Sometimes I'm butthurt after I go to this hole-in-the-wall rundown Mexican restaurant down the street from where I live. I keep seeing them put stickers on the door that have the alphabet every month and it's like they change it every month, this month they got it I think the letter f? That must be the letter of the month? I'm not real sure...

Yep. 77yr old dinosaur here. It’s amazing as hell how technology has changed the sport. There’s no way in hell I could learn all this stuff. With all the data that’s available it would seem to be information overload.

Back in the day I used to street drag from the light. Straight up daily driver. No nitrous. She was a sleeper. Not particularly pretty to look at - but she roared like a lion. Those winnings, & the $ I made hustling pool paid for my post secondary education. Good times!
Hemi is a great power plant for those pro chargers and blowers
@@markseaman4750 incorrect. Data makes it easier. The way you imagine it in YOUR mind is MS DOS like data, that old school stuff. NO. Ryan isnt from a data generation, even if he is younger than you. All of the data is relatively easy to understand once you get used to it.
@@terrymovold4364 but you did figure out your smartphone didn't ya. I've seen people in America are "scared" to play around with smartphones and figure them out. You lot want to learn how to use a smartphone the same way as if you were being taught something at your new job. You fear you might break or screw something up. Thats isnt the case. My father is 64 years old, so not a whole lot younger to you and he figured out smartphones instantly. And he's indian. India got tech way after you guys did.

Ryan you and Javi and the rest of your team have a complete plan each year and you test consistently and you compare data of every run at every track and it make you stand out above the rest.

All I can say is these guys are doing a great job of racing entertaining us and showing us how to work together and have fun doing it, I'm impressed on all the teams out there because racing is not cheap and it takes so much of your time doing it

I like that little cliff hanger you got there at the end of the video, a lot of people probably didn't even notice. The intake opening was a great place to hide them lol, and I definitely will be watching the next one to find out about the new rules that was stashed away in there.

… for future builds, consider implementing an additional feature that was used in the past by Porsche.
If you’re chassis builder fits a psi gauge to your chassis and weld’s all of your tubes in a manner that you can pressurize your cassis with compressed air, you’ll easily be able to identify and locate any type of failure by simply checking the gauge after each pass.
Hope the rules don’t change but I could see them adding weight to slow you down or just giving everyone else a rolling start 😂

At this point I think that the rules are leveling the playing field, and teams who are serious about wanting to win are ramping up their programs. The scariest thing that they could wake up to on Social Media is that you added a Car & Driver to your team. Imagine what you could do with a (single or twin) Turbo car and the Gray Pro-charged car sharing track data, and one being strong when the other wasn't. Taking points away from the competition, or wear them out pushing their cars to the ragged edge to keep up with your program. I love that you aren't whining about what the other teams are allowed, and you're just getting to work, making your program the best that it can be, no matter what the rules end up being.
But in the end,... You gotta be good to be lucky, and you gotta be lucky to be good.

Hey Ballground is near me so I could have hauled it to you if you're busy. I don't have to drive thru Atlanta and hate driving thru there for any reason. If in a rush I can pick it up and head your way an in hour and that will save you time on getting it. Just let me know when in need
What are they doing to do for the blower cars? They are the only ones that came close to or could beat you, which was rare but if Jim Howe stays consistent he can be a competitor but we all know your a team that knows how to run and stay consistent. Great video!

EMD (GM) 2 stroke locomotives use a turbo which is mechanically driven until there's enough exhaust for the boost to take over, fixes initial turbo lag

Since the Car's name is Fireball, I would do a wrap with colors like Jim Hall's car with maybe a little bit more Red added in. Or Bright Ass Fireball Orange !!! Whatever your car ends up looking like, I hope You guys win the whole thing again in 2023.

To mess with Shawn, wrap the Fireball in white with some cool red & black graphics. Phantom been trying to get Shawn to paint the Niva white since it is his favorite color.
I think the screw blower is gonna get the weight penalty this season. It may not have won the championship but it was becoming the combo to beat. Followed by the procharger then turbos bring up the rear. My guess.

What's funny, is everyone talks about the engine, as if it's the only thing that matters in winner on the track. The tune, the chassis, the trans/converters, the tires, etc. all matter in a winner combination, not to mention the driver behind the wheel.
