Our friend Anthony just used this bag in Colorado's biggest A-Tier, and will have a review up today as well if you're interested in a more technical take: www.youtube.com/@BodanzaDiscGolf 🤘
Jesse, Thank you so much for everything you do for the sport! Trash Panda and the Inner Core were major inspirations behind Renu and the EcoPack1. We hugely appreciate this review, the feedback, and the crazy cool decision to forgo an affiliate commission to give everyone a bigger discount to help us get off the ground. We hope to inspire other companies to focus on sustainability the way you have. - Andrew, Zach, & Ben
Another testament to durability: many indoor drumline programs use old billboards as floor surfaces for rehearsal/performance. People march all over them (with shoes on) for many hours per week, multiple seasons in a row, and they never seem to tear or get super worn out. You have me intrigued Jesse, thanks for sharing this brand with the community!
What you said in the beginning about following a product with a story. You are the first person/company that I have done that specifically for. Since then I have actively done that with other aspects of my life. So thank you! As for the bag, insta buy once I can comfortably fit my nalgene! I love the randomness that comes with the colors and such. Really cool.
I have installed billboards and that material is super beefy! The amount of force used to stretch them and resist the wind is impressive. Very durable material
Brilliant. @Renu Disc Golf -- You guys should make some storage/practice bags for discs and/or basket covers, too! I need both of those things but can't bring myself to drop the $$, and I think it'd be awesome to have unique basket covers. -That's my two cents, I'll keep an eye out for something LOUD.
Thank you for the feedback! As Jesse mentioned, we are a new company and had to start somewhere. We definitely plan to continue adding to our selection. Love the basket cover idea!
So glad Renu got the Trash Panda cosign of approval. I was already gonna buy one when I learned about it from Bodanza. This is exactly why companies like yours and AGL are so important
I have been carrying an old innova bag with back pack straps since 08 and I just ordered one of these with your promo code thank you very much , my first back pack style bag .
@ Jesse: Let's get one to UA-cam bag reviewer Doth Savek for a second opinion. TBH if the putter pocket comes with that 80s Atari sound every time I pull my disc in/out........I'M ALL IN!!!!!!!!!
I watched this video shortly after it released. I ordered one right away. Just came in the mail today! I’m stoked to fill it up and try it out for awhile.
My dad has worked on billboards for years. Those are crazy tough. He would bring them home and we used them for boat covers and all kinds of stuff. Even used one as a temporary roof covering while we remodeled the house. 😂. Now days he does mostly digital work.
heck yeah Wisconsin! As soon as I saw the bag I got really exited, recycled billboards are a pretty unique look and with that, I suppose most bags will be unique too! With wind chills, we definitely hit that cold. In central Wisco we can hit easily -20F to 100F throughout the year. I've always wanted to go play in the Sheboygan area, I wonder if Renu has a physical shop? I would love to get hands-on with one of these! I hope they can accommodate for larger bottle holders in future. I carry a lot of water, usually my 40oz bottle for a round of 18 isn't enough water for me, so that's a high priority for me in a bag.
Reminds me of People of Urban Progress, or PUP, here in Indy. When the RCA Dome, the former home of the Indianaaplois Colts, was being torn down, the white "dome" material had no planned use. So they started making bags, wallets, yearly Chirstmas ornaments out of the white material. According to their site, they used up around 13 acres of the material! This idea from Renu is awesome too!
This bag reminds me of what this huge bag company in Europe (maybe Switzerland) does. They take the recycled truck tarp rubber that covers the back of big trucks. Every single bag has a different pattern to it and they are made to last forever. Hooooly crap. I didn’t even finish the video before putting in my comment but I’m literally in Sheboygan WI as a type this!!! Came up here for work.
$65 shipping to Canada! Sorry, I just can’t do it. Hopefully the bag will be sold by a Canadian retailer some time soon. Awesome idea and a fantastic way to reuse some material that otherwise be tossed. I’m sure American disc golfers will buy all the stock. There are many that are sold out already. Good luck!
I was already pretty much sold on buying one already with not knowing they are literally 10 minutes from my house but your spot light has me sold. Thanks Jesse! Also what should I do with the other 5 bags I have right now 😅😅😅
Was waiting for something like this to hit the market!! Hell Yeah! ** the bottle pockets should use zipper and let you change them out for different sizes or pockets.
Ordered. I'd just been considering stepping up to a backpack style bag given how frequently we've been able to get to a course, will enjoy the extra "stuff" capacity more than anything even if I don't end up carrying many more discs. TBD if it'll still fit in the "frunk" of one of the cars, lol.
