The other way to look at the resolution of this monitor is that it is either left or right half of a 5K monitor. That is probably how they make the screen if you think about it.

Can you use it rotated on it's side? Seems like it would work great, almost like a classic 4:3 ratio CRT monitor, like the good old days.
omg you bought it :D ! for me this aspect radio is amazing !! I can't understand why still we can't buy any profesional oled amoled PC display... perfect contrast and perfect for calibration.
Does the KVM work for the macbook and the PC? I have a very similar setup with a 42" LG c3 with PC and a macbook pro and thinking about getting this for the exact same use case. I want to use the same mouse and keyboard for the mac and the PC so wondering if the KVM will work or I need to get something seperate. Thank you!
Would love to hear your experience using the C2 42” TV as a monitor. Have been on the fence due to the inconvenient quirks as it is not intended to be used as a monitor
There aren't any quirks associated with the fact that it is a TV, that only brings advantages, such as the remote control, much superior UI, built-in apps and so on. Using OLED as a monitor has some specifics. I will probably make a setup video early next year where I will talk about that.
@@TheHybridShooter Thanks for sharing. I read that you have to select the HDMI input every time you connect your laptop. I’m running a MacBook setup you see
Great review as always! Would love to try this aspect ratio in a monitor, but I don’t think I can go back to 60hz. But man, having a huge preview window above editing timeline would be fantastic.
I am a programmer and web designer, I've been using a 60Hz monitor like this one for long time, and believe me, it does not affect productivity whatsoever.
I got this monitor in April. I was very happy with the overal use etc. But yesterday i wanted to move it closer to me and something broke inside and i got a black screen. I called lg support and explained it and got an answer that shocked me. Its not covered by the warranty, and fixing the problem might cost more than buying a new one. I'm happy this happend because we were thinking on getting these monitors for our entire team @ the office. Dodged a bullet there :-).

Which brand/model are your calibrated monitors please?
This is one of the best reviews for a monitor I've ever seen. Simple, to-the-point, and comprehensive. Thank you!
I love dualup as my 2nd monitor with my 27 4k 16:9 main monitor. Viewing pdf file, code, word document, excel sheet, webpages and etc are unreal!
My worlds are colliding, you're literally reviewing everything I'm planning on buying from the X-H2S to this haha
Heheheh

Hey, Nice video. Curious question: When 2 laptops are connected would we be able to copy content from one Laptop to another Laptop ?
Where did you get the laptop dock? Been looking for one of those for ages look so smart!

Looks great
Did you use a dock to connect both monitors at the same time?
What resolution do you have this at? If I use the native one I feel the menu fonts look way too small.

No, unless you change the input, there is no need to select it every time.
@@TheHybridShooter That's great info. Thank you so much! Love all your videos
Did you come to Matera this year? 😀
No, I was there in 2021.
@@TheHybridShooter nice...next time text me :-D merry xmas
7:32 visible grid?
Not in reality ofc.
Oh my, I NEEED THIS!!!!
It's too big.
Ideal solution is 22-23", WQXGA 2560x1600, 100Hz monitor
I disagree.

Thank you! I’m not sure how you benefit from more than 60 Hz on a productivity-oriented monitor such as this one.
Just for me the smoothness of the mouse is really important. I know it shouldn’t matter as much as it does to me, but somehow it does.
@@RobbyHuang why does mouse movement even matter in productivity

More specific description would be necessary to make a relevant verdict on the issue. I am moving mine daily, and I have never had any issues.
