Great sound! I own a Made in Mexico Fender Standard Stratocaster and I can get some great high gain sounds out of the single coil pickups. I disagree with people who say single coil pickups are not good for distortion and you proved it on this video.
This is The Point, turn back the tone pot to give more high cut, then it Will be sounds like a humbucker with minor gain, try this then give me a feedback please?
@@giovanniferreira2033 I plan to do a bit of rewiring on it. Mainly making that the inbetween position of bridge and middle is wired in series and adding the tone knob to the bridge!
Cara, valeu pelo vídeo. Tenho uma Strato com Texas Specials também, e sofro em conseguir um timbre de distorção usável com o captador da ponte, fica muito estridente e metálico. Mas nunca tinha pensado em modificar o pot de tone para trabalhar com esse captador, a diferença no seu vídeo é gritante.
Da muita diferença Man, mas varia também o tipo de high gain que tu for usar, eu aconselho usar Overdrive de high gain, por exemplo pedal 5150, Friedman, ou similares, ou até mesmo amp... Agora amplificadores mais ardido como vox ou Marshall plexi talvez não fique tão legal... Uma outra dica é que vc pode usar tmb um compressor de forma sutil só pra compensar um pouco o ganho, comecei usar de uns tempos pra cá, fica bem agradável a tocabilidade com os singles
I play my Am Special Strat straight into a '66 Bassman 7 watt boutique clone. It's a less buzzy sound, but as you pointed out the bridge pickup is a tad on the piercing side with more gain. I really do like the guitar, though, and you got a nice metal sound out of this rig.

I'll get some audio of the Strat today. Oh... I also put in the 10 position Free Way switch mod... it is a terrific addition to the Strat.
I'm trying to find a good high gain tone for my Squier telecaster, but I only have a Nux mg 300, an overdrive and a compressor, I'm almost there, but it's hard with my current gear, haha.
I find playing with the bridge pickup, tone really low with my normal amp presets and an OD pedal sounds pretty much exactly like the bridge humbucker.

Sounds great! Do the Texas Specials make a huge difference compared to Alnico single coils and Ceramic single coils? I’m trying to decide between a Player Strat or an Albert Hammond Jr Strat. I’m going for this kind of tone since I mostly play with distortion. Cheers.
I always prefer alnico pickups, I love this little bit of a vintage tone. Texas Special is my favorite, versatible 'cause you can do a modern and vintage tone at same pickup.

@@diegoallan4999 não era pra ficar man, seu aterramento não está bom então, pq quando você fecha o volume, na realidade você libera todo o sinal da guitarra, para o terra, ou seja, não existe sinal nenhum, independente de ser single ou humbucker, o que pode acontecer é de não usar uma fonte isolada e também não ter aterramento na sua casa, pois o chiado que fica, são resíduos gerados pelos próprios pedais e pedaleira... Procure usar um noise gate, ou coisa do tipo se você usa pedaleira

Try to use an high gain Overdrive, not distortion... Like a Friedman BE-OD, my high gain in this video is a clone pedal of Friedman BE OD, which is your amp?

the problems about the single coil in a high distortion situation is that, they make a lot of humming annoying noise
In a band, I believe that this isn't so much relevant, anyway I sugest to use a noise gate pedal