Where can I find this bag? A quick google search just brought me back to a few UA-cam videos reviewing the bag. I think this would be a great bag for my gf who is just getting into disc golf.
if only the code was for "18%" off. Great bag, and glad that you're doing a review on it. I agree, the story about a product will get me to purchase more often than not.
I like the bags ergonomics, but I am not a fan of recycled banner material. Yes it will last with moderate use, but it is not made to stretch like you want it too. That is unless you’re using it to advertise for short term which is what it’s designed. Expect the material to feel extremely tight and unmoving to the point of brittle when the temps drop. Then when it’s hot, that’s when the material will stretch 1-3% depending on the temperature. And once it does stretch, it will hold that stretch, not going back to normal. The colors are digitally printed and are made for short term use and advertising. For the material itself, you can get a roll in many colors fairly cheap per linear yard. You can even get stretch banner or what’s called “stretch face” which is decently priced as well. So it still boggles the mind to use recycled (aged) banner material for an 100.00 bag. Maybe it’s the gimmick trend we’ve been watching on newer products to help them for immediate sells, but long term I hope they find a better and more user friendly option. I still like the look, the shape and the pockets. Love me some pockets. Good luck folks
Cup holders always seem to be forgotten about... if they make them bigger, that's almost a guarnteeded purchase for me. Good for my back, good for the environment, and good on my wallet.
Why would you carry a disc in multiple plastics if they have the same weights? Wouldn’t they generally fly similar, and if not then why not always throw the premium?
Time for you to make a bag. Scraps from sails would be cool. I have a revolutionary idea for design feature that I'll give you for a chance to invest.💰
I can attest to the durability. No, I do not have one of these bags, but I do have a large tote from an Adult Swim special screening from a film festival I worked some 15yrs ago. I used to carry board games in it to conventions, if that says anything to the strength of recycled billboards.
Frankly I personally think I should go with a bigger bag ... Since I tend to have more hoarder habits than I like to admit. Though realistically I think most if not all courses I've played, if be fine with that bag.
Bag is cool but the suspension system is kinda basic compared to bags of the same price. Looks like a less comfortable version of a dynamic discs trooper. No sternum strap, no load lifters, straps look kinda thin and not very cushy. (Based on looks, but those are the things I value.) for the price the storage is pretty hype though. Price genuinely shocked me till I saw the suspension!
I think you should re-edit this video cause every time you said the bag can hold 18 discs, you kept displaying "15*" on the screen. Then right after seeing that twice, you said you played disc golf for 15 years, you should display "18*" on the screen. 😅😁
you really cant just go making this whole video and NEVER not ONCE tell me WTF are those yellow discs???? Are they inner cores?? def need one. are they the new mid??? I need 5! Tell me.... why you leave me hanging....what are those?!?!
Kastaplast does not. But a bunch of the team uses European Birdies Frid (By Josef Berg and others) that by using 4 letters in the name fits right into the =K= line. Not recycled, more like "pure premium maxxed out".
Starts immediately with the kinds of things people say when they're trying to sell something bland..."it's not the product it's the story behind it" Immagine if you were on an airplane, and a little kid started kicking your chair from behind. When you turn around to ask the parents to do something about it, all they want to do is talk about is how much fun it was to make a kid, while the kid keeps kicking your chair.

I've been eagerly waiting for someone to review this bag. How apt that it was you. Excited to see the disc golf community get behind this initiative.
Can we talk about how genuine it was when he said “so rad” yes I was cackling slightly
Heck yea! Love the idea. Let's reuse as much as we can.

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for restocking the hats. It took me a minute, but I got one. Looking forward to the midrange. Have a good one.
Jesse wanting to take a discount code instead of an affiliate link…that’s why Trash Panda is my favorite disc golf company. You all are the best

No cooler???!!?? PLEASE ADD A COOLER??? 😢
A larger bag with a cooler is in the grand plan for sure!
I’m holding out for a bag made from recycled hobo clothes.
An ultimate (frisbee) bag made from the same process has existed for 15 years...same company???
The 4 up top isn't revolutionary. Innova super hero bag has the same concept.
I don’t get why disc golf bags always have such tiny bottle pockets…
Should git two tall boys just fine 🍻
Just name, names. Not a big deal?
I applaud the idea, but it kinda looks like it is made out of duct tape. Ok, but if I saw someone carrying it, I would think it was homemade.
