    After loosing my mind around my "grande retro" and I was 100% sure it was a bad carburetor, this one finally solved my problem, I also replaced the small fuel filter, now it runs flawlessly. Thanks a lot

    If I want to replace all of PVC hoses as you, those PVC hoses does have temperature limit range? Are they special type? Maybe you give some idea, thanks!

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  Рік тому +1

      When it comes to replacing PVC hoses, it's important to consider the temperature limits and choose hoses that are suitable for your specific needs. PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) hoses typically have temperature limitations that should be taken into account.
      Standard PVC hoses usually have a temperature range of around 0°C to 60°C (32°F to 140°F). These hoses are suitable for a wide range of applications, including water transfer, irrigation, and general-purpose use. However, they may not be suitable for high-temperature environments or applications where the temperature exceeds their limits.
      If you require PVC hoses that can handle higher temperatures, you may need to look for specialized variants. High-temperature PVC hoses are available in the market, and they are designed to withstand elevated temperatures. These hoses may have a temperature range of -10°C to 80°C (14°F to 176°F) or higher, depending on the specific product.
      When selecting PVC hoses, be sure to check the manufacturer's specifications and guidelines to ensure they meet your desired temperature requirements. It's also worth considering the intended application, pressure ratings, and any other specific needs you might have to ensure you choose the right type of PVC hose for your project.
      Additionally, keep in mind that if you're dealing with extremely high temperatures or require hoses for specialized applications, other materials such as silicone or reinforced rubber hoses might be more suitable. These materials offer higher temperature resistance and can handle more demanding conditions.

      Actually I did forehead thermometer to detect scooter engine running idle mode in few month ago, I got scooter engine temperature around 90°C! Based on your suggestion, silicone hose characteristic is better than PVC hoses also it is able to match my demand, right!

      Another question is, my SYM carburetor scooter over half year that engine does not working in Taiwan! After I push scooter start motor switch and then I got some situations as below: (1) engine cylinder pressure is 126psi (2) spark plug has flash (3) fuel tank does not working to push gasoline via fuel filter out? Do you have some idea to help to fix my breakdown SYM scooter here, thanks!

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  Рік тому +1

      @@hunterchung7070Based on the information you provided, here are a few suggestions to help diagnose and potentially fix the issue with your SYM carburetor scooter:
      Fuel system check: Since you mentioned that the fuel tank is not pushing gasoline through the fuel filter, it's essential to inspect the fuel system for any possible issues. Start by checking the fuel lines for blockages or leaks. Ensure that the fuel valve is open and that fuel is reaching the carburetor. If necessary, clean or replace the fuel filter and check the carburetor for any clogs or obstructions.
      Carburetor adjustment: If the fuel system seems to be functioning properly, you may need to adjust the carburetor. The carburetor controls the air-fuel mixture going into the engine, and an incorrect adjustment can prevent the engine from starting or running smoothly. Refer to your scooter's manual for the appropriate carburetor adjustment procedure, or consider taking it to a professional mechanic for a thorough inspection and adjustment.
      Ignition system check: While you mentioned that the spark plug has a flash, it's still worth verifying the overall condition of the ignition system. Check the spark plug wire for damage and ensure it is securely connected to both the spark plug and the ignition coil. If the spark plug is old or worn out, consider replacing it. Additionally, inspect the ignition coil and other ignition system components for any issues.
      Air filter inspection: A clogged or dirty air filter can restrict airflow to the engine and affect its performance. Remove the air filter and clean or replace it if necessary. Make sure there are no obstructions in the air intake system.
      Compression test: You mentioned that the engine cylinder pressure is 126psi, which seems reasonable. However, it's worth conducting a compression test to ensure the engine's overall health. Follow the proper procedure outlined in your scooter's manual to perform a compression test. If the compression readings are significantly low or uneven across cylinders, it may indicate an internal engine problem that requires further investigation

    My scooter started leaking fuel out of the air filter ......what ya think? Check lines? Connections?

