More Cape Cod! I grew up on Cape Cod, and owned my first house there. I left 20 years ago, but certainly the area has a unique place in my heart. I have been surprised to see the shark population around Cape Cod change during my lifetime, from rare to commonplace. So very interesting!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for sharing your personal connection to Cape Cod. I love the area too!
I know it's crazy! I'm so used to visiting the dunes in P-town and it was never considered sharkey. That was Cali or Montauk.... Such a change!
Great white sharks have exploded in numbers and size all around Australia as well. It’s because commercial fishing was stopped 25 years ago in Australia
I saw a video the other day on Orcas hunting whites, the marine biologist host tagged a heap of whites, as soon as Orcas showed up the sharks scattered, one diving super deep and buggered right off to a new location. Different Orcas are actively hunting them for their livers, possibly a reason they are showing up in areas they weren't common before.
You didn’t see them because commercial fishing was killing them…
As a person with severe scoliosis, I feel for and love this shark. Thank you for all the amazing videos you put out.
Ha! I was just about to say something similar, although mine is not as pronounced, as the curvature goes from side-to-side.
That shark has managed to get to a good age, despite the challenges faced, and I have to wonder if it endures any pain, or if its watery habitat cushions it against the pressures that
I, and many others with scoliosis have to cope with.
PS: More Cape Cod, thanks Carlos. Oh, and thanks to the AWSC for sharing their space with you.
The shark with scoliosis reminds me of a white shark in south Africa with a more extreme case and the researchers believe that she can't Hunt for herself but feeds off kills made by other sharks . An example of the social aspect to white sharks that we are still learning . Great vid keep up the good work
Yes, More Cape Cod please. The cultural differences in the animals and shark/ human interaction, along with the proximity to ongoing research is fascinating and adds another level of complexity to the, well, show. Thanks for all the good work.
More Cape Cod, please! I grew up in and around the Cape, and deeply love our ‘locals’. These were fabulous videos & I’d love to see more!
More Cape Cod! We live in Maine, and we never saw white sharks growing up, and we swam in the ocean a lot! But now that the kelp beds rebounded and seal populations have exploded, we are seeing the return of the apex predator, the Great White Shark…so exciting, a bit scary, but still exciting to see our healthy marine ecosystem. Looking forward to more great videos from you whether it’s from California or New England. Thank you for spotlighting our big white sharks.
Absolutely beautiful footage and what an amazing find! I have never seen a shark with scoliosis before either! Absolutely fascinating! Thank you for all you do!
Really nice Carlos, more cape cod, gracias
Stunning scenery......amazing to see so many White sharks in the area.......sadly living in the North of Scotland I'll likely never see one in the flesh......we do have a lot of Basking sharks in the summer though
Great whites have been seen in scotland just not scientifically proven check out these channels re great whites in UK waters ,
Sharkbytes
Airbourne pirates
Or do a generic search on you tube for great whites in UK waters you will find some great documentaries 👍
Basking sharks are sooo amazing ! That would be a bucket list item to see one
Its a "CUTE" little boat.... I would be begging for a much larger boat like Chief Brody !
This was great - more Cape Cod please!
More Cape Cod please! I lived there for a year back in 1992/1993, was on countless whale- watch- trips, loved it but I never saw a Great White. I still have that homey feeling whenever I watch videos showing the Cape and the beauty oh the ocean. Especially your drone footage is simply breathtaking. Thank you for showing it!
Incredible footage Carlos! They're so incredibly majestic.
People don't think about animals having the same congenital diseases that humans do.
Ohhh Yes!! More Cape Code please... Thanks for every second!
You got it!
Cape Cod is beautiful. These are the descendants of the movie stars from Jaws...or at least the story line. Any time I would go in the water in Cape Cod it was quick. Of course the water is really cold too. Thanks for this stunning footage and the story of the shark conservancy people.
More Cape Cod would be great! I love sharks SO much! I especially love it when you include the research aspect along with your amazing footage. Thanks for all you do for us!
❤ your films, never stop learning from them, great to find new things about these fascinating and enigmatic beings. It's so good to see that the sharks are doing so well there.
I'd be guaranteed sea sick as much as that boat bobs and weaves in mild conditions!
More Cape Cod, of course! We have noticed that some snakes develop arthritis in their spines as they get older, not all snakes but enough to recognize it in snakes. If that shark is older, like you seemed to think, it could also be arthritis or even cancer.
