J Dilla t shirt, you just became the coolest fitness UA-camr
Definitely agree!
By the time I get to phoenix dp, you just became the coolest commenter.
shoutout injury reserve, saw them live recently
I was about to say the same thing! It got a subscribe from me.
Great video for rugby players whose requirement for dynamic trunk control is unmatched in open sports. All the tackling and running of gridiron, the kicking of soccer, the bent over position of wrestling in the scrum, and rotational requirements of baseball players while passing
Baseball players don't "pass". Did you mean "throwing"?
@@MrEazyE357 when you pass a ball you rotate your hips and swing your arms across your body the same way you swing a bat.
@@thomaslinkas7476 yep that’s why a lot of NFL QBs u see also played pitcher or shortstop
@@MrEazyE357 pretty sure Babe Ruth passed a few decades ago but sure
Using this secret for boxing and kickboxing.
hi,dan I'm a personal coach from China, Thanks Garage Strength help me improve my knowledage, I m really like your channel, hope u guys better🎉
9:20 - the ab exercise with the med ball and the v-up with the bar are great ideas! I do BJJ and I am always looking for exercises that will give me the core strength and coordination I need for those scrambles during rolls.
Definitely one of your best videos for a while, providing exercise solutions and how they relate directly/inderectly to various sports, !!!
@8:00 You’re welcome.
Grappling and striking sports require an unreal core, for both defense and offense. Wish you had brought up these athletes. Bruce Lee discussed this and more in his Tao of Jeet Kune Do. That being said this was an awesome video. Subbing for personal research.
He brings up wrestling specifically at 9m30s.
@@psychoshonen I guess I should have waited,lol. I did hear that then.
@@jima6545 don't worry, the channel is well worth it for grappler, strikers, and martial artists of all varieties. Always something to learn!
just found your channel the other day...I used to be a trainer and I really enjoy your content bc it isnt gimmicky and you explain things really well.
@7:40 for the secret to core strength
Pleasantly surprised you referenced "batsmen in cricket". Subscribed and signed up, almost of the back of that, I think.
Shout out to your editor! Awesome videos! Thanks for all the content you're putting out there. Very informative and entertaining. Ps 14:50 the boom is required for maximum results
A great example of implementation of truck control. Thank you coach!
The. Core is the connection between the legs and arms the anterior and posterior oblique sling of the fascia runs over it
so glad I came across this video, thank you for the knowledge and exercise's. Will definitely be incoperating these!
Exactly what I needed 🔥🔥🔥
Just when I thought you didn't mention combat sports enough, you impress me with your punch technique. Awesome !
Hey pls do a video on why do we shake while doing strength training (overhead press) and what to do then ?
Big fan 👌👌🇮🇳
It's probably from having a weak trunk and lifting too heavy. Squeeze ya abs next time ya do overhead presses
It's probably from having a weak trunk and lifting too heavy. Squeeze ya abs next time ya do overhead presses
Stop trying to micromanage every single detail and inventing problems to solve. We shake because it's hard. Keep lifting and stop focusing on nonsense.
Thank you! Listening to and getting thought of so much knowledge for free feels like stealing. Thanks for the great content!
After 3rd time the “dynamic trunk control” lyric got me every time 😂😂😂
your videos get a lot of views, but not as many as they should. As a Chiropractor who places a lot of emphasis on rebuilding movement patterns to create a resilient spine that is at a lower risk for injury, some of the exercises I have seen on your videos are unique and I have never seen. Keep up the good work. Also, do you have a strength training program specific towards athletes that you sell?
Absolutely. We have specific sport programs, custom programs, and we are releasing an A.I. strength program app specific to athletes in the next few weeks called Peak Strength. Here is our website www.garagestrength.com/
@@GarageStrength Awesome! Thanks. I have history with bodybuilding, powerlifting, and crossfit. I mostly am BJJ focused now and I Feel like the focus I have done on eccentric loading of the core as well as olympic lifts and hip exercises has helped my wrestling greatly. I will probably try the wrestling specific one since I am mostly focused on BJJ currently.
@@thatonebuffguy13 We do have BJJ specific programs if that helps 💪💪
@@GarageStrength Sweet! I may try that first and then jump on the wrestling. Probably whichever is harder and more explosive is what I would want to do!
Time to add some of these into my workout routines 💪🏼 Subscribed
I‘m not sure but I think this video is about dynamic trunk control.
Dude wish I was in the PA Area would love to let you get my son in shape for this offseason.
Thanks!
Oh my god, thank you! It was interesting from the beginning to the end! 🎉
Amazing the rotation reminds me of functional patterns Dane please do a video on FUNCTIONAL PATTERNS I’m interested to see what you have to say about that style if training
thanks for the suggestion!
I thought the same thing.
Thank you for keeping fighters in mind when in come to dynamic truck control coz back then i watch ur vid but very few and mostly no mention for fighers.
Plus for the dilla shirt
You explain things well. This is a great channel. Salute.