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  Рік тому +1

      A gas scooter leaking fuel out of the air filter could be caused by a few different issues:
      Carburetor Problems: The carburetor is responsible for mixing air and fuel in the correct ratio before it enters the engine. If the carburetor is dirty, clogged, or damaged, it may cause the scooter to run too rich, which can lead to fuel leaking out of the air filter.
      Float Valve Issues: The float valve controls the flow of fuel into the carburetor. If the float valve is stuck in the open position, it can cause fuel to overflow into the carburetor and out of the air filter.
      Fuel Line Problems: A cracked or damaged fuel line can cause fuel to leak out of the air filter. Additionally, if the fuel line is kinked or clogged, it can restrict the flow of fuel to the carburetor, causing it to run too lean or too rich.
      Faulty Fuel Filter: If the fuel filter is dirty or clogged, it can restrict the flow of fuel to the carburetor, which can cause the scooter to run too lean or too rich.

    • @VirberelloScooterTips

      Hello I think that placing a double filter will slow down the fuel flow going to the carburetor and that will effect performance at full throttle at speeds over 40 mph yes that petcock is universal if your scooter is having a vacuum system running on gravity fuel flow

It just seems like it's a medium to turn it on and off. My problem was always having to create a vacuum. Was thinking this would help me avoid that. But again, there's only two sides and the on off switch. Also I have a 49cc scooter. Will the one you are using work on mine?

      Hello Scott there is a possibility that when you park your scooter the side of the petcock valve with the vacuum hose that connect to the manifold is leaking fuel inside of engine cylinder after the fuel goes inside pass between the wall and the rings of the pistons and goes inside the oil but that can also work if your fuel valve is not closing when you dont run the scooter and fuel leak in the carburetor and the carb overfill and leak fuel inside the motor what you can do is to replace the petcock valve or place a fuel Switch amzn.to/2Fqn9dx and go directly to the carb from the tank and when you do not use the scooter you close the switch and the vacuum hose that now you have at the petcock you put inside a 6mm bolt to close the hose . I do have a question? I bought a brand new X-Pro 150 2022 BD150T-6 scooter. The first day it had no problems and engine ran smoothly and put 55 miles of break in time. Second day of riding it just ran out of fuel with a full tank. I let it sit for about 5 minutes and it fired up and ran about two miles smoothly and quit running again! I did this all the way home for about 7 miles. My shade tree mechanic skills are telling me there is a pinched fuel line somewhere or do you think the vacuum petcock could go bad the second day I rode it? Any help would be appreciated. I looked at my clear blue fuel line and from the fuel pump, it seems to be pulling in some air bubbles and I was wondering if that could cause the motor to sound like it's missing. Hello my friend you should not have any air bubbles inside your fuel hose because the air will build up inside the carburetor and the flow of fuel will not be consistent so the motor will not run the right way try to find the air leak at the pump or you just need to tight a hose and try again. Hello Richard many things can produce a problem like this dirty carburetor, bad electronic enricher or bad stator that when the copper coil get hot is not producing good current the fist thing I will test ac voltage of the stator with a multimeter when scooter is on and when the scooter is cold I will check for compression with a compression tester

      Hello James I think that is a dirty carburetor jet but can be a fuel valve too anyway look like the fuel is not going in the engine at this moment

    I have a question.. if you put a after market exhaust on a 50cc four stroke do I need to put a after market carb on it too? Or stock is fine?

    There is a float valve inside the carburetor no over flow to engine.

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  Рік тому

      There are several ways an overflow valve on a gas scooter can fail:
      Stuck closed: If the overflow valve becomes stuck in the closed position, it may prevent the excess pressure from escaping. This can lead to an increase in pressure within the fuel system, potentially causing damage to fuel lines.
      Stuck open: Conversely, if the overflow valve gets stuck in the open position, it can cause a constant release of fuel or gas vapors from the system. This can result in poor fuel efficiency, reduced engine performance, and possibly create a safety hazard due to fuel leakage.
      Contamination or blockage: Sometimes, debris, dirt, or other contaminants can enter the overflow valve, causing it to become stuck or obstructed. This can affect the valve's ability to function properly, resulting in incorrect pressure regulation.
      Wear and tear: Like any mechanical component, the overflow valve can wear out over time. Frequent exposure to vibrations, temperature changes, and fuel can cause the valve's internals to deteriorate, leading to failure.
      It's important to note that a failed or malfunctioning overflow valve can potentially lead to dangerous situations, such as fuel leaks, engine damage, or fire hazards. If you suspect an issue with the overflow valve or experience any abnormal behavior with your gas scooter, it is best to have it inspected and repaired by a qualified technician to ensure proper functioning and safety. Regular maintenance and checks can also help prevent potential failures and ensure the longevity of your gas scooter.
