I know it always gets said “who wants something like this.”. Me. I’m a double amputee so the thought of trying to get in and out of a 911 doesn’t thrill me at all. But something like this gives me 5he handling thrill I’d get in a 911 (mostly) but much easier and safer for me.
The dichotomy in the industry is insane. On one hand, manufacturers are shoving EV down our throats, yet they are also selling all the gas-guzzling SUV's they can build. These will sell like hotcakes and probably more than the comparably priced Taycan Turbo (S). Personally, i prefer the regular Cayenne body, but this is pretty cool. Not for me, but it's nice to know they exist.
The RSQ8 is the same deal. Looks way better and even went around Nurburgring faster than the Urus. When the Cayenne Turbo GT and RSQ8 are faster and cheaper, it makes you realize that people who buy the Urus are paying about $100,000 more for a badge
The Dashboard of Gt vs Urus is almost the same. Basicaly Urus it is on another level of interior engine and look. I dont know what the fuck are you smoking with your no brainer deal when you clearely have no ideea what are actually the league of those bouth cars are.
Who the fuck cares about "wind buffeting"?? This is more like a "California thing", but doesn't matter at all in the rest of the world. Here in Germany, you don't drive with opened side windows on the Autobahn.
I was going to ask about why the GT even exists, because it makes very little sense with the german laws regarding hybrid vehicles (half as expensive to lease as a business vehicle) but with your explanation in the beginning it makes total sense, for the American market :D

my first car, an '08 civic si coupe was the best car I have owned when it comes to driving with the windows down. You could have a conversation on the highway with the windows down, it was amazing. I've since owned two new Mercedes AMG cars and a Porsche Cayenne and they were all awful with the windows down. Could not even tolerate it lol.
Who wants this car? Someone who wants ultraperformance and outstanding quality in a very stealthy invisible package. The only people who will know what this is on the road are other Porsche owners. Like most Porsches, little flash amazing quality and a joy to drive.

I love my Jaguar F-Pace SVR, I couldnt fault it for anything.......then I saw the Turbo GT. I had to order one. This worldwide supply and logical nightmare has delayed everything, but it will finally be built in September. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

If I was a much richer carpenter… me. It was made for me. Northern Michigan guy who has a dog, likes to camp and occasionally tow something, but knows and loves roads. This is my unicorn truck. As it stands I’m saving up for a 2013-2015 GTS Cayenne. With the sport wheel. Surprisingly hard to find.
with the money one of these optioned out would command you could probably get a decent cayenne S and a 718 GTS 4.0 I know which one i would rather have
It’s built for people like me that live in SWFL where the roads are straight and flat. It’s something that is super comfortable long distance, you can haul stuff, yet blow away 99% of the cars on the road. I personally went for an SQ7 (which is currently on 🔥 somewhere in the Atlantic) which is the same motor for 80k less. If I ever get the car it’s getting a APR tune and will be more powerful than this or the Urus.
Audi RSQ8 was mentioned only once at 9:04. It literally held the SUV Nurburgring record before the GT, and it was faster than the Urus. It's also the more realistic competitor to the GT. Does Matt really hate Audi that much that he purposely avoided mentioning it?
I don't think it is faster than the Urus. Lamborghini could have sent a factory team and beat the Audi but corporate politics decided that they didn't want the Lamborghini to hold the record. The Urus is faster so it only needed to put the effort to beat the Audi but VW group decided that it wanted Audi to hold the record. It's all about the marketing.
The A6 Allroad 3.0 BiTDI is the best all-rounder. It's fast because of modern tires. Take an old supercar and put modern tires and brakes and it'll kill this thing.

Seems to be some confusion here, the LFA is not an SUV is it??? Anyway the current production car record is held by the AMG GT Black Series - 6:43 set in October last year. The fastest road legal car is the Porsche GT2RS MR with 6:40. The overall record is held by the Porsche 919 hybrid Evo with an insane 5:19 set in June 2018. Now a Tesla fanboy will reply and say that it will for sure be smoked by a Model S Plaid..... 🤣
Does it annoy anyone else other than me that nearly all Cayenne models look identical? Besides wheels and some minor aero, this looks like my wife's base Cayenne. Previous generation Cayenne's did not suffer from this flaw. The old GTS's and Turbos were stunning looking.
Porsche will give you the 18 way but that only comes with the two leather options that are at minimum $3800 more, so if you want the race tex you have to give up the lumbar it's not really a no cost thing. I have built over 500 different Porsches on the website, i know them in and out, sadly because i'll never even drive one.
Y'all give Toyota a ton of crap for the wind buffeting in the Supra but so easily dismiss the buffeting in a $200k SUV because it has a Porsche badge on it smh
So Funny. My old ‘06 cayenne turbo S has hideous side glass wind buffeting. It’s Impossible to drive with only the front glass partially open. All these years and still a problem. Weird.
If only they made it in the regular roofline instead of the coupe roof, I'd be interested...... if I won the lottery 😅 Thing is sick though, just really wish they offered everything here in the regular roofline, I absolutely dispise all these SUV "coupe's"

You have to take into consideration that the Audi and Lambo will handle nowhere as good as this Porsche, even they are good in their own right.
