Yes, I loved her. She gave the commencement address at my daughter's December 2005 UT/Austin graduation. It was the best graduation address I've ever heard. In addition to being totally proud of my daughter,I was beside myself getting to hear the great Ann Richards in person.
Then 3 years later, Bush sent America to a studip illegal war that killed millions! Oh and led it to a Recession....she was right to hate them! They were craven and depraved
She had the gift of gab..but her well left of center views knocked her out before she could ever stand up. She truly was no plus for Texas...lots of color..but little substance. None of it worked...

We loved Ann in Texas. She was a true Texan - spoke her mind, no BS, just straight talk - and that's what a great leader does. RIP great lady.
