Hmmmm....I have an old NEXT! Super Bass 4.4 sitting right in front of me. Maybe I'll mod it somehow. I'm not in the UK, for the Circuitbender's mods. I
This seems cool but don`t understand why you`d restrict easy access to the cut off n res knobs by mounting 2 huge new knobs close to them ? surely you`d want to put big knobs on cut off n res and smaller new knobs below ?
You should look on a oscilloscope how asymmetrical these new sounds are, since the modulation comes from the oscillator itself, it will be assymetrical, especially when using the same waveform.
Using the same waveform? What? I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here. Does it matter if the 'new sounds' are asymmetrical, whatever that means? The VCO waveform is modulating the filter cutoff point.
I still don't know what point you're trying to make. What happens to what and when? I have no idea what "With low cutoff you have only upgoing waveform" means!
I just got an mb33. I’m a lot happier after seeing this vid great work hope it’s not too hard a fix..🙃
Sounds deadly! Love the downward sweep at around 0:52.

The Superbass 4.4 is a MAM MB33 mkII. Its a very different machine to the MB33 mkI or the Retro.
Oh WOW!
Do you have any details of how I could go about doing these mods or are they something you will be offering?
Great work!

Works fine for me, but it does seem to open a new window so i guess it might be blocked by something.
I still can t get on the site...and I need to :)
I need this sound. If I can't get software to make this sound, I'm buying one. So far you have defeated synthmaster... next challenger VCV rack...

Well you could always swap them over. Thats the wonderful world of knobs for you

Can you share the schematics?

The VCO waveform is modulating the filter cutoff point.
Take a look in Soundforge or something to see what happens. With low cutoff you have only upgoing waveform.
I still don't know what point you're trying to make.

Personally, I don't care how it `looks`, it sounds awesome ;)
These comments are proper tapped
I want this on mine

Uhhh
doesn't sound so nice and definitely not worth 90 pounds
Interesting, and what would you like us to do with this information that you've taken time out of your no doubt busy schedule to bestow upon us?
_Nice is in the ear of the beholder_ … or something.