I think it's so cool you started this channel with your fantastic drone footage of sharks off Malibu and now you have researchers and scientist using your footage for their research. Very nice.
Yes please more Cape Cod. i live an hour away. i used to swim the national sea shore all the time. i wouldn't now, lol.
I remember 10yrs ago watching people swim the seashore and being scared for them. Haha
Surfers still go but the bay and ocean swimmers seemed to have found a new hobby. And for good reason
❤❤❤ sharks are part of what makes the oceans special. Please capture as much as you and yours are able 🙏♥️♥️♥️
More Cape Cod - Thanks !
More Cape Cod - greetings from CT!
More Cape Cod! I enjoy watching the folks w White Shark Conservancy. I like the comparison and contrasting you can do w/ East vs west coast whites.
Thank you. I appreciate the input.
I like finding people like yourself making their own content. Very big shark week fan, seeing a White with scoliosis blew me away. Awesome work, im now subscribed.
Thank you for subscribing and commenting Steve!
Would deffinetly love to see more Cape Cod videos, seeing conservation teams at work is really cool too. Your videos have a much more personal touch than main stream media documentaries do.
Great video! That opening aerial shot is spectacular! Beautiful framing. Thanks for sharing!
More Cape Cod please. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication
More Cape Cod please!!! You are my favorite videographer and I grew up visiting the Cape. Never thought the two would collide!!
If you can get to The Cape more I'd love to see more footage. I grew up there and now living in FL I really do miss it. Really nice to see you take time to visit and get some video in. Great job!
More Cape Cod, please. It is very interesting that an animal made with a cartilage frame can develop scoliosis like a vertebrate. Thank you so much for your beautiful filming! ❤
Like a vertebrate! What do you think connects the head to the pectoral and pelvic structures?
Well done, Mate. You’re work is probably the best in the world in my opinion.
More Cape Cod!!! Phenomenal work all of you!!!!!
Good job Carlos, getting the word out about boat/propeller damage!
More CAPE COD. Your content is outstanding, and it would be nice to balance the education of the differences in the sharks behaviours between the different coasts.
Thanks for the feedback. I will try to get out there again for sure!
Allow me to say how impressed and happy for you. I am that you turned the pandemic and a hobby into such incredible research of importance.! I love how you team up with the best and I wish you the very best future and a wonderful 2025!!🙏🏼
Welcome to the cape. I grew up going to the cape for the month as a kid I the early 80s and glad to see the GW back and all nature's animals. Do more pls.
More Cape Cod videos would be cool. Great video!
Hey Now! I like the sly Grateful Dead shout out. Awesome!!!! Makes me like you guys even more!!!
Really "Grateful" for the donation of "Dark Star". Well played, sir.
More cape cod please. Great work.
More Cape Cod videos ! I never seen a great white shark with a scoliosis that severe. I'm almost 70 and suffered from severe scoliosis My whole life. I can't imagine the pain that shark is in and still functioning. It is very painful to move so I am sure that shark is very special being able to survive and be that big with that condition is amazing. Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me.❤
I always look forward to your videos. Thank you so much for all your hard work.
So interesting! And yes, more Cape Cod Carlos!
More Cape Cod please love your work relaxes me
6.12. So cool seeing the spotter plane come into shot!
Thanks for pointing out the plane.
Jaws was filmed primarily on Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts I'm From Massachusetts Spent Many Day At Cape Cod Beaches Many many anglers prefer fishing for striped bass And mackerel And Cod
More cape cod❤from Australia
More cape cod please!
More Cape Cod please.
Excellent video! More Cape Cod (please)
Awesome footage, more cape cod!!!
MORE CAPE COD PLEASE!!! I grew up in Plymouth Massachusetts and the ocean was pretty much my backyard.. the best kinda childhood ❤
Beautiful area! Especially in the Fall.
Definitely more Cape Cod please! Or absolutely anywhere. I would love to see you travel to NZ and get some footage - half of NZ is a great white nursery!
More Cape! Coast Guard beach offers a nice buffet of seals.
Really cool seeing bass shadow the whites. I’ll remember that next time I’m on stripers with no seals in sight
More Cape Cod and everywhere!
More cape cod! Live your videos and so cool to see this footage on my local beaches.
