Craziest thing about Zone EM is that in co-op it always uses the zone that the host is in! So if the host is in Inazuma, and someone else takes burning damage in Mondasdt the damage tics are calculated as if they're in Inazuma
That just sounds like a game dev doing the lazy and easy to code thing instead of doing the thing that makes more sense logically but takes a bit more work to do.
There was a rock somewhat nearby dawn winery that after you kill it does respawn the next day. I used to kill it every so often, then after one of the sumeru patches it stopped reapawning.
@@kanarxn I deleted the pin on my map a few weeks ago, but i would teleport to that campsite outside dragonspine where there is a cryo whopperflower nearby. I'm a mobile player and I've been doing this literally since I started doing abyss. Because somehow after Sumeru the loading takes significantly more time for some reason and sometimes I have to wait like 10 seconds in Deepwood domain for the enemies to spawn.
Fun fact: some time ago Dvalin for some reason had immunity to hydro aura. Hydro damage worked, you just wern't able to apply hydro element. So all hydro reactions were disabled. But they changed this.
@@cybersharq427 same. Hu tao without vapes feels slightly worse, and I used her a lot. But I struggled a lot more with elemental mastery build on Lisa. There is one other thing in the iceberg: When you use Yae Miko's abilities to summon turrets, the amount of a target's health bar that gets removed by the turrets (despite your damage numbers remaining the same) is increased based on what she says when she brings out the turrets. If she says "come on out" or "show them" then you'll only do the normal amount of damage. If you turned off voice volume ie. You play without character voice lines, your Miko does approximately 6.29481% less damage (despite the same numbers showing) But if she says in this exact order "right here, right now, emerge", your turrets actually start doing an additional 5.82741% repeated (Duh) damage. Which means if you hear that, you'll actually want to hold off on using her Burst for a while, let those turrets breathe. Incidentally - if you do hear RHRNE and use your Burst on turrets from that combo, your BURST also does approx. 3.824% extra damage, and since that's damage%, it double dips on Aggravates which is great since her Ult doesn't have an ICD. Yeah it's very deep stuff.

30:07 Another trick that works with the book in abyss is that it extends how long you can stay in your charged attack with the claymore characters that spin, which is noelle, chongyun, razor, sayu, and xinyan. Finally, you jump cancel your charged attack, but by jumping you can wavedash out of it giving you more auto hits.
Something useful that opening "book" or any other menu can do in abyss is that if you have bad connection it will pause the timer and you can wait for the enemies to load

