Question.... is there another video that would show how to print off pages to be able to use this method? Or do you have to use certain paper and computer program?
I've only done simple binding for elementary school graders poetry books but I've always been intrigued with book binding! Thank you for sharing for sure!!🙂
Yes, exactly! People don't realize how hand-bound books is a labor of love! Imagine this process, but binding different size antique book and magazine pages, from XL to XS. Nicely done!!
absolutely beautiful.I have honest questions. 1. Do accidents and mistakes occur and secondly, if it does from time to time, how do you deal or for a better word, manage with and through them?
Oh. I've always been a fan of books/notebooks but in our place that kind of bookbinding can no longer be seen. I would love to create this for my own❤ thanks for sharing. Subscribed
I really want to know where you get your paper from. I've looked for hours but can't seem to find a reputable place that sells dotted at a reasonable price
huh? so would you then trim an uneven margin off the pages, or trim the pages before, and leave the open side of the pages trimmed concave? I don't think I've ever seen a book made likethis, the round spines are normally hollow.
Can someone please tell me what kind of glue you bind books with? The name. 30 years ago in high school shop class we made a pad of paper where the top page tears off, away from the glue that kind of remained as a wax or plastic... i always wondered what that kind of glue that was and assume it's the same stuff you use to bind a book.
it's recommended to use 60-80 gram paper, i think 'regular' paper is like 40 gram or something like that. So yea you'd want something a little bit sturdier but you can probably try it out with regular paper. The hammer is a kind of rubber hammer that helps put pressure when you try to form the rounded spine, it's pretty tricky doing it any other way tbh
Aapko ungali per chot lagi hai fir bhi aap hamari liye videos banaa rahe hain I love your video so much ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love this binding method. It makes the books easier to keep open while being super sturdy

Love this. Great share🎉❤
It’s a thing of beauty ❤
This is so interesting to watch, I've always looked at old books and wondered about it 😊
Hi! I love your bookbinding videos, they are sooo calming and informative. Can I please have a full tutorial for this? Thanks :)

This is my favorite type of paper marks because it has all the advantages of graph paper without being so intrusive

Beautiful work!
So beautiful SubhanAllah. I wish I could do that to my books.❤
Same, Maa shaa Allah it looks really nice
It's nice seeing someone doing this without gobs of expensive heavy equipment that requires a backyard shed.
Every birthday/Christmas since she was five years old my daughter has asked for books. Now 23 and still in college, still reading 4 to 5 books a week!
Wow it so beautiful
I should give this a try.
Fascinating. Thank you.

Will you cut the other end to remain every paper in same length??
Me alucina ver cómo se encuaderna ❤❤❤
So pretty
May I ask what the name of the cloth/product you're using for the spine and end bands is? It looks quality, and I think I'd like to do some shopping 👀
How did you get hurt?😮😮😮
Video without music, i like it

Hi! Congrats! Question: how much paper do you use per fold before sewing it? Thank you!
Normally 4 sheet of paper...
@@Marylin_Albert-Legniti thank you :))
@@Marylin_Albert-Legniti4 sheets per signature? 12 signatures? What is the gsm or weight of your paper?
80-100g per qm. Handmade books have often a high weight.
I've never subscribed so fast

Excelente trabalho!
In my 40years of existence, only now do i understand why some books have rounded spines.
what is that gauze-like sheets thing placed after she applied the glue?

My Grandmother was a bookbinder.
Question: what is the purpose of hammering the pages?
Do you have a brick packaged in brown paper?

does anyone know what the purpose of the rubber mallet is? what does it do?

I'll never be able to do this :(
What is the fabric that you used on the spine called?
Mull in traditional methods on several YT channels. There are also end pieces for the spine at the top and bottom. Comes in rolls and various widths.

I went to scool with someone named Bookbinder.
Old "lost" trade. (?)
Do you have grid notebooks like the midori notebooks?
How is your thumb now?

Which type of paper is used for inner paper
So...are the pages edges just ( now?
Where did you get the loose dot paper?
May I ask where you got your paper from?
Oooo where did you get the grid paper from?
Beautiful ❤
Where do you get the paper with the dot grid? 🤩
I printed them myself, there’s a video on my channel titled “how I source dotted paper for journals”
Can you teach me how to make dots paper?
She prints them from her printer.
Could anyone tell me where to find this kind of dotted paper ?
Lovely
Who has this kind of time? 😂 very nice work!
Ma Broski have that time
It is dot grid, a type of ruling. It gives people who do not prefer a blank page a structured but flexible option that is neither line nor graph.
So that's how you make a book!
my mind: ohhh she's making a notebook ce-uteee
What paper is that?
Wooowww can i make ?is it a special paper??? Ithink regular paper is weak but its all i have and why she used the hammer????

It's actually called bookbinder glue. You'll find it in craft shops

Usei uma costura diferente no meu caderno
Now I understand why it's bulging at the spine.

If the hold process is shown, otherwise is like nothing happened.
