It occurs to me that since Steve was there to rescue Rudy, who’d been kidnapped by a gang that wanted him to build a bionic man for them, and this fight was arranged to test the strength of Steve’s bionics, his best play after being kicked by Pierre would have been to stay down, motionless, for five minutes, then start having seizures, then crapping his pants and crying like a baby. And the kidnappers would be like “Damn, Rudy, your bionics SUCK. Get the hell out of here and don’t come back.” Mission accomplished.
Great action sequence! First time I'd ever heard of the French art of Savate. Then another reference in the Logan's Run novel. Interesting, one of the few non-Asian martial arts with a strong kicking component.
I can remember re-enacting this scene after it was first shown on TV back in the 70s in the school playground with some other kids who were also fans of the show, including the martial arts voices as well as all of the lines, pretty much word for word but one of the kids slightly messed it up in a way that was hilarious when I look back. Instead of saying "Master of the French art of Savate" he just said "Master of French arts" 🤣. I think he just forgot what the man said exactly, and so did I until I saw it again, to be honest.
Once Yamo joins the fight, the only person holding a gun is one of the kidnappers, and he's clumsily holding ALL the guns, none of them at the ready. No one else is armed. Why is Steve throwing the henchmen around in the snow like it's fun and games? Just chuck a henchman (preferably Pierre, because of his amazing sounds) at the guy with the guns. Guy with guns knocked out = Steve and Rudy are free to go. In the immortal words of Pierre, "Howaaaayyyaaaooowwwaaaaooowww."
One of my all time favorite episodes. I always wondered who the hulking mute was. He reminds me a little of an overbeefed up, oversized version of Patrick Duffy. All I know is that his character's name is Yamo. You'd almost think he was bionic with his strength. wonder if he did any other kind of acting work.
The fight scenes were so corny (especially by today's standards), yet you can't help but watch anyway. The first season of that show will always remain my favorite.
Shakeel Ahmef Yeah. Is tgat the one with George Foreman and the fight in the boxing ring at the end? The music was brilliant also that episode. I remember as a 7 year old thinking how heroic Steve was. Great memories . . .
Really is there any good show I missed? If it did not seem to have any action I would skip. I saw both Seven Million Dollar Man episodes. All of the Oscars as a robot or thembot. All Bigfoots except 5. All Bionic Woman crossovers. Dr. Wells is Missing. All Robot Makers. So did I miss any good ones with action?
@@classic1971 I don't think it was an error.....just a jokey hint.....towards the end of the episode Steve kicked him into a tree and you heard robotic effects as if Yamo was a robot....but he wasn't....
The phone mic makes the martial art voices sound extra hilarious.
Classic episode along with the mad Professor Dolenz . Return of the Robot Maker and Run Steve Run.
I just came across it. I think I love the series already.

Non stop action series enjoyed watching

i would love to get the song to this it's really good
Yamo has the bionic sound effect because he was as strong as Steve, even without bionics. Great attention to detail!
I was wondering if they had experimented on Yamo, and he has a little something inside of him.
I am just watching it. I was so surprised to see Vienna. I immediatly recognized the Airport. No Idea about the city. That looks like a stage.

Muito bom mesmo era show de bola 👌👏👏😂😂
I always did like the Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman. I think I saw every episode of those shows

Actually I think he looks more like a beefed-up oversize version of the late Dick Sargent (the second Darrin).

Yamo, what a swine. Attacking with a weapon, and from behind. I'm big enough and strong enough now, so come on Yamo.
Not to mention, how does he rip out a light pole that I assume is bolted down in 4 corners? LOL.
He doesn't even need to be made bionic (a cyborg). Makes the kidnapping of Rudy pointless and unnecessary. Still one of my favorite episodes.
Lee Majors was perfect for this role since he'd been a college football player some good at running
Yes! You missed al least 2 episodes IMHO: "Look Alike" and "One of our Running Backs is Missing", both with excellent fighting final scenes!
Savate: Grab a leg, take them to the ground. Game over.
Oliver Nelson's music? awesome
Nelson died, unfortunately, in October 1975, and I think part of the magic of that show died along with him.
The best doctor wells by far
He's my second-favorite. Martin Balsam the original is my favorite.
pierre is an expert in the french art of savate
if his names really pierre im rosa parks.
That black man 😂😂😂
Did you notice that he pushes himself farther?
Pierre? whooooooooooy...
The sound tracks got so much better by the 2nd and 3rd seasons...
The fight scenes were so corny (especially by today's standards), yet you can't help but watch anyway. The first season of that show will always remain my favorite.
Jim Shane played Yamo
Lookalike was very good episode Steve Austin faces Steve Austin
Shakeel Ahmef
Yeah.
Is tgat the one with George Foreman and the fight in the boxing ring at the end?
The music was brilliant also that episode.

How many times is the black dude gonna get launched in that tree....watch out for the sap
I can no longer watch this video or the other two (except for when I'm signed-in) since they're being BLOCKED in my country.
RIP david cass🙏🏻
Kurt,...Vincent...?
steve could have kick them all in the nuts and game over LOL
Yamo here is played by Jim Shane; not much about him on the internet
He also played the giant steam-powered robot in the Wild Wild West episode "The Night of Miguelito's Revenge." Scared me to death as a kid!
Who's the master...Sho nuff

Bionic sound effect for Yamo. Limited budget. Whenever super strength was used the sound effect was used whether the person was bionic or not.
why did Yamo's attack have the bionic sound affect?
Good question, don't know! It SHOULDN'T since he's NOT bionic, NOR a robot (android; humanoid robot).
Wondered that to. Editing error?

Que bueno que esta'
"Que bueno que esta'" = "Good thing it's''.
That Savate guy has never done a lick of martial art in his life.
My wife has kicked me better than that!
Complètement débile le STEEVE!! Y A SÛREMENT DES BOULES DE FEU QUI LUI SORTAIENT DU CU ,NON ? 🤣
