    Having seen it in person and now having seen the amount of work that went into AARP-65 ! I have no words amazing display of tooling knowledge and execution! The Junkyard Jedi is a true master craftsmen!!

    First of all, this is ingenious! The amount of work and engineering in this build blows me away. Secondly, why the Smugglers Room channel doesn’t have a million subscribers, leaves me befuddled.

    It's nice to see that after thwarting the Empire's undercover operations deep within the garden center of Walmart, that the Junkyard Jedi was able to retire to a life peace and relaxation!

    This an awesome speed build and a great addition to the fleet of droids.
    I hope the Junkyard Jedi is able to adjust back to tranquility of shady sabers after being thrust back into the excitement of saving the galaxy far far away.

    As a droid builder myself, him building that in 20 days is unbelievably mind blowing. He did such an amazing job on it too, just goes to show ya as long as there’s passion and will, you can do anything 👍.

    It's always amazing to watch the Junkyard Jedi work. I always learn something new, I loved that vintage hand router! And it was an absolute pleasure to me him, your mum and AARP-65. I wish I'd have gotten a picture with them too.

    WOW! I love all the old school techniques he used to build this beauty. Now that 3D printers have come along a lot of these techniques will be lost unfortunately. What a fantastic and fun build!

      You know, that was one of the biggest reasons I wanted him to build this and share it. When I see this I realize that we can have both new technology and old techniques working together. So we just need to keep mixing them you know?

    Brian…. These are the types of things my dad and I would have done if I hadn’t moved away to another state and gotten married…. You will forever remember these days and events with such fond memories…. I’m so envious and super happy for you! Great build!

    So when I saw this at Celebration I was impressed, but I had no idea how much work was put into this. I think part of me just assumed he’d have retrofit an existing droid, but to build it from scratch like that is just unreal. It makes me appreciate it even more.
    Junkyard Jedi is next level!

    I'm constantly amazed at people's creativity. Awesome build.
    Side note: I'm also constantly astounded at how many people are intimidated by simple geometry 🙄 I mean I am an actual physicist but still... 2πr and πr² are the two most basic equations in math. Come on people!

    Awesome craftsmanship as always. Being a machinist it makes me itch whenever I see plans glued to material like that, but I guess that's sometimes the best way. I just wish the plans on the builders forum had dimensions too. Haven't been there in a couple of years so I guess it's time to go explore and get some of those stl files. And a 3D printer, lol.

    I'll admit I got distracted by pie for some reason during part of this, but I liked it... my only criticism would be that it needed more clamps. So it's construction criticism, if not constructive criticism.