Love the content. Reminds me of discovery in the early 90s when it was curiosity and science led
More Cape Cod! 😊
More Cape Cod, please!
How amazing that sharks can also get scoliosis! Thank you for sharing your wonderful videos with us, Carlos! Happy holidays to you and your loved ones! ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching. Happy Holidays to you!
More Cape Cod
Thank you for all the learning experiences you provide. Mo Cape Cod!
Fantastic video and here I learnt something new. Didn't know they could get that condition.
Of course I want to see more about Great Whites from Cape Cod.
Another Fantastic video Carlos!
Thanks very much. 🦈🤍🦈
More Cape Cod
More Cape cod please. ❤❤❤
Your videos are amazing! More Cape Cod please!
These videos are wicked cool! More Cape Cod!
It would be good to see More Cape Cod filming and research please.
More Cape Cod, please.
More Cape Cod! Hope you can include the Vineyard next time too!!
You gave me a great idea! I’ll be around CT, NY and MA in a few days, and I’d Love to visit this Shark Center you highlighted! Here in Brazil we don’t have great whites, but tiger and bull sharks are found frequently. Most accidents involving sharks here have these 2 species to account for.
MORE CAPE COD !!!
I adore this channel.
From Ireland 🇮🇪
Thank you so much! Happy Holidays!
More Cape Cod!
But really, it is all good wherever you go!
I love seeing tiger sharks in the tropics too!
I'll get tigers eventually. I was at Tiger Beach last month.
Great video, thanks for all the excellent content!
More Cape Code and the Canadian Atlantic coast, please
I lived on the Cape from around 2008 to 2013 working for an underwater robotics company. The Great Whites were only just returning to the Cape. It was a very interesting time. More Cape Cod would be great.
Awesome! I'll try to film more there for sure.
More Cape Cod, I love your videos.
Love AWSC and your work!
Great footage. Cape Cod is beautiful. I believe a hump curvature of spine is “Kyphosis .” A marine Vet MD could maybe confirm.
More Cape Cod please.
Stunning scenery and some great research on The Atlantic Carlos! I already knew Sharks could get scoliosis. Hard to believe right?!
More Cape Cod. Incredible video!
This is cool. More Cape Cod sharks.
More Cape Cod. This is very cool interaction and information.
Thank you! I'll try to visit more often.
More Cape Cod! I like to keep up with the East and Third Coasts white sharks since I live on the East coast and visit the gulf coast often.
Bravissimo! Superlative work!
More Cape, please! Another visit will allow you to watch a flick at the historic Wellfleet Drive-In (where I saw Jaws with my Pa and Brother in the summer of 1975). Go back and play upon the world's best glacial moraine once again (try swimming in a kettle pond).
Q'apla!
I was surprised watching the sharktivity app this summer how many where around sitcuate and even Boston harbor. A lot of big ones around Nova Scotia and New Brunswick too. They seemed to be resident there. Often going into this place Quoddy bay and eating seals.
More Cape Cod! Love it.
More Cape Cod, please! 🦈
Love your videos!
Wonderful footage!
More cape cod please! We also get basking sharks up here, which often get mistaken for great whites. I've been lucky enough to see one in person just outside the salem sound many years ago. Would love to see some on your channel if you're ever lucky enough to spot them!
Awesome video. Insane what a survivor, just thinking of having to swim all day with a spinal disease like that .
I had a huge fascination for sharks when I was a kid from watching Jaws. Sadly my life took a different path but now I'd give anything to be involved with shark research! 😢
We saw a 16-foot white shark off of Montauk about 8 years ago. it was the most incredible thing I've ever seen in my life. it just proves how small we really are. We were fishing on a lobster ball in a 1000 foot of water and it just popped up out of nowhere.i circle of us for 15 minutes I just went away
More Cape Cod! It's great to share the Conservancy research, increase understanding, and reduce fears of the shore. It would also be awesome to go out on a shark like this or whale watch boat (haven't done that one since I was a kid). Until then, we have your videos...
As a bi-coastal person (MA to CA and back again), I've spent much time in the Malibu area and on The Cape. So it's supercool to see this much anticipated video from you, esp. now that I'm more curious about marinelife, the ocean - and sharks - than ever.🌊🦈🛥️
You definitely have one of the best jobs!!❤❤
More.cape cod please
