of dementia where your brain and body deteriorate extremely rapidly I can’t remember the name of it but my friends boyfriend had this. He was in his early 60s. I was trying to figure out the name of that dementia.
