Xiaomi had one advantage over others and that was pricing, it was once unbeatable but slowly they are trying to disrupt premium market with the likes of Apple & Samsung but they forget one thing, their software and support. I'm not saying MiUI is bad heck even I use it, it's futuristic and looks way better than any other Android skins but the quality is missing nor I've seen fulfilling promised updates on time. Then they are expecting people would get their premium phone with such issues, they are really joking, right?

Wow! finally someone with same thoughts. Throughout the video all I thought was "what are these prices?" especially during the camera test which honestly was unimpressive. For those prices you can go for other flagships that perform better. You nailed it when you said "Xiaomi HAD" because price was their absolute 1 advantage over competition. They completely lost it and I would not pay what they're asking now. I've always been an Android user and I'd rather go for an iPhone at this point. This is how bad it is.

@@squiddy7155 Asus Zenfone 9 proved that small and lightweight phones can have flagship SOCs. This Mi 13 lite is priced higher than the One Plus 11R which also comes with an 8+ gen1. So indeed they should have gone with that. This SD 7 gen 1 is manufactured using Samsung 4nm so chances are that this is gonna be pretty bad too.
8+ gen 1 should have been the right choice for the phone along with Android 13 out of the box.

@@stancex404 no. Dimensity 8100 wouldve been a way better choice for a lite phone. Sd8+ g1 is still a flagship soc. Maybe it can be use in lite or midrange phones next year. But not this year. Sd8+ g1 is still new and powerful

    • @stancex404
      @stancex404 Рік тому +3

@@squiddy7155 Like I said if OnePlus 11R has it in a lower price point then Xiaomi can also provide it. I understand it's a flagship SOC but it's a last gen flagship SOC that may have released 7-8 months ago but still uses the same architecture as its 15-16 months old 8 gen 1.
Dimensity 8100 is pretty good too but it's not as good as 8+ gen 1. Also Qualcomm chips are much better for custom roms and kernels. Xiaomi is one of the remaining companies that are still supporting rooting and customisation so 8100 doesn't make any sense.

Very detailed comparison, nice job. This is the best lineup so far. I use the vanilla 13 for about two weeks, and is a very good replacement for my Mi 10t pro. I like the compact form factor, cameras are decent. Miui 14 is Improved and is not that bad. Price is not the best, but I can admit that xiaomi wants to be a premium manufacturer, and the hardware is premium quality. The software is improving. Anyway it takes some time for some of us to recognize this. This partnership with Leica is adding to the final price. Ok the samsung s23 is cheaper maybe, but don't forget, they are manufacturing almost every component of their smartphones. Anyway I like this compact phone. 👍👍👍

I would personally go for Xiaomi 12 pro as it goes nearly same price than 13 lite.
I would say i would go 12 pro even compared to 13 normal version, since 12 pro has larger image sensor.

Top review!! Im not into the "leica style". For me the video is first.. i think a S23 is better purchase.

      11 lite 5G and 5G NE I presume?
Because 11 lite 4G to me was a scam, at least compared to its closest contemporary, Redmi note 10 pro.
The 11 lite 4G (Courbet) only appealed to people who cared more about aesthetics and looks than functionality.
Or well, people who had only that available in their region with no other choice.
I guess you could argue it brought a HDR 10+ display and 1 billion colors, but at the end of the day...is a gimmick that people won't use 85% of the time due to the lack of viewing actual HDR content in our everyday lives.
I haven't used "HDR" as a conversation point about my phone more than 5 times these past 2 years.
And I'm yet to perceive the color quality on a 10 bit display, since I haven't really used one properly yet.
It is also wayy less bright at 500nits vs 1200nits on the Redmi note 10 pro...this is especially important in outdoor usage.
And the 120Hz RR (which matters for most people's everyday lives, mine especially) it could have carried...was brought down to 90Hz for some reason.
Welp, after experiencing 120Hz for the past 2 years, i cannot accept anything lower as my maximum.
      ...And no ip53 protection.
This is just a polite rant, just don't get why Xiaomi didn't go with a 1:1 spec sheet for note 10 pro and 11 lite 4G.
But of course the names being different and design/weight difference kept as well.
I don't intend to shame anyone who uses an 11 lite 4G. But imo that phone was a solid scam. It's good looking that's for darn sure, but that's where it ends.
      *Its Look and feel/weight*
11 lite 5G and 5G NE though, were great phones. Especially considering their performance capabilities.

@@JstormZx I had 11 lite 5G NE I loved it so much I don’t care much about the spec or cameras as I only use it for work and watching UA-cam. I loved how it charge so fast and last full day.

@@von_9 you should care. lol maybe not about the cameras that's the least important part of a phone to me as well.
Because you can't be spending money on a product that doesn't catch up to its price value.
Especially when its contemporaries offer the same exact value or better... For cheaper.
That's not financial wisdom. You have to care.
Otherwise, you're willingly walking yourself into being scammed and ripped off.
Thinking and comparing before buying is better than buying on impulse and regretting the minute you get home.
Anyway that's just what I've learned these past few years. That's okay. Have a good one 🫠👍
