TCAS Lego Pinsetter - New Sweep Drive

  • It's that time of the year again, SUMMER! I have much more time to work on the pinsetter, and it all starts now. I needed to compact the pinsetter up a bit, so I used the space in front, right behind the masking unit, to fit the sweep drive mechanism. It's bigger than before, but it's also much better! It now drives both sweep arms as opposed to only one in the previous design. This makes the sweep much stronger now, and most importantly, more reliable.

    Wow ! Your sweep operation is way better than the one before and the one made by Simple Simulations. Also I didn’t made Mini Bowling videos on my Mini Bowling alley for a while cause I need to work on something on one of my 2 sweeps which is the main flaw with one of my GS Pinsetters and I’m busy with school and my Bowling Tournaments. Hopefully I’ll repair or replace that sweep soon if I had the resources and a request of a help from Andys Bowl.

    I think what you also need is to make a much more decent look of the ball return. After the ball reaches the end, try to make it be able to return the ball rack

    • @ThinkCleverAndSmart
      @ThinkCleverAndSmart  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, I’ve been thinking of that, but to keep the astetics of the return, as well as put the time on the pinsetter instead, I want to do that on a later date. I don’t see it as a priority right now. :/

    • @ThinkCleverAndSmart

      I don't want to be rude but it's quite annoying how you spaced out your comment, and now to answer your question: I have had a lot of people ask me to make tutorials and such for the pinsetter, but the truth is I don't want to do it. A lot of people have copied my work and it's just not fun anymore. I put a lot of time and effort into what I do, and I don't want people to steal it. Let alone give it away in the form of a tutorial. Instead I will make payed instructions in high quality for the ones who are really interested when the pinsetter is all finished and working. thanks.

    • @LeeGamerYT
      @LeeGamerYT 5 років тому +1

      @ThinkCleverAndSmart Yes sorry about spacing just thought you were interested which not lmao and yes I think you are right about the paying for instructions which I think since you put so much effort into all of this work for like 7 years I think nobody should copy you which I also believe that is rude and also 2 1/2 years ago I got inspired in LEGO bowling so I used to love your videos since today and I will always be inspired by you ;D! Good luck on improving, I hope you will come with better ways on your machine. Also do a full game video I bet people on your channel such as me would like to watch that, anyways thank you for your time ;) I also fixed the comment of spacing

    • @ThinkCleverAndSmart
      @ThinkCleverAndSmart  5 років тому +1

      Yes exactly, however it’s important for people to know that it’s ok (and even recommended) to get inspired from what I do. Copy is rude, but inspired is nice! Competition is what drives us. :)
      Hope you will follow along! I do have a full game video already, but it’s quite old now. The thing is that when I released it, most of the people watching thought I had finished the entire pinsetter, even if I hadn’t. I’ll think about a way to make such a video without people getting confused. :)

    I've had this question ever since I watched you how does the machine know when the ball has passed The Sweep

    • @ThinkCleverAndSmart
      @ThinkCleverAndSmart  5 років тому

    • @mathewgrinnell7392
      @mathewgrinnell7392 5 років тому

      @@ThinkCleverAndSmart AH that makes sense cause the table chassis and ball return are that of Brunswick. the Sweep is your own design. but the actual spotting mechanism is AMF. the distributor is AMF. the pinwheel is Brunswick A-2. but the Carpet is AMF. i love design so far you have come a long way in 6 years don't give up on it.
