Facts behind PayPal which does not support SBP stance at all: (i)-Our banking system does not allow an overdraft facility. They demand for it. (ii) The laws related to Cybercrime are still missing and a central Credit history/scoring system is to be made available to Paypal, eBay, and Amazon. And the ability to charge a fraudulent seller and bring them to court. (iii) eBay, Amazon, and Paypal see Pakistan as a high-risk country. Well, Bangladesh and India are a high risk too. Still, the government managed to fulfill the demands of these organizations, and the Pakistan government's inability to go through this process has made it impossible to make these accounts in Pakistan.
For credit cards it's understandable that the payment network is provided by Visa or Master hut what about debit cards? #SBP has to provide it's own local payment network enabled debit cards. Many countries have such payment system that is free for merchants as well as consumers. It works the same way as online bank transfers. Banks should not charge merchants for incoming payments/transfers, that's what the bank is for. At most, the merchants has to pay once the cost of POS device.
Why not the cross border transactions allowed on pay pak? Many banks are still not offering ecommerce transactions on paypak cards. Many people are still unaware what RAAST exactly is! The process of registration, account linking and operation by the customers. Many banks don't offer QR services so customer still rely on traditional way of ibft i.e. ibft through mobile app and internet banking. Other than that the session is informative and the SBP personnel responded to every query confidently.
Am in the middle of the video, PayPak does not support international payments, and I can't use my PayPal card, forcibly given by my bank, don't allow me to transact more than 20k at any POS. The next comment follows in the end.
Last but not least, see how SBP has miserably failed to penalize the banks involved in the exchange rate manipulations. So our SBP lacks the will, capacity and commitment to serve in the interest of the country.

Why is Apple pay not available here. The banks aren’t ready to add the card to Apple Pay.

Why merchant fee in USD, why don't you bring in a local payment network. You do not need to go to Visa or Master network.
