I started a little over a week ago and it’s so much fun! It’s a lot but I recommend trying to learn as much as you can before going in to be better prepared. Something that helped me was watching “come to work with me” videos and they’d show you what a day was like and what kind of tasks they’d do. I also would watch videos that taught you how to make drinks and what kind of drinks they were. It’s so much fun though and you learn a lot too.

when you make drinks that you came up with, is it because customers weren't sure what to order? (sometimes I want to ask my barista to surprise me, but I wasn't sure if that was weird or not!)

And this folks is why I always order my drinks with less ice coz otherwise I would be paying $6 for a cup half filled with frozen water.
Exactly!! Same here! Mine comes with ice literally to the bottom of the cup with regular ice...just like what you see here.. its ridiculous. Actually pisses me off and made a formal complaint about it.
whenever I make drinks I try to put light ice because I feel bad about putting that much ice in, it’s crazy

I'm on my third week at a Target Starbucks, their interview questions are different than a Starbucks interview. It's all online and you record each answer on camera. Each question will allow you three tries before locking in your final video. The questions are pretty basic, asking about how you'd handle a rude customer, not getting along with a co-worker, what customer service means to you, etc. It's fairly easy and you'll have time to think of your responses.

The amount of ice that goes into those drinks... just cut the ice out and put it in a smaller cup and call it what it is. Very expensive ice.

I want to preface this comment by saying I absolutely love your video. I honestly am such a barista I couldn't stop coaching in my head 😂 literally not me mumbling to myself "that drinks underfilled" and "She's not gonna be able to get the lid on that Frappuccino, it was too full before she added whip. It's either not going on at all, or it's gonna be messy" LOL again no hate at all, I'm such a perfectionist 😂
