Not 1500 but ~500. The game is already out of stock. But it looks beautiful and hopefully there would be the second wave soon. ua-cam.com/video/M-wonIvwzJ8/v-deo.html
The rough look of the burn engravings is so fitting and charming, the cards look very nice, and the scale idea is great - the sound the tooth makes when pushed on it is almost the same as in-game, it must not have been intentional but it's perfect. I would personally prefer not to have to rely on computer much, but I see that it would mean doing so much more work yet - I see why you did it. But the idea of having little wood totems you can hold is just- i want that so hard. I have been wanting to craft my own inscryption table, but the prospect of having to create *all* of that - all the cards, all the objects... deterrs me out of it. So I really got curious when i saw this vid on my dash. Props to you and your dad for making it real, it's amazing!
@@dr.puzzler You've done great work already, not just crafting, but also testing and balancing encounters. Your game is already looking good and functional, so all the rest is accessory... But what amazing accessories they'd be. Someday!
I still need to finish the game from where your playing in the robot world this is very neat and I respect your love for the game and turning it into this work of art
This looks awesome! Makes me want to make my own even if it wouldn't turn out quite as nice. Your table/drawer looks so good with the burned engravings!
You could make this game kinda like Unlock! where there is also a required app to help the game keep its flow, but you could also use it for the "hard to make irl things.""
Unfortunately not. Most of the actual work on physically building the board was done by my dad (who is super awesome for helping me out on this). If I remember right though, the board is made with plywood. I wood burned the graphics on the top of the board, and we just used a wood finish for the final colour. Hope that helps out a little.
I don't think it would be at all easy to implement, but I recall discussing with a friend how some things might work in a real board game version, and the thought of dials on each card slot to represent "Current HP" solved the problem of having to change numbers on the fly. I'm curious how well you think that would work, having done extensive effort yourself to bring the game to life?
Ooohhh, that would be an interesting way to do it… the hardest part of that though I think is just remembering how cards have been modified through the campaign. The way I do that is by setting aside one of those paper numbers so we remember what card mods have been done.
@@dr.puzzlerwith regard to the cards that have been modified as the cmpaign moves, you could just put the cards in sleeves and add some paper denoting the changes
I think with the real version being sold they have heart pieces (they look sort of like the bone pieces but smaller) and place the hearts by each card and take them away as they take damage.
Now all that's missing is a false camera to trap people inside a card for eternity, slowly transforming them into non-human looking things on the cards themselves. :)
If we can get this video to 100 million likes, I will personally kidnap Markiplier, trap him in a cabin in the woods, and force him to play it with me.
if inscyption were to become a physical form, they would need to tweak the rules a bit for a competitive 1 vs 1 dueling game, make some deckbuilding guidelines, and release booster packs with cards. commons, uncommons, rares, and super rares. (super rare could be the games typical rares like mantis god, etc. with a chance of it getting added sigils) the uncommons and rares could be the standard cards with added tweaks to them (like an added sigil and/or buffed attack/health for the rare)
Should it be a competitive 1v1? The idea of inscryption was that there is a dungeon master. And if there would be a real dungeon master, he could just turn down op starts, or let it be as reward for hard setup.
@@dr.puzzler you know that's funny, I also did that on my mission, but yours looks a lot nicer, I hand-drew mine on 3x4 graph cards (sadly I cannot post pictures on here otherwise I'd show you)
i wonder... so what happens if you make cards with very small magnets inside or make the cards a magnet itself, but the numbers and sigils (spelt that wrong) are the only other magnets that can attach to the cards... if that makes any sense. also, yay, another damn project i thought of.
I got it twice. I had only one for a while, but as I started developing this more I realised that I would need at least 2 so I had more card duplicates to work with.
Regarding the 'cards taking damage' part - why all the fuss with the numbers? Just use damage counters, small stones would do. 1 stone = 1 damage. The same can go for stat boosts
[Warning Some RP-INgame Message] : After some time getting this cards you hear a knock-knock in your door then... you open door and you will die because inscryption is private company card game :)

Part 2 out now!

@someguy7344 there is a real one but it's like $500 so... no thanks. I get something being handmade costs more but yeesh.
And it costs like 1500 €

Terrific job on this project. This really is very impressive.

Worth it
