Lisa, I have only watched your videos over the last year. You are a very sweet, sincere and loving person who I can tell wants to please everyone. You are beautiful inside and out and doing a 5 videos a week, is a lot. You have a lot on your plate right now and I am sure the stress is playing a big part with your health. To be honest you looked great before the weight loss.......you need to take care of you:)

I'm right there with you, I started carnivore back in July and have lost 45 lbs. That was just a plus because I started this journey to reverse my diabetes. Currently off all my insulins and oral meds, my doctor has me coming in every 3 months to monitor me and I've been on a continuous glucose monitor and my numbers have been running from 80's to 90's. If she's happy with my A1C this December I can say I'm no longer a diabetic. You do what works for you and keep on going.

I found a good recipe with cabbage, it's the cabbage pancake:
    3 eggs
    1/2 cabbage
    1/2 cup shredded carrot
    1-2 chopped capsicum
    1 onion
    a little flour (1 Tbls)
Press into a pan with olive oil and cook 5-10 mins then turn over.
You can add or subtract any veges with the cabbage.
I find it very filling and it does not upset my stomach. You can add mayonnaise on top also.
    Hope this finds you well

I’ve been feeling better since cutting back on cheese, heavy dairy products, and breads. I have also been drinking a bit of apple cider vinegar with lemon mixed in water every morning. I think creating a more acidic stomach is helping me with breaking down food better. Thanks for all the great tips you share, have a blessed day.

Oh I totally agree with you. It’s funny how when we’re young, we seem to try to be as thin as we can get ... but as we grow older, it seems we actually look much more “youthful” and so much softer/more beautiful with a little more weight on us. Without it, you’re right, that gaunt, skin-and-bones look isn’t very attractive as we get older:/

Hey Lisa, First off I love all your videos and you look beautiful! I just wanted to tell you about my IBS that I have seemed to conquer. In 2010 I went on the prevention magazine flat belly diet and the four day cleanse I gave up diet Coke for the first time in my life. I always had a Diet Coke 2 to 3 times a day for years after I gave it up I had no gastro intestinal issues at all. Now I only have it as a treat and have no more stomach issues

Lisa, the video you published on Aug 12 caught my attention and I watched. Then I watched every other video pertaining to the same subject. On Aug 14 I started Keto. I have Lupus and have been truly suffering with such intense pain for close to 10 years. Around day 4-6 I noticed that for one, I wasn’t really hungry and two, I had missed a dose of pain Med!!! I found that to be odd but dismissed it at first. After 3 weeks on keto, I stopped taking one of my pain meds altogether!!! Now, I do still take the other one and I do still take Aleve with it, but everything has changed for me. My energy levels are soooo much better and I’m back to walking 3-5 miles everyday!!!! It’s been just over 2 months that I’ve been doing this and I lean mostly to carnivore now. It’s just easier for me. Which is super crazy because I’ve been vegetarian for the last 2 or so years! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Lol. I’ve lost 20.4 lbs!!! And I know I’ve said this in another video, but Lisa, you really and truly have changed my life. My husband has diabetes and was on Levemir 65units nightly and increasing almost daily. Today? He is only taking 10 units and we have to monitor carefully because his glucose drops very low! This morning was 41. We are confident he will be taken off of insulin at the end of The month! You may not realize your impact, but take it from me, you are making a difference to a whole lot of us!!! I feel so guilty just saying thank you. I wish I had another way to express my gratitude & appreciation! Much love. ❤️

I have all the same symptoms as you Lisa, and it all started with the menopause. I started Keto back in May as well, never felt as good. I’m a long distance runner most of my life, and the difference it made to my running was unbelievable. My health improved I had less joint pain. Don’t know what happened but I got so stressed over another lockdown here in Ireland, I went crazy on the sugar, and of course I feel crap. So I have decided to go back on my ketogenic lifestyle again, it’s the only thing I have ever found to work for my health problems. Here in Ireland we are in a very strict lockdown for the next six weeks, everything is closed. I’m going to try and not let it get me down. The covid Numbers are very high, higher then back on March, it’s scary.

It sounds like you need to heal your gut Lisa....you have cut out the offending substances but now you need to heal. Have you tried taking glutamine or even colostrum? Are you taking any HRT...the stomach has oestrogen receptors so menopause in sensitive people can definitely trigger this problem. If you have no risk for breast cancer, then some bio-identical HRT may really help your stomach problems.

What a journey you are on. So happy to hear you are getting some relief and hopefully it will continue and get better. Have you done any research on a kinesiologist? Its an interesting practice, non traditional, that can unlock things in our bodies that others don’t identify. It’s been life saving for me. Best to you.

Sauerkraut is a fabulous pro-biotic. I will make kielbasa, crisp it up a bit around the edges, put the sauerkraut over the kielbasa and let the meat juices permeate the sauerkraut then serve with mashed potatoes. Love fresh spinach omelettes too. Also love the grilled shrimp scampi style.

