- Joy Hernandez introduces us to a blind Border Collie named Chica from the Terre Haute Indiana area. This sweet gal plays ball with the best of them! How does she know where the ball is? How does she manage to get around? The incredible senses of this amazing dog will astonish you, especially noteworthy when you realize this dog has now gotten attention overseas, too!
Amazing...dogs still have a great sense of smell and hearing.
One of my dog has some cataract problems in his eyes. And I swear he's cuter than the rest. He'll happily trot straight into a vacuum and bounce right back up and go on his merry way
My dog had his eyes removed at 3, took him a while to adjust as he was an owner give up at work but he’s doing well now :)
My dog just had both eyes removed for the same reason and he loved to play ball. I wish he would try again.
Throw it directly at his face repeatedly so that he can hone his natural bat-like sonar capability. You'd be surprised at how quickly they- and children- will strongly develop that hidden talent in order to keep being beaned in the mouth and breaking teeth or busting the nose or cracking the forehead. Sometimes it's less than a week, if you do it daily & consistently.
❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful dog. She is truly amazing and you have done a wonderful job of taking care of her.
Aww amazing
God bless you both...such a sweetheart that dog is so full of life
My dog, Spook, Is Fully Blind He Loves To Play With His Ball/Balls HE GOSE CRAZY, he dosn't stop following me around, he sleep in my room, jumps on my bed, DOSEN'T CARE WHAT IN FRONT OF HIM JUST RUNS ( O-O ). He has had tooth issues lately :( -Sophie, 11
Amazing
So this was my grandmas dog and I was about 4 she passed away
My Heeler has both eyes removed and insists on playing ball several times a day. She goes down a paved trail with his brother and acts like a little tank off lead. I send his brother if he gets sniffin' and falls behind, and he gets herded up the trail. (doesn't mind thinks it's a game.)
no stopping her
We have a blind dog without eyes too. And he loves to play fetch!
Scent, and sound are the primary sensory stimuli for a Canine. Canine's evolved to use sight secondary. They can get around without eyes just fine, however it's an unfortunate inconvenience.
spirit can create miracles feed em an occasional pat on the back these guys would jump in front of a bullet for ya
Just wondering is the life expectancy less then a dog with vision even in a good home?
A friend of mine has a potbellied pig that had to have his eyes removed. He seems to do pretty well, though....
Ruins the trophy mount value though.
Now is it spelled onwer or owner. Look at the insert in the beginning that states the dog owners name...
wtf i thought there was a guy narrator hidden like narrators do but then i kept seeing the ladies mouth jawing LMFAOOO WTF
is it ok that i use some of this video for an assignment?
Dead eyes could often turn into cancer later in life. THat is most likely why they had them removed.
Amazing story!

The narrator's voice, I swear to God. Most annoying thing.
michael maciel It sounds like she normally narrates children's books, reading them in the kiddie section in the library or something. It's crazy annoying.
