Designed from the ground up and incorporating a sleek, futuristic look, the latest generation ROLAND 700 incorporates many new technological developments, aimed to give printers unprecedented levels of efficiency, productivity, operation and quality.
Among these new developments are a newly designed central console with touch-screen control, a new feeder pile transport that cuts down on waste, Manrolands’ new suction belt sheet handling technology for a more even pile contour, all-new dampening units in the press, bearings that significantly reduce vibration and, when used with the sophisticated software for practice-oriented roller washing cycles, further reduces downtime. The result is enhanced productivity and print quality alongside a further lowering of production costs.

Im a minder on a 8col double coater 900 evo. All the bells and whistles on it but it always needs tlc from minders with years of experience in the trade. I pity youngsters coming through the ranks now. Its more science now than putting ink on paper

Dear sir, thanks for serving the print industry. It is a very underrated industry itself. unlike gadgets which have gone far into common people, print is everywhere and least known technology wise. Therefore press operators too are less appreciated. Nevertheless, the industry is about satisfaction than appreciation.
I love the term "master printer" they don't do anything there's no skill involved not like when I started my apprenticeship print was an art now it's a commodity

I started my apprenticeship by the age of 16 years old. Roland Parva 2 colours with no alcohol!!
I was born in 1963.
High printing skills it was to be a printer and paper was also bad quality turning sometimes a nightmare setting up the feeder. I miss so much my apprenticeship but I would love to watch the present Master printers operating the old printing machines without alcohol!! (water sleeves).
These machines are a lot more complicated than you realise
@@jimbrown4456 they are not....I've worked 4 colour machines with auto plate auto ink....it's boring not like when I first started out it was a skill to be able to print.
They never show the printed sheet of second or third job. I'm sure it's good, but..

Did someone say that there is no need to 'pull a sheet'?
david c , Someone did say no need to draw a sheet, but that relates to calibrating the color control system. On competitive or older systems, you would run the press up to color, reach target density and draw a sheet from the delivery to scan and confirm you have an "OK" sheet. Once scanned, you tell the press to take over control. That increases make-ready waste and time. With our InlineColorPilot system, the system calibrates inline and reaches target density and notifies the Printer it has reached the "OK" sheet target density. An Operator would draw the sheet but would NOT scan at the console to calibrate the system, because it's already done. To enter full production, the Printer simply switches the good sheet counter on and that's it. This is of course provided the sheet is on target. It requires the press be properly finger printed and accurate curves on plates to achieve.
@@manrolandinc Once upon a time it was a tradesmans skill. Now it's terminology and electronics. Tell me - do your 'systems' set the ink rollers as well? Change a back cylinder jacket? I doubt it.
@@dp369 Even with the new systems, it still is and will always be a tradesman skill that achieves successful print and performance. The newer systems are designed to aid the Operator of the press to achieve a quicker result with fewer steps involved through technology.
Course not because there's a risk of the printer scratching one nail. High Tech!

I ran a heidlberg 12 col carton press . single manned, ie, on my own, with all the gizmos, I used to crawl out completely knackered. I left the trade. These machines will kill you.
I've just come across this vlog and you are right,no money or conventional skill in printing anymore,I left the trade 5 years ago and I'm happy being paid £12.50ph for cleaning and mopping floors

@@АлексейХарламов-с5о я тоже раньше на sm 52 работал и Roland 505. В апреле перешёл в другую фирму, теперь печатаю на Roland 705, 2015 года.
