    Far too common problem for Suzuki. Same thing happened to my GSXR.
    Pro tip - Hard wire the rectifier connection when you change it. The factory connectors SUCK and are a major cause of the problems.

      @RicksElectrics 3 роки тому +1

      That is a good tip! We also make a Hot Shot connector kit with 350 series terminals (larger) vs. the 250 series standard terminals if you want to be able to replace easier and/or aren't comfortable with soldering.

    I had an 04 Daytona 955i and they are notorious for rectifier issues. Purchased an upgraded mosfet unit from Rick's and never had a problem. Until I blew up the engine that is haha! I'll definitely be purchasing one for the 02 Busa project I just picked up.

    OK going thru SAME thing now with R1. Came back from 120 mile ride, hot day @99 degrees. Bike was at 220 whole time. 2 miles LUCKILY from house same thing...sputtered, lights flashed, I was able to quickly get to side of road but all power dead. No gauge LEDs, no spark nothing. Pushed her home, charged battery....nothing, NEW battery from other bike...nada! So my question is would a failed stator or rectifer still cause no power even with a brand new battery hooked up?
    Even with a full stator ring of burnt coils I've been able to at least power up the LED cluster before on other bikes but not this time. Thanks for the help. Bike is 2006 R1 47k miles. Replaced stator/ Rectifier 1500 miles ago.

Give her throttle. Hesitant. Any suggestions. I found out part my problem. Bad battery my . It didn't break down. It was running so bad. I had to call my dad. To come get me o. The trailer. So a bad stator would cause no power at all? Or it cranks but no start? If we see spark plugs firing up that means stator and crankshaft is working?

      I run a P.12XL Full Spectrum Battery and even had my rectifier replaced twice under the Suzuki recall for my 08 Busa probably between 2012 & 2014 & its been fine ever since. I even replaced my stator cover with an aftermarket Woodcraft cover. My stator looks very similar to the one shown in this video. Ironically I've had no charging or cranking problems before the recall and none after rectifier was replaced by the dealership. I'm guessing I either caught a potential problem before one arrived and avoided one after the replacement. I'm definitely gonna look into the aftermarket rectifier from this supplier especially based on the slim profile design and what it provides. However I'm surprised to know that the 2014 model isn't supported by Suzuki..🤔
