This seems cool but don`t understand why you`d restrict easy access to the cut off n res knobs by mounting 2 huge new knobs close to them ? surely you`d want to put big knobs on cut off n res and smaller new knobs below ?
You should look on a oscilloscope how asymmetrical these new sounds are, since the modulation comes from the oscillator itself, it will be assymetrical, especially when using the same waveform.
Using the same waveform? What? I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here. Does it matter if the 'new sounds' are asymmetrical, whatever that means? The VCO waveform is modulating the filter cutoff point.

The Superbass 4.4 is a MAM MB33 mkII. Its a very different machine to the MB33 mkI or the Retro.