Lisa, have you tried carnivore without the fiber supplements? I have been carnivore since January 2020 and Keto since June 2019 and feel so much better. I dropped the fiber supplements sometime in 2019 and never looked back.
You look fantastic. Thank you for sharing. ❤️👍

Lisa, I feel so bad for you for all that you have gone through with your health/menopause issues. So happy that you found through reading and researching that the carnivore diet works well for you. Please know that taking a break from videos (even though I am loving them!) if that helps your stress level, with all that you are going trough now then please do. You are such a sweet and kind soul and I hate seeing you in any pain. Hugs and kisses to sweet Brigette. xoxo

3 day old hair?! What! My first thought on this video was you got a blow out, and you're hair looks beautiful! I sense a little hesitation about you're diet and what people think and I know habits die hard but please, keep it up and stay with that attitude you started to develope. I appreciate you. You're MAC lipstick video was so fun and it reminded me on one of my favorite videos you've done, the nail polish, memory lane, you're fav. Those are great. Try and do another. Xxxxoooi

Oh, Lisa- this sounds exactly like what I’ve been dealing with for years now! It has been SO discouraging and painful and embarrassing! I recently started ketovore (but mostly carnivore) and all my symptoms disappeared. It’s literal magic! 🙌🏼 I’m 47 and early post-menopausal. My body has changed so much in the past 2 years- and not in a cute way. 😞 Thank you for sharing all that you do! You are so inspiring to me!! I’m going to try cabbage and kielbasa and think of your Mama. ❤️

Thanks for the update. I decided that I would start Keto. I am doing it for weight loss. I don't have that much to lose. Maybe 10lbs. These are post menopause lbs. Anyway my doctor said it was fine. You inspired me to try it even though I know yours was primarily for health. I have been hating how my body is looking and covid hasn't helped. My exercise routine changed so much because I could not use my gym. Anyway you are looking great and remember its your body and you need to do what works for you.

Lisa, i think there's definitely something more to your eating issues and would say you definitely need a second opinion. I have Crohns and stress is a major factor for me. I got my first really serious flare up (and hospitalisation) when I was in my final year of university and under a lot of pressure. My second, much worse, flare up came a couple of years later when I was struggling to find full time employment and was feeling very lost in life. Thankfully now that I'm on medication and life is more stable things are so much better. I still have flare ups but nothing nearly as bad as before. I can even eat some things now that I couldn't before! Sending lots of love xxx

Hi Lisa, have you considered seeing a naturalistic holistic doctor? They are more about eastern medicine and try to push on more natural things to take. I am seeing one and have gone to him twice this week for kidney stones and for other health problems I have. They are so good at explaining things and how so many of these sicknesses start in the gut. For example, I know this might sound crazy but a lot of these mental illnesses like anxiety and depression start in the gut. A lot of times anxiety and depression can be a deficiency in vitamins such as Vitamin D. I encourage you to look into this. I pray you stay healthy. God bless you. 💛

Hi Lisa! I started a carnivore/Keto diet about 4 days ago. I have lost 4 lbs so far but I am experiencing a drop of energy during my day that I did not have before I started dieting. I was a big carbohydrate eater
I have completelt cut out of breads, any starchy foods and sugar
Did you go thru any of that when you first went on carnivore? Carbs give you energy so I may have cut my carbs too much. I enjoy your videos and you were a great influence on me to diet. I am 72 years old and that could also have something to do with it. Thanks!!

You look great 😊 Lisa!! Keep listening to your body & be your own “chemist” it does change. I have no cravings and even though I eat a good amount of protein, carbs and moderate fats but it took me a while to get there.....my body needing a satisfying amount of right macros consistently day in day out for a long time and I can’t remember the last time I really really wanted something without wanting to eat even more. I love ❤️ it!

I have been drinking “ketones”/“ketone esters,” from the company “ketoaid” and “MSW nutrition” website, instead of coffee/stimulating drink. I take only 1 ml, only after fasting/workout. There is a protocol you have to follow when use them. Don’t use them outside fasting, you may feel bad.

Lisa, I have ulcerative colitis and it took me 10 years to cure it myself. My GI never believed I could and told me it was incurable. I had it so bad I can't even talk about it, but I believe IBS is just a stage on the continuum and I am glad you are not taking anyones advice but you own on figuring out what works. I know from my experience that if you can read you own body and do what makes it heal, you are doing the best you can. On a fun note, your Mac lipstick clean out inspired me to do the same and now I have 7 for back to Mac plus I was going to buy Velvet Teddy only to find out I already had one! That makes me realize I have too many lipsticks, lol :o) oxJulia

I’ve been doing keto since mid-August and I eat lots of eggs too. In the morning I make “chaffles”, which is an egg and mozzarella. I make a sweeter version by adding some almond flour, vanilla and Swerve sweetener. Recommend avocado oil on grilled stuff. Olive oil has a lower smoke point and degrades over 500 degrees.
