question I have three items i have animated separately on the slide but it won't allow to fix the animations where it will play without having to click it all ? What can i do fix this?
You’re so creative, Miguel. I love Keynote, but learned some new fancy tricks here that I’d never have thought of! You are brilliant!! Many thanks from Australia!
Bravo GRUMO! This video tutorial on how to animate in Keynote is "excelente" for beginners and very entertaining. Thank you for making the learning process of this app both educational and fun!
Keynote has been setting on my computer for ages and I had no idea it was this powerful. I was looking for software like After Effect to make presentations (with some animation of course). This tutorial was useful. Thank you.
Awesome !! I never thought that animation would be that simple, and though a keynote user for almost 4 years, just now realized how powerful it is. Thanks for this awesome video and knowledge sharing.
😀 Your tutorial was very helpful for me. The description was excellent and the visual too. 👍🏾 Thank you for taking the time to explain and show the examples of these steps. Now I have to watch the other tutorial videos on the subject. 🖖🏼 I have version 13.1, and I don't believe it has changed much since.
Thank you so much Grumo Media! This video was so professional and easy to follow yet fun to watch at the same time! I never realised how powerful and simple keynote is to use for animation.
I knew about most of these tricks, but you added the creativity and the fun! Great video! I am now going to look for your Advanced Users Tutorial🤣 Thanks!
Thank you for this comprehensive tutorial. One question. Is it possible to have an object rotate continuously? It seems to be limited to 60seconds. Is there a hack?
Thanks. I don't think you can have it rotating continuously. For that, you would have to create a continuous loop by recording the animation and looping it on a video editing program like Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, Filmora, ScreenFlow, Camtasia, or similar.
This is a great tutorial! Thanks! If I wanted an image to ‘jump over’ another image E.g a cow in the background to jump over the moon in the foreground. How do I move the moon to the background after the cow has jumped over it and bring the cow to the foreground? Don’t know if that makes sense 😅
@@GRUMO Absolutely right about that. Very helpful video in general, although I was rooting for the banana and cookie to survive their relationship crisis, but I guess that's life:)
I love every moment of this clip 💕 many thanks I enjoyed playing with PPT a lot and I was really disappointed why I bought my first MacBook to find out that I need to pay for using PowerPoint but honestly now I just don't need it in a thing I can do whatever I imagine with Keynote thanks again, your clip is informative clear, and on the point 🤩
Hi, I am having an online training session for teachers in my country and I would like to ask you a permission to use this keynote slide presentation. I am going to teach them motion graphic made easy with keynote, and your keynote animation video is awesome! Is it okay if I use this for my ipad training? Thank you.
This was such a good video... very well done. Most videos I want to fast-forward through to find the small amount of useful information, but this one moved quickly and was packed with useful info. Thanks.
Hey man, your skills are unbelievable, I use keynotes to make pop ups for videos I edit on iMovie, do you have templates ready I can use or is there a website that I can download ready pop ups even if it requires subscription? I really need it as I struggle to make them look sleek and professional.
So is this okay for presentation? like one by one show slides? or for only video? I would like to try this for online presentation. But would it be possible?
Great I love the animation!!!! Although I do have a question, how do you add those images? Can you crop pictures the way you want them? Most pictures have a background, let's say I want a pineapple, that pineapple is in a picture with other details but I don't know if I can crop that pineapple out of that picture and put it on my keynote. I hope someone can help me out with this because I have to make an animation, but first I need to know how to crop something out of a picture and put it in my keynote presentation. Thank you and I love the animation!!!
Thanks! Select the image and then on the right menu there is a tab called Format that allows you to crop the image or apply instant alpha. The instant alpha option is what you use to make the background transparent. You click on instant alpha and the click and drag over the area of the image you want to make transparent.
Hello I have a question about magic move. I drew a custom shape with pen tool and apply magic move. I’m trying to make zoom in effect by resizing with magic move. First of all, I drew a shape with pen tool. When I move its location, magic move works fine but when I resize it, magic move is off and just dissolve. I have no problem with using magic move for keynote-default shapes, images and moving custom shapes(pen tool). But in terms of resizing custom shapes, it’s not working. Is it end of magic move capability? I don’t think so because magic move is working for just moving custom shape!🤔 Or did I do something wrong?
Yes. That is a limitation of custom shapes drawn with the pen tool. The only workaround would be to try to replicate the custom shape using a combinations of shapes. Interestingly enough, if you subtract a custom shape from a native shape, magic move works with the resulting custom shape. The easiest way to try this is create a circle and substract from it a custom shape to punch out an irregular shape hole inside it. Then, clone that shape on a second slide, modify it and apply magic move to see it morphing seamlessly.
@@GRUMO You are my hero! I used intersect to make my custom shape out of default circle and now I can move and resize it as well!! Thank you so much for saving my keynote haha😄

You cannot animate the layer order from back to front. You’d need to split that scene into two separate slides to change the layer order.
I love the sound effects!
