Same here, the drifting is so effortless. If you have time, check SEGA Rally Revo, it's pretty good. Thanks for checking out the video, there's lots more up if interested. Have a great rest of your day.
I agree. I felt like the way the grip is lost is much more realistic. There is a certain feedback/predictability to it. I know everyone worships the Dirt series but I cannot stand it as the physics just feel off to me. It may be mathematically correct but it simply doesn't give you that proper sense of speed and grip like RSC2 did. And if people say I don't know what I'm talking about, I have driven actual rally cars on all kinds of surfaces so I actually do. To each their own though...
This was a great review. I loved this game as a kid. Its definatly and underrated game that sort of ended up being forgotten. I'll ask many co-workers and friends alike and many have never heard of it. But just the graphics, the gameplay, the engine sounds, it was doing a lot for a game in 2003. Definatly some of the best graphics of the time in a racing game during that time period next to Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec.
Nice video mate. I just picked up this game, and although I heard only good things about it I was expecting to be disappointed with the graphics, given its age. Boy was I mistaken. This game is still is a looker. Incredible! And the gameplay....sooooo addictive. Thanks for the effort in making this video.
Thanks brother! Rally Sport Challenge 2 is still one of the best racers I have played. The graphics are great and the control is even better. I'm glad you liked the video! Please check out some others whenever you get a chance. ENJOY!!!
One of my fondess memories of this game on xbox live was when i got in the lead during a downhill race by taking a shortcut by luckily flipping my car off a cliff on a long hair pin turn and landing correctly on all four wheels, the drop was like about 30 ft, my car was damaged and the handling was suffering but I got first place as a result, the guy I stole the position from saw my car flipping down right in front of him about 10 to 20 feet away and was amazed that it worked and we had good laughs over the mic. Good times.
Same! I tried SEGA Rally Revo and Dirt, nothing has the same level of balanced arcadey/simulation feel that this one does. Thanks for checking out the video, this one is pretty old, I think I've learned a lot since then. If you have time, please check out others and tell me what you think. Have a great day.
You’re welcome! I will check out more of your vids. I had some fun with Dirt but I don’t like the handling model when the car is at the edge, as it should be often in rally. Dirt also had some issues with its sense of speed. It didn’t bother me much with the slower cars but something isn’t right with the faster ones 😂. I’ll try out the sequel when it gets discounted or when they include the DLC with it. I think the recent Forza games have had the best handling model of the last decade; there’s a great balance and transition as the vehicle loses control. Forza should make a dedicated rally game IMO.
@@jaredfromspace That's a good thought about Forza. I haven't played any of them since the original Xbox. Project Gotham was another really well balanced experience, at least 1 through 3, which I have played.
Get one, it has an amazing library and the prices are reasonable for the hardware and software. Since it was designed for progressive scan, Xbox games look good on an HDTV. Also, any of the multiplatform games look much better than their PS2 and Gamecube. For example: Splinter Cell. Thanks for the comment, let me know if you get an Xbox!
Finally got a chance to get one and i havent stopped playing this game since 😊 was and always will be my Favourite Rally game 💙 What a masterpiece it is 😊😊
I played this game on the original XBOX. Graphics for the console with 64MB of RAM was just crazy! I don't know how many frames per second, but the gameplay was outstanding. Generally, I don't like arcade racing games, with one exception Rally Sport Challenge 2, it is a truly amazing game.
The Xbox had loads of killer looking games. If you haven't played Amped 2, Burnout, or Panzer Dragoon Orta, you should. The Xbox was way ahead of its time. Thanks for checking out the video. If you have time, please check out some newer videos. If you feel they're up to snuff, a sub would help out. Have a good day.
This was one of my favorite games to play as a late teen. My buddy would come over and we would play this for hours on end. He was a better driver than I, but I was no slouch so our competitions got very heated and close. We'd go on vacation and take the xbox so we could play rallisport 2. I was so hopeful when I saw Dirt Rally that it would be....Rallisport 3.....it's not and it makes me hate Dirt Rally with a passion. I miss this game. I wish there would be a PC 2016 equivalent.
Thanks man, Rally Sport Challenge remains one of my all time favorite Xbox games. My buddy and I would play it for hours. I haven't played any Dirt games though. Dirt Rally did show some promise, but it would be better if Dice would just make Rally Sport Challenge 3. I will eventually do Rally Sport Challenge as well.
This game is just amazing! I really liked a lot back when I was a kid, but now I completely in love with the game (I have a 100% profile, including the extra DLC challenges), and that doesn't happen very often
I remember these visuals being on a whole 'nother level in terms of lighting and soft (and NOT pixelated like many modern day games) shadows that cast through scenery and vehicles in real time. Heck this could easily pass as an XBox 360 title, only better because there's no bloom and no motion blur to spoil the visuals. I don't think I've ever got around finishing it though. Started playing recently on Xemu, and man, did I gain a whole new appreciation for its gameplay and physics.
Rallisport challenge 2 is one of my al time favorite xbox games, i had alot of fun when i played this game when i was teenager, especially on the rallycross. The best thing was that you could use any car on any track. You could use a hill climb car for rallycross or a rallycross car for ice racing, and thats something you cant do in any game today.
Yes, Rally Sport was one of my favorite games in high school, too. I always loved the hill climbs, for how fast and technical they could get. I did like how you could race any car on any course. Thanks for checking out the video. If you have time, please consider watching some of my newer videos. This review is one of my earliest, and I'd like to think I've improved. If the channel is up to your standards, please subscribe. Thanks and have a great day.
I never had XSN, but this game was/is legit regardless. Thanks for checking out the vid! If you have some time, please consider checking out some other videos I have created more recently. Have a great day.
Thanks! I appreciate the comment! Rally Sport Challenge 2 is one of my all time favs. It seems you can unlock the cars/colors with codes. Other than that I haven't seen any exploits for getting miles on a car quickly. Please share this with friends; any support would be a huge help. Here's a link for the codes and miles you need. www.gamefaqs.com/xbox/917536-rallisport-challenge-2/cheats
As soon as you play the last superrally race, even if you quit out straight away, you'll unlock all the paint jobs for the cars. Somebody said if you play the game for 30 hours it also works but I'd only played for 15 hours by the time I got to the last circuit.
That's a great bang for your buck! Original Xbox is still a fun system to collect for. You should pick up Amped 2, it's very affordable. If you have time, please check out some other videos I have produced. I think I've improved a lot since I made this one. Thanks for checking out the video, please consider subscribing, and have a great day.
I’m going to be honest I hated this game. Primarily cuz I was so bad at it. The tracks were hard for meand I couldn’t do turns good at all. The cars were kinda cool but half of em were ugly. I definitely preferred project Gotham racing game 2 over this game any day
Looking forward to replying it in 2024, just re-ordered a copy off ebay. Great game, can't believe it's 20 years old now
My favourite racing game physics of all time, I can't explain why but I just really love how the cars feel with turning drifting etc

Can I play this game on Xbox 360?
This remains my favorite rally game of all time. I hope they can add it (and the original) to the catalog of backwards compatible titles on Xbox One.

For sure, RSC is a unique game. Nothing else feels quite like it. Check out some of our other videos! There's lots going on! Thanks for the comment!