I guess mikes power comes from DTC because if you look at him you can really see how controlled he is Changing his position
Gold. Thank you.
Great quality video, just subbed
I liked to have laughed like a loon when he interspliced the vid clip of the brutha with the Jheri-Curl getting his pelvic thrusts on while moving side to side.
8:13 Lol, nothing like the ability to laugh at yourself. Excellent video btw. Valuable info
Why lots of fitness influencers such as Greg Doucette stand for "no core training" whatsoever? I think is the most important muscle group on our body (heart aside), and it's confusing me. Do I train core or not?
If you want to train core go ahead bro, all this "don't train this train that" shit is quite schewpid. Most of the times they say "don't train core" is because they either don't have the time or they don't care about core strength as much. If you want a strong core you have to train it.
You use your core with every movement you do. This includes walking, breathing, talking. So I would argue it is the second most important muscle to train, most important being the heart.
Greg is saying if you want to be aestheticly pleasing then avoid your core as you'll lose some of the pyramid shape. If ultimate girl is to pick up women then leave the abs, they'll build enough to be attractive through other workouts, if you're ultimate goal is longevity then your car and heart should be your main concerns.
@@jordanbowey4175 thank you for sharing your thoughts, Jordan!
Greg is a bodybuilder and training purely for aesthetics, not strength or performance. If your training for those, you definitely want to train your core.
Great Content 👍🏻🖤
Very good, thank you
Came for the info, subbed for the J Dilla t shirt.
Great video!
love your knowledge

Best video ever!!
I look forward to trying that med ball sideways jump variation. My fav DTC excises I use at the moment is the staggered stance pallof with explosive rotation and controlled eccentric
Between the Big L and J Dilla tees, this guy must be a REAL Hip Hop fanatic.
Thanks man - also, cool tee
would the med ball side jump (11:40) be useful for basketball players?
Yes. He says you should do them after the side bends
How can person do these if your born without legs / paralyzed ?
When will you have the bands restocked??
Am watching because I saw you wearing the 🇳🇬 Nigerian flag, because am Nigerian and Yoruba to be precise
cool points for the Dilla shirt
If you are already interested in training your core and just looking for the exercise examples, you can skip the first 8minute or so.

DYNAMIC TRUNK CONTROL
I feel like commenting dynamic trunk control
11:05 correction: the rest of the world hates the term 'soccer', not only Europe, love ur input tho!
Does this work with mid-distance athletes like 800m (technically not over 2 minutes of activity so still not aerobic based) and 1500m?
hi Dane tell me after a knee injury can t fullytrain and i feel that endurance has deteriorated tell me how to raise it without harming the knee i am engaged in freestyle wrestling
You need to get over to KneesOverToesGuy's channel like right now. He'll teach you how to fix your knee.
Hi Coach, any chance of a "how to train for racquet sports" video in the works?
thanks for the suggestion!
J DILLA T-SHIRT LETSGOOO
Where in the Sam Hell did you find that video of the black Richard Simmons 😂
The secret to core strength is, do core exercises every day and change them after a month. Simple as that!
@gifaek i will give you an example. After 8-10 months i could do 1000 crunches and leg raises, but when i would try to do lots of reps toe's to bar i couldn't. Like every muscle they need diferent movement to grow in strength and mass. There are no shortcuts and easy tips just hard work!
J Dilla!

J DILLA!

Nice t-shirt.

we're starting a trend! haha
You apparently have great taste in music, judging from your shirt, good sir
That was actually Michael L. Robinson (aka Michelle Obama) directing that aerobics class seen at the beginning of this video, FYI
What’s your thoughts on the shake weight? 😂
hahaha might not be a bad video LOL
That shirt though. My man!
Reactive core 👍
I'll listen to anyone wearing a J Dilla shirt.
