Man, I could listen to you riffing all day! Those are some great hi-gain strat tones, nice balance between the neck and bridge pickups. As an owner of a mid-70s strat (and player of said strat through the 70s, 80s and 90s), I’ve done a lot of that turning to try to minimize the hum, and using the volume knob to cut the noise between songs!
Everytime I hear Revv Amps they sound great. Of course a great player is the biggest part of the equation. If I ever decide to get another tube amp it’s gonna be a Revv.
Hey Shawn. Thank you so much for the great tips. I used my Suhr Strat to dial in some real nice gain tones, especially turning down the bass control on the amp and rolling off some of the highs on neck position tone control. Love it. Once again, your playing is so killer. Cheers.
Thanks for a very informative video, just what I was looking for! I'm a total noob when it comes to single coils although I've been playing for over 30 years, singles were never my cup of tea. Until I discovered them again just a few months ago and I think I found my new love. After playing for a couple of days, first thing I did was that second control to the bridge pickup trick. And without having watched any video to that point, it just seemed the logical thing to do. Next I adjusted pickup height to suit the way I hit the strings and to get them balanced sound wise. And in my noobiness, I started to dial a sound a liked, especially high gain sounds to the middle pickup, I found that if it sounds good there, then I have the ability to get the different characteristics of every position sounding just as good.
Also, it may be totally stupid by I tried some chorus added and I got some super ballsy and thick hard rock to 80s metal sounds. Don't know if that's a thing people do but man have I fallen in love with singles... 😁
If I was to get this amp would it be able to do let’s say not only just rock and metal but could I dial it in for jazz, country, blues like I want it to be able to be so versatile I’d be able to do it all with this beast
I’m looking to improve my single coil guitar experience by learning how to use high gain. Are you using a standard E tuning or something else? Sounds real nice!
I was (at one point) I was using DiMarzio Super Distortion, then Duncan Custom (among many others) = now Lollar Dirty Blonde-set = "I'm in Tone-Heaven" My pickup search has finally ended. Very informative Shawn. oNe LovE from NYC
That tone captured me from years. I had a long time without singles (2 years) and humbuckers are great, but I miss a lot that sound.

Thanks very much Sam!
Super Sunday single coil solutions, specifically super saturated sound shaping.
Alluring alliteration alleges aggregate assumptions of all encompassing aspects of tone.
All of that!!!
Man, that sounded great. Thank you for this video.
Thanks so much for watching!
The fabulous playing, incredible tones, beautiful amp, stellar advice and guidance, experience, articulate explanations, all very distracting~~
Thanks for a very informative video, just what I was looking for!

You mentioned that you're on the wrong side of the amp - what do you mean by that? Thanks

How was your journey my friend? I'm looking into it right now
@@lucasdiasguitarrista I got a rat pedal and it made my Strat chug real good.
What brand is that Strat? Thank you for this informative video on these tones.
It's an LSL, great boutique brand based out of Anaheim. I have an LSL Saticoy and I love it
