  • British & Irish Lions Rugby Tour 2017 Funny Moments Conor Murray Elliot Daly Stuart Hogg Adam Jones, with Whyte and Mackay Scotch Whisky whyteandmackay... Rugby players from the 4 nations became one team as the British and Irish Lions prepared to take on the mighty New Zealand All Blacks in the 2017 Lions Tour. Watch and listen as these rivals smooth things over in time for the tour. The players are: Stuart Hogg (Scotland); Conor Murray (Ireland); Elliot Daly (England); and Adam Jones (Wales). Don’t forget to watch the whole video or you’ll miss Adam Jones looking resplendent in the kilt. In the words of Whyte & Mackay - “The British & Irish Lions are famous for taking the very best rugby players from across the four nations and combining them into the perfect blend - an ethos not all too dissimilar from Whyte & Mackay's own. To celebrate our partnership with the Lions, we've signed up current players Stuart Hogg, Conor Murray and Elliot Daly and ex-Lion Adam Jones as our ambassadors throughout the games. Watch as they put past rivalries behind them and smooth things over (for the duration of the tour only), finding common ground through some long (perhaps overdue) questions.” Whyte & Mackay was founded in 1844 in Glasgow by James Whyte and Charles Mackay. Along with their eponymous W&M blended Scotch whiskies, the company owns: Dalmore; Jura; and Fettercairn single malts; Glayva liqueur; and Vladivar Vodka. The ownership of this famous brand has changed hands a number of times with current owner Philippines-based Emperador Inc. acquiring the business on 31 October 2014. However, staying true to their roots, Whyte and Mackay are still headquartered in Glasgow.
