NBA players are playing into their 40's and lasting a lot longer so I don't understand Dalton's age being a problem.
Kel'el Ware played very well. I watched all the games. That kid has gotten a raw deal from the media
Knecht's high-side comp is Dan Majerle.
Dalton Knecht is who I want the most, Clingan seems intriguing as well.

Kel’el Ware has a lot of upside he fits today games as a modern day 5 and he could play 4 due to his shooting.
I wouldn’t have a problem taking Ware if we trade down
Kinchet same thing he probably the most ready player in this draft. He has a high floor and his ceiling might not be that great compared to the other guys but he has played a lot of basketball so he going to pick things up faster. Due to his age and experience he the perfect win now player for Ime also he can shoot the lights off the basketball.
As for Cody Williams I like him but again we already have have too many wings not to mention he going to have to gain some muscle. Also he hasn’t took enough jump shots like Madison if he wants to reach his potential he going to have to shoot the ball more

Great pod guys. I don't like Ware. I like his size and skillset, but I don't care how nice the car looks if it's got a crappy motor. Cody Williams would be a good pick in a trade down situation. I think he has great upside. I've seen many picking him as a late lottery pick, but I don't see him falling outside the top 10. look for SA to take him at 8. even tho I like Cody, he dupilcates players we already have. now lets get to my favorite in this group. Dalton Knecht is a player I would even consider at #3. this guys reminds me of a more physically gifted Klay Thompson. I watched Tenn this year and was impressed with him. since he was the focal point of Tenn's offense teams game planed to control him and he still got off. I believe he hands down is the best shooter in this draft. YES he is an older prospect, but he is the type of player who can help us NOW. he can shoot from anywhere and HE KNOWS HOW TO GET HIS SHOT. trading back and getting this guy would be a steal IMO. if I were the Rocket brain trust I would be dicussing this possibility with Portland right now. I would bet that it's a good bet that if Clingan isn't drafted 1 or 2 the Rockets have some kind of agreement in the works with Portland and may be targeting this guy about which I wouldn't be the least bit upset

Rockets' best bet would be to put together a trade package with POR for the 7th and 14th picks. Dalton Knecht and Kel'el Ware should be their targets.
Where's the win now player? Knecht? I mean if you truly believe he's a win now player why not take him at 3? (What if you trade back and he's gone?)
14 in this draft has very little value relative to the player you could get at 3.

Ware has showed up from 9 to low 20s on most mock drafts but I see the value of him in the lottery after seeing how the Celtics have centers with a lot of length Al Horford 7 foot wingspan and Portzingus 7’6” and they can shoot 3 pointers at a high percentage. If Portland wants the 3rd pick I would trade for 7 and 14 and take Ware at 14 and Knecht at 7 or another player.

Dalton Knecht is who I would aim for. Lethal movement shooter who can put the ball on the floor, and has the size to be able to defend (6'6", 213lbs).
Definitely ideal fit based on team needs. If they trade back to 7-9 range, I'm sure he'll be BPA. If not, I'll just go ahead and settle for Stephon Castle

That’s ridiculous. Castle can’t shoot and will probably have handle issues. It would be like drafting Amen two years in a row.
I was saying draft Castle in BPA scenario IF Dalton isn't there. I like Castle's intangibles and winning pedigree. I think he's a real blue collar, do whatever it takes to win, kinda guy. Those kinda players are conducive to winning tbh

Dalton is the BPA at the #3 pick. I wouldn’t touch Castle. He was a great blue collar guy on the college level but he’s not worth a top ten lottery pick for the Rockets. We need a guy who can get buckets.
Getting Reed at 3 makes more sense. I'd only consider drafting Dalton in trade back scenarios. It'd be too much of a reach for him at 3. They're both projected in 7-9 range... and, tbh, Castle kinda gives me Jimmy Butler vibes. That's his comp to me. Think back to the Bulls days when the young Jimmy was coming off the bench making a name for himself. It didn't take long for him to become a budding star 🤷🏾♂️. I think Dalton has a Bogdan Bogdanovic comp.
No need to trade back just pick Donovan Clingan @#3. The only way that changes if Sarr is available.
Kel’el Ware fits so much better as a floor spreader and much more mobile. If we going clingan I’d rather go Edey. Taller, more mobile, more skilled in the post, and can shoot just as good if not better. Edey also played like 34 minutes a game which is huge considering he’s 7’4 300 pounds most players that height and weight don’t have the stamina to play those minutes.
This is a good draft for bigs - Sarr, Clingan, Ware, Missi, Edey, etc. Rockets need a big to rotate with Smith and Sengun to get The problem with Edey or Clingan rotating in for Smith is that you have two centers in at the same time with Sengun. Eason can easily fill in at PF, but it then cuts into minutes and he is a little undersized.
Reed is a no brainer for the Rockets.
As in “they have no brain” if they draft him at 3.
