- Hi! Thanks for visiting the channel!
I am excited to show you this kit that i have anticipated since months, when i first read on scalemates that AmusingHobby is releasing this.
The Centurion Mk.5 AVRE is an Assault Vehicle from the Royal Engineers and has a 165mm gun, which is greatly reproduced in this kit.
Highlights of this kit are the reactive armour plates and the dozer blades. There are also some great decals included, including corps flags.
I have lost the footage of building the stowage bins, and didn't recognize it until it was finished, sorry. I can tell you, the stowage bins are annoying to assemble, but it isn't much of a problem either.
The music was taken from:

bought myself one a couple weeks back after watching this, brilliant kit.
its very nice and finely detailed! I'm painting it right now while building some ship
Great video my friend looks a fantastic build looking forward to the painting stay safe my friend 👍🙏
Great job.Looks like a nicely detailed kit 👍
I've just built it too, it was definitely the cheapest kit I'd bought for a while at £50 UK big different of the £75 I usual pay for kits sometimes 3 at a time like the other day I also bought the amusing hobby Ferdinand with crane and there new Elephant kit and another RFM Tiger lol I'm building a RFM tiger just now with full interior I enjoyed the full interior Sherman kit before this Tiger interior kit I'm really enjoying it with all the references I need and books of a specific Tiger taking a while again but always keep the stash topped up over lockdown lol
Great build video. Nice tidy work
Nicely done and a great looking kit....will be fantastic once painted no doubt so will be checking out to see how it finishes.
That was a fantastic build of a not seen very often version of the Centurion, my only wish is a manufacturer will bring out a Mk 13 Centurion, the last version the British used, will you be doing a painting episode? Very best regards from Australia.
May i make a suggestion? Even if you have no crew figures ,use white glue to fix the hatches closed. That way,if you ever do find a set,it is a lot simpler to add the crew later.
I have this beauty in my stash, but still need to get a few after market items.
Soon......
again a very nice model thanks for that
That is a fantastic build, I look forward to the painting video, mean ti e take care and keep safe and well, best regards from Australia.
Thanks! I have to think of a small base, then i can paint it
Probably some desertized region
Never heard of ‘amusing hobby’ before, I’ll have to check them out.
They have some really cool and unusual models, but they're quite expensive,... i usually wait for good discounts when getting them.
@@funinscale2892 yeah I’ve seen a few obscure ones. They have good details though
Small tip for doing tracks put down a bit of double sided tape on a flat card or board and work along in say 7 links and glue the ends and a drop in middle slightly so still flexible when lift themand fit round sprockets etc! Use a flat blade or thin bit of plasti card like a scraper to lift them in runs off runs tape! Just a small tip modeller to modeller
Thanks for the tip! i usually avoid the single track link kits because its quite boring assembling them and i dont think rubber ones are that bad, but they definitely have more detail if you are patient enough!
Мощно выглядит.
Awesome build Peter. Hope to also see this tank in an upcoming diorama. I was wondering if you build ships, tanks or aircraft from your home country? I remember your said you live in Europe, but I don't know what country. Again excellent work and video, really enjoy your channel. Have a great week and stay safe and healthy my friend.👍👍
Thanks, Chris! I haven't got plans for dioramas for this tank, so i think i will wait with painting this as well, like the AMX-10, until i find a good photo or something.
I am from Austria, so i have built a ship and a helicopter from my country, but there aren't many specifically austrian vehicles to build in plastic model kits.
My interest are more british vehicles, i think they always have unique and excentric designs that were role models for generations of vehicles, like the centurion or HMS dreadnought.
US ships are my second favourite because of their massive size and the fact that every part of the ship is covered in guns :D
Stay safe as well, my friend!
I have the same stanley knife!!!!!!!!!!!
Do the track links need cement to fix it in place?
No, they just snap into place
It's a nice kit but one huge issue. Amusing literally copied AFV centurions. There is a guy who put the parts next to each other and they were perfect . hope amusing doesn't get blasted.
True, i saw a video of a centurion sho't from AFV Club after making this video and it is really VERY similar. Maybe they made a rebox and added some parts to make this specialised version, but the quality is great! Amusing Hobby always makes very rare and unique vehicles like the Conqueror, the Löwe or similar vehicles, so i can fogive them for stealing other molds :D
On the normal versions, the only difference is that 1 of the boxes was already made and built into the tank.
pj modeler
great job after seeing your video a week ago i ordered one right away . can,t wait for the build
Thanks! It is a cool build for avery unique tank!
