- In this video we try out the USS Raptor. Armedwith Quantum Torpedoes, how will it do in our battle tests?
First of all it will go up against 3 Klingon K'Tingas, then a Negh'Var and then the Scimitar!
This is a very interesting design. To me it looks like an updated Norway class than a Akira class. That's just me though.

Klingon ships in BC are so "weak" at the front because the AI decides to keep their nose pointed at you even when their shields are down, since that's where the bulk of their weapons array is located...bad move, though. Better to swing around to wait for your disruptors to fully charge and spread the damage out along your shield grid.

Curious. In "reality," I would have to guess Klingon ships heavily favoured their forward shields. That seemed almost explicitly the case with Duras' BoP in "The Expanse."
That's the case in BC remastered as well; the frontal shields are significantly stronger. The raptor's torpedoes are simply too strong though.
I feel like the Negh’var in Bridge Commander Remastered (BCR?) is very underpowered.
Still a cool Starfleet ship, though anything that can 1v1 the Scimitar is a MONSTER
Hexa's new Neg'var update to WCs ship is rumored to have a Remastered Version in the works...😅
A very Federationy looking ship and with lots of fun details too. It's not overpowered even if it's powerful and I think the design is excellent. It almost feels like an alternative universe ship that you might see as a variant never built in some parallel reality episode of Star Trek.
There was a time when the Scimitar was considered OP in BC remastered...
@@keyboardt8276 power creep is totally a thing. However, it makes some sense if you think about it. The Scimitar is a fantastic ship against many smaller targets at the same time whereas this ship seems to be weak against multiple targets and strong against single ones. Thus, the Raptor wins due to being newer and fighting in an advantageous style.

HE did not succeed.. hmm. and when I heard Shinzon I had chills..😨 eeeh.. guess he cannot see in the dark Captain.. Again amazing battle and very capable ship!!! loved it!!!!😊🖖

Replace the saucer section with a delta shape like from Prometheus and you got something that looks like a Klingon/Federation hybrid design.
One would think the forward of all Klingon warships would have doubled or tripled armor. The downside of forward arcs constituting 80% of their ship's firepower is inviting heavy damage.

This could work as a major refit for the Galaxy class. scrapping the old stardrive section and doing away with the saucer separation, since it was rarely used.

The Raptor looks like a early TNG version of the Akira. The Raptor is to the Akira, what the Galaxy is to the Sovereign.
Have you ever tried a battle where all you use are phasers?🤔 Torpedoes make it too easy I think.
Phasers are used to drain shields. once they drained enough torpedos are used to deliver the final blow too a porus shield.
1 of my favorite ships. I added darkmatter torpedoes.
So you can fire yourself, right? 😜

Is there a way to get this ship to work on KM? I've tried a few times but had no luck
There is, but I would have to pull the files to see what would be needed (there was a script/file path error on the KM upload from way back).
You also need a specific torp pack for KM for that version, as the Quantums used are a very specific set; otherwise you shoot "Projectile Substitute"

How did you manage to make your raptor to work? When i try to spawn the raptor on my stbc it always crashes the game
