Ryan is exactly correct on the duty time for the aircraft crew. If they can not make it to the intended destination within the time remaining on their duty day, they cannot begin the flight. It’s as simple as that. Now, they are already trading off pilots for instance. They would have one or two additional relief pilots so that they could trade off flying and crew rest time so that none of them would go overtime. On the modern long haul planes, they have actual beds tucked away in the roof or hold areas. They don’t have to try and catch a few winks in a recliner anymore.
Seen all the others posting their vids but this is the one I’ve been waiting for. The one and only Street Outlaw GOAT. Your team kicked ass in getting the car fixed. Really hope you get to kick some Aussie arse.
Ryan and Family, Team Wishing Ryan Martin Racing all the The Best for the next Stent of the Australia Show Go Team USA HAVE A GREAT DAY 👍 GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
Nice I was wondering if you guys were going to have videos on this trip I do understand the delay because you guys were busy trying to fix car just glad Ryan was okay and I know you guys worked your ass off to get that car now hope you guys get to enjoy the rest of trip
Damn I wish I coulda known y’all were stranded in la, It woulda been my pleasure to have had you guys stay in my air b&b. Oh well glad y’all made it there. Awesome video
Their inspection team looks something like a Nascar Template Pre-Racing Inspection. Other than that it's really, really awesome Possum Guys and Gals. 😊🤔🙏🇺🇸
About the GTO name thing in Australia, Jeff’s car is a Holden Monaro in Australia unless it’s a Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) brand then those were a HSV GTO. HSV took a range of Holden performance cars and took them a step further and made them high performance cars with changes to everything from wheels, suspension, body work, interiors, engines etc etc.
Seeing this video 9 days too late but something caught my attention,, the already loaded to the max with people ask the driver to stop at an auto parts store for rags, etc.... I'm wondering WHERE WILL THEY PUT the things they buy? LOL
I think the scrutineering guys took it real easy on you guys. If you had been locals, I bet they would have insisted on seeing a diaper fitted, and not have gotten away with simply having it (borrowing one). They are not stupid, they probably knew it was borrowed, and just let it slide.
Shawn learn to speak metric please you are confusing the heck out of us. There is no such thing as a 5 gallon drum in Australia any more. 5 US gallons is 18.93 litres, we only have 20 litre drums here. Then you were talking about 44 gallon drums, which in Australia was a spoonful under 200 litres, but we haven't sold anything in 44 gallon drums since the 90's. The 44 gallon drum got replaced by the 205 litre drum which is currently used. Then you mentioned 55 gallon drums which I have never heard of and suspect doesn't even exist. 55 US gallons is just over 208 litres, so you are probably talking about the 205 litre drum.
I assume they are shipping in the 55gal drums in from the states that he spoke about having at the next tracks. We kinda superstitious bout our fuel over here ;) 😉
@@JayBama what I gathered of the conversation is they are used to using a fuel called M1, which is extremely expensive here. From what I understood the cost here for M1 was $1850 AUD, where as regular methanol was about $200 a drum. I did here them say that there would be drums waiting but I didn't hear any mention of imported fuel (not that it wasn't said but I didn't hear it). That would make more sense, because while we don't have 55 gallon drums here that isn't to say that isn't a regular size in the US, especially since 55 US gallons equates to 208 litres and 54 gallons equates to 205 litres, so we may have the same sized drum but are calling it different names.
@@JayBama a bit more research indicates that the US 55 gallon drum is not the same size as the Australian 205 litre drum. The 55 gallon drum does actually hold 208 litres.
Best part of video was Ryan and little fireball on the moving walkway with luggage. Can't top that.