The other enemies with variations are the bow hilichurls, they sometimes fire 1 arrow, and some 3 arrows, I swear there might be a 5 arrow variant, though I don't recall it from any special part of the game Abyss mages (mostly cryo) have variation on recovery phase, by having more or less icicles around them
This is a baller video. I didn't even know about the hitlag piece until you pointed it out in that section. Even I'm learning something new here. Very well done Zajef.
I remember people used to use the book trick for the PMA in abyss back in 2.1 (?) If you sat in the book menu for like 30s the PMA would go into its downed state immediately (where it sends out ruin sentinels). This made it a lot easier for players that couldn’t meet the intended dps requirement because you’d transition faster into the decreased resistance state.
This is an absolutely amazing explanation for a ton of terms that many people know, but dont properly understand. Like the concepts that are brought up are so clearly explained. He does very well with this generally, whether it be in a guide or pre/post release. Genuinely one of the best (my favourite) theorycrafters in this whole community.
Why no omen shanenigans though? It it some sort of KQM conspiracy against LaCola? Omen mechanics and poise damage is it's own iceberg. Even after all the years of everything around it being figured out, everyone always freaks out when you start explaining how Omen actually works, and that the tooltip is a lie. Oh, speaking of poise damage. There's also fall damage that's not really fall damage, but actually collision damage. Good times beating whopperflowers against a wall and slamming a geochanter into a hut ceiling. EDIT: Also particles on abyss half end aren't wasted. They are wasted on side 2 only. But particles DO persist across sides, so you can battery your side 2 team by feeding it particles from side 1. I used it when doing solo clears.
I knew about the Ning RNG NAs that fuck over DPS and CA (tho I've been circumventing it by holding forward to cycle through NAs faster and letting go of forward when using CAs with the non-twirl NAs) I did not know about that energy particle ICD on her skill, which explains why she wasn't making particles for my Itto sometimes smh
At the very least with this newfound knowledge, I can have a smoother rotation for my triple Geo team because of that wack ass energy particle ICD, like bruh wtf Hoyo
Read somewhere thst "The rock" was meant for some qeust in the test stages that was later remove but they left the rocks in the game. No idea how accurate that is but it makes sense. Removing them makes no difference to the game and is just extra work. Plus it becomes sort part of game lore, things people will talk about so, at worst it makes no difference, at best it becomes a funny for the community. Leaving them in was the right choise. Assuming thst IS what happened.
About Mona's C1 Do you think they didn't updated it for dendro it's because they KNOW it's bugged and if they touch it for dendro they're gonna have to acknowledge it, like I think it's the only thing they didn't update for some reason
damn lol when i heard the word "dragonstrike" i felt as if my whole life flashed before my eyes. that was the first tenten video i ever watched. i miss those times. they were simpler.
I finally understand how Tony applies pyro to the enemy to swirl without doing anything, I wondered about that for a long long time now. Good vid zajef 👍🏻
ER is the best stat until it’s not. Nobody tell the Yelan Mains subreddit this. It’s gotten better with time, but right after her release literally nobody wanted to build sufficient ER on her, saying they would rather “do damage.” Like bro, you need energy in order to *do* damage!
38:43 ive been lied to (by myself) for two years thinking ninggguang had a definite sequence of animations i never paid attention to (i would use her early game) i can feel my world falling apart
Also there is a footstool, its like dragonstrike in terms of it reason to do it. Literally free plunges but it works completely different: You just use an enemy collision box (that is basically an invisible sphere) to get higher by jumping at the enemy after a dash to create enough momentum to slide further above on them. And when you are high enough you can plunge. (repeat until everything dead) Way too easier to do then a dragonstrike but doesent really works with a big enough mobs that have a quirky collision box taht you cant really slide on to.
Need the updated version pretty bad. I think i watched this around 20 times Luv u man keep doing what you do best And say hi to your boyfriend nick for me
"Booking particles" is gonna save me some actual abyss retries. Too many times have I killed an enemy and the particles go boom which means I don't get my burst for the next chamber, now I can avoid that.
This video actually helped me understand most mechanics that I didn't understand before or didn't even know existed lol Thanks for always making amazing content like this and explaining things in a way that everyone can understand it 💚
About the anemo mc, someone has stated that it could be a hint about our nation progress. Cryo is first because, probably, shneznaya will be the last nation we visit. Pyro is second as natlan is the second last, vice versa with electro being the last as inazuma is the first (third) nation we visited
omg that book mechanic is in honkai as well in catching energy. people often call it pause-gaming. didn't know that genshin has something like this. thx zajef! xD
this is an enlightening ass video, as someone who's kinda picked up parts of these concepts via osmosis before everything is making so much more sense now :D tysm for condensing everything in 1 video like this, was a joy to watch
I'm hopeful for many more TF applications. I've also always wanted a support that shares dmg dealt to a marked single target, and my favorite to work with such a setup would be Bennett, both his TF and melt setups are so cool, but not as applicable and reliable as taser and national you might as well go for instead. I mean, there's plenty of situations where TF Benny has to leave the circle and does fine just buffing elecs without Noblesse, but I still am not surprised these teams never really took off vs. alternatives where Bennett is quickswap glue at best, outside TF vs. some shield chambers. One more note regarding this character, I'd love them to be a hydro that provides enough application for Yoimiya but not Hu Tao, if it's not enough for Yoi, she has trouble fitting the slot, while if it was enough to solo-hydro for Hu Tao, she'd probably benefit a little too much considering lower opportunity cost. (But she could possibly maybe do Yelan + this char, idk if that works out) This also lines up perfectly for TF Bennett and can even work with Melt-Bennett, so I REAAALLY would love this support kit. And, hell, another national variation or two, who knew.
mona’s c1 does work for frozen, however the difference is only around 3-4 frames, or 300ms. 2 units of cryo into hydro applies a 3.6 unit frozen aura which ends up lasting 2.4 seconds and with mona ult it ends up being 2.7 seconds. but its minimal that it barely matters. that and frozen aura decays faster after each application make it seem like it doesnt do much.

The other enemies with variations are the bow hilichurls, they sometimes fire 1 arrow, and some 3 arrows, I swear there might be a 5 arrow variant, though I don't recall it from any special part of the game
Abyss mages (mostly cryo) have variation on recovery phase, by having more or less icicles around them
5 arrow shooting hili archers def appear in abyss, i think somewhere in floor 6-8 and also in older abysses, usually in monolith defense chambers
This is a baller video. I didn't even know about the hitlag piece until you pointed it out in that section. Even I'm learning something new here. Very well done Zajef.
Can't believe you missed fischl turbo and cursed weapon infusion reaction. Which both is very cursed
Fischl turbo???!
Please, continue.
That XQ unlimited blade works is so trippy I can't even
27:49 that sub timing was perfect lmao
I remember people used to use the book trick for the PMA in abyss back in 2.1 (?) If you sat in the book menu for like 30s the PMA would go into its downed state immediately (where it sends out ruin sentinels). This made it a lot easier for players that couldn’t meet the intended dps requirement because you’d transition faster into the decreased resistance state.
FINALLY SOMETHING GOOD TO WATCH WHILE I GRIND GENSHIN
I don’t why I love all kinds of iceberg videos
BANGER INFORMATIVE VIDEO APOGUS
I can vouch for the last tip of the video. My damage has improved greatly since stumbling upon Zajef’s content.
Book trick is very useful for POLtato PC and Mobile gamers to save up time waiting the mobs to spawn.
There's is also the Al'haitham Training Buff
Apparently using the Knowledge Capsule actually buffs your MC attack permanently
This is the first time I caught a stream before watching the video. Mr. Editor you are kind of a magician.
I used it when doing solo clears.
so much informative, thanks zajef

I love how the meta side of the community has a collective thought of placing bowtae as the highest achievable form of a genshin player KEKW
I knew about the Ning RNG NAs that fuck over DPS and CA (tho I've been circumventing it by holding forward to cycle through NAs faster and letting go of forward when using CAs with the non-twirl NAs)
I did not know about that energy particle ICD on her skill, which explains why she wasn't making particles for my Itto sometimes smh
At the very least with this newfound knowledge, I can have a smoother rotation for my triple Geo team because of that wack ass energy particle ICD, like bruh wtf Hoyo
what a great christmas present, thanks zajef
im gonna use that booking trick to catch particles before the end of a chamber lmao. actually really useful
Assuming thst IS what happened.
this is going to be entertaining af

About Mona's C1
Do you think they didn't updated it for dendro it's because they KNOW it's bugged and if they touch it for dendro they're gonna have to acknowledge it, like I think it's the only thing they didn't update for some reason
wow! I did notice this too!
this is because its not a actual bug just that 15% of 3ish second freeze is 0,45s which is nothing. Works as it is stated just shit xD
Faruzan E can guoba swirl as well, because it is literally a copy and pasted Sucrose E.
damn lol when i heard the word "dragonstrike" i felt as if my whole life flashed before my eyes. that was the first tenten video i ever watched. i miss those times. they were simpler.
I finally understand how Tony applies pyro to the enemy to swirl without doing anything, I wondered about that for a long long time now. Good vid zajef 👍🏻
ER is the best stat until it’s not.
Nobody tell the Yelan Mains subreddit this. It’s gotten better with time, but right after her release literally nobody wanted to build sufficient ER on her, saying they would rather “do damage.” Like bro, you need energy in order to *do* damage!
they are "one rotate" squad
we cant do anything for them
Those "bugs" on Ningguan is the EXACT reason I gave up on having her as my GEO dps....
I believe faruzan’s charged shots can swirl guoba
Yep
This is one of the best videos you've ever done. Great job!
An iceberg,, can't wait till we get a teamcomp with that name..
38:43 ive been lied to (by myself) for two years thinking ninggguang had a definite sequence of animations i never paid attention to (i would use her early game)
i can feel my world falling apart
Also there is a footstool, its like dragonstrike in terms of it reason to do it. Literally free plunges but it works completely different: You just use an enemy collision box (that is basically an invisible sphere) to get higher by jumping at the enemy after a dash to create enough momentum to slide further above on them. And when you are high enough you can plunge. (repeat until everything dead) Way too easier to do then a dragonstrike but doesent really works with a big enough mobs that have a quirky collision box taht you cant really slide on to.
this works very consistently on setekh wenut
There's also Lisa's entire kit with her infinitely vertical hitbox and bouncing mechanics, but that can all get hashed out once her new skin drops
31:25 booking is also useful for abyss when enemies take a lot to appear and you don't want the cooldown to go down
I think someone did a test in beta showing faruzan being able to Guoba swirl lol
there was no mention of how to swim further and that with the help of mona, you can overcome any distance without loss of stamina
I've been playing this game for 3+ years and I've got to know so many stuff from this video.... Damn, thank you, super interesting!
Need the updated version pretty bad.
I think i watched this around 20 times
Luv u man keep doing what you do best
And say hi to your boyfriend nick for me
this is the reason the titanic sank NOTED
"Booking particles" is gonna save me some actual abyss retries. Too many times have I killed an enemy and the particles go boom which means I don't get my burst for the next chamber, now I can avoid that.
This video actually helped me understand most mechanics that I didn't understand before or didn't even know existed lol
Thanks for always making amazing content like this and explaining things in a way that everyone can understand it 💚
A little bit about resistance / defense might be nice - like how transformative reactions ignore resistance.
About the anemo mc, someone has stated that it could be a hint about our nation progress. Cryo is first because, probably, shneznaya will be the last nation we visit. Pyro is second as natlan is the second last, vice versa with electro being the last as inazuma is the first (third) nation we visited
I am so surprised you didn't mention client side vs server side stuff. Most people play on 200 or higher pin,
Its recorded mid november i think. 2nd part would be great.
Also ganyu burst on mobile
omg that book mechanic is in honkai as well in catching energy. people often call it pause-gaming. didn't know that genshin has something like this. thx zajef! xD
this is an enlightening ass video, as someone who's kinda picked up parts of these concepts via osmosis before everything is making so much more sense now :D tysm for condensing everything in 1 video like this, was a joy to watch
